Jones' Pizza Co

Porthmadog-Tremadog, Gwynedd
08/07/2021: A lovely setting by the lake and mountains. The site has so much potential but is ruined by filthy old toilets and showers, needs cleaned more than once a day. Burrito and pizza place is excellent.
08/07/2021: Was a spure of the moment campsite and we liked it that much we chose to stay another night from what we had planned. Located walking distance from Snowdon routes on the edge of Lake gwynant. Paddleboard hire was a BIG bonus for us too. Deffinately be returning

Y Sgwar

Porthmadog-Tremadog, Gwynedd
17/06/2021: This is an excellent restaurant. I dined there on 15/6/21. I highly recommend it - go out of your way to get there - it's worth the trip. I have hoteliers and caterers in the family so I have a critical eye sometimes. I couldn't fault anything in this restaurant. Great service, no fussing about, relaxed atmosphere, really well prepared and presented food.Book a table - it's always full.
14/06/2021: Y Sgwar was busy on Wednesday 9 June when we dined there. Yet the staff were working brilliantly, without fuss or fluster; as is often the case, you get good service in these conditions. Do try the roast belly pork, crackling melts in the mouth. Or the Sea Bass, just grilled. Absolutely great meal; great service

Caffi Gwynant

Porthmadog-Tremadog, Gwynedd, <20£
12/05/2021: Lovely cakes and coffee and the staff and venue were great too. I have to say though that the meals are just not our thing. Our mains were a bit too quirky and the numerous ingredients didn't work together, we eat anything as a rule and are not picky! We would return but not for a meal. The food reviews are amazing so maybe it's just us. It's subjective isn't it.

Caffi Colwyn

Porthmadog-Tremadog, Gwynedd
09/06/2021: Great food lots of choice if you want hot or snack - had the steak baguette which was lovely - excellent friendly service would totally recommend track & trace process in place
07/06/2021: We went for breakfast on our last morning in Beddgelert, we weren't disappointed! All of us had the Welsh Breakfast, which came with a hot drink, but wasn't a problem to change to juice for the kids. We were there for when the Cafe opened and the staff were welcoming and friendly! Once we found a table (all outside only at present), a member of staff takes the contact details for all over 18s at the table and then someone else took our order. We were not waiting for long, even though the tables filled quickly. The breakfast was lovely, everything cooked just as we liked it and we couldn't believe the thickness of the bacon. We will definitely be visiting again when we are next in the area.

Cafe Glendwr & Glaslyn Ice Cream

Porthmadog-Tremadog, Gwynedd
05/06/2021: After a little confusion over the signage with where to book/ask for a table we had a very friendly and helpful member of the team take us to a bench outside under cover.Great explanation on ordering via smartphone and no issues there whatsoever. Very easy and straightforward. The food was delicious - fantastic panini and hotdog, and lovely local beer. All fresh, hot, and only a short wait as well. The staff were all very helpful and the place was very clean and COVID secure.I'd highly recommend.Ps. Ice cream at the adjoining parlour is also delicious (didn't partake this time as we were full from lunch!).
08/05/2021: We arrived in Beddgelert tired and hungry, and had read the pizzas were good here. We ordered the pizza ‘combo’ which included a pizza, side dish and a craft beer for £15. The patron (I think) was welcoming and friendly and helped us through the ordering process. The pizzas, chips, salad and olives were really tasty and well made and nothing disappointed. Hoping to order again before we finish our holiday.

Prince Llewelyn Hotel

Porthmadog-Tremadog, Gwynedd
11/05/2021: We had a fabulous meal for four today , served by a lovely lady from Manchester, we all had the pies which were beautiful and Dizzy blonde pale ale which was also very very good , my son left his phone on the table and the lovely lady run after us to give it back , what a lovely dining experience, warm and friendly atmosphere would definitely recommend.
03/05/2021: Went for lunch and received excellent service from all the staff. Had steak pie and it was very nice ! Was kept warm with the heater and a blanket during the rain. It’s worth reserving whilst the COVID restrictions are on to ensure a good table. Will definitely go again and hopefully indoors

Chippy Dre

Porthmadog-Tremadog, Gwynedd
03/05/2021: Coming from Redcar on the North East coast, I grew up on fish and chips. The taste of fish and chips has gone downhill everywhere, but this really took me back to my childhood. Best cod and chips I've had in years, and a lonely portion of mushies
02/05/2021: Some of the best Fish and Chips we've had. Came the other night. Was amazing and we were worried it wouldn't be as good. It was even better. Theres a good reason people queue for this place.

The Golden Fleece

Porthmadog-Tremadog, Gwynedd
11/06/2021: We have just had a lovely meal here today. Both had burgers they were delicious and big portions too Service was excellent, Dog friendly too, they brought out a bowl of water for our dog Will definitely be coming again lovely pub
06/06/2021: Luckily we booked a table a few days in advance, they were continually turning people away while we were thereThey have a good selection on the menu, and the items we chose were served quickly. Everything was delicious. Attention to Covid precautions were faultless and we felt perfectly safe during our meal It’s also in a lovely setting in the centre of Tremadog - just don’t expect to be able to walk in without a reservation. It’s far too popular for that

The Saracens Head Hotel

Porthmadog-Tremadog, Gwynedd
19/05/2021: AMAZING STAY we booked this while on the way to Wales... and it was a amazing break. We checked in after climbing snowdon. And the staff were lovely. Even gave us a extra heater to help dry waterproofs. Zoe at front desk, was lovely and welcoming and helped us with any problems. Liz at breakfast was amazing, and even made the dogs a breakfast each of sauasges and biscuits. All the staff were very welcoming and chatty. And the hotel is very dog friendly. Its in a amazing area right night to the mountains and near the sea. The food was brilliant... burger was a big winner. And breakfast was yum . Thank you so much for a amazing free days, plus we even stayed a extra night. Defo be booking again.
06/05/2021: We stopped off here just after the restrictions had been lifted in Wales so we didn't expect everything to be perfect. One of the male outdoor waiters was very dismissive and would not engage however apart from him the rest of the team were really good. The drinks took too long to arrive in fact they arrived just as our food had arrived which we had ordered probably about 10 mins after our drinks. The food was hot and tasty - we both had the burgers. It is definitely priced as a tourist hot spot though!
