Had an amazing lunch here after a walk to the Watkin’s Pools. My partner and I shared the sticky beef pie + beef wellington hot dog. The food was unreal and cooked to order. And despite a suggested wait for the food it came out in amazing time! Matt, the owner, was wonderfully friendly, telling us stories of his time up the mountains and in the military. We had our Whippet with us and Matt treated him as if he was his own- even serving him up a fresh sausage. He also gave us some great recommendations for things to do in North Wales for the rest of our trip! If we were to do Snowdonia again, we’d come back here in a heartbeat, and bring friends the next time too. Thanks so much for a delicious lunch - only gutted that we missed the breakfast menu as that looked just as good !!!

Popped in here for a cuppa and snack and wow, what an amazing place. A renovated old chapel complete with Bible still on the Pulpit. Fabulous place Very welcoming Food is amazing ( Best BellyPork to be had) It’s on the menu as a side but could be a main. Bite size!!!! they were wedges of pork. Real shame, lunch menu wasn’t the best & definitely not what we expected for a cafe. I’m all up for cafes trying to be different but most things were £19, had a few awkward situations which I could have gotten over had it not been for the teenager serving thought he as possibly being ‘cool’ swearing the time when we had our 8 year old daughter with us. I was going to pass it off as him trying really hard to be friendly and cool until when they thought we had left, he did nothing but slag us off to other staff members when I honestly thought we were very polite considering the awkwardness he was creating. Totally strange experience and I won’t be back. Shame as we spend a lot of time in the area all year round.

What a brilliant cafe. The building is worth a visit in its own right, the interior is fascinating, with the original altar still in place. Decor and fittings inside complement the building perfectly. There’s plenty of outdoor seating too including fabulous pods. I loved the gear store for rucksacks. I just had a coffee, as it was only an hour since breakfast but there was a great range of food on offer and the plates coming out looked fantastic. Best of all though, the staff were so friendly and it was great chatting with the owner who was clearly born to work in hospitality. I had a great time.

Popped in yesterday to buy a couple of Smoothies and a cappuccino before we commenced the walk up the Watkins. The smoothies, were like water and my son didn't even finish his milkshake, when asked why they dont look like shakes advertised outside on the image board, we were told they ran out of cream! Seriously! why not tell us that whilst ordering! I mean that was a real joke, the Cappuccino was mediocre to say the least, despite a sign reading dont buy cheap coffee you only live once lol. I don't often take the time to write reviews, but this place is such a standout that I couldn't resist sharing my positive thoughts. After a trek up and down the mountain, we had about 30 minutes left on our parking ticket and decided to stop for a quick coffee and a bite to eat. Despite having our dog with us, we were welcomed and seated almost immediately by a very hospitable host, who turned out to be the business owner. The coffee and snacks were excellent, but what truly sets this place apart is the owner's joy and dedication to customer happiness. His warm and genuine hospitality made our visit memorable. It’s rare to find such a combination of great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I can't praise this café enough. We will definitely be returning in the years to come. Told tall tails of the amazing burgers they make at his cafe up the road… Well we couldn’t just take his word for it! walked the dog a few miles up round Nant Gwynant to go take a look and the guy ain’t kidding! Seriously good burger. A little pricey but the portions are massive and everything is home made. Just what you need after a long walk in the sideways rain. The owner and his family are incredibly welcoming. Couldn’t do enough for us and enjoyed the friendly chat while I polished off that massive burger and a couple of tasty local beers. My partner really enjoyed the local gin and he was even nice enough to show us the bottle and share how we can pick some up ourselves (yr Wyddfa, Purple Moose) Look forward to returning in summer on my bike! 10/10
