What a treat in the heart of the village of Beddgelert. Hebog serves truly beautiful & delicious food in a wonderful atmosphere. We come here year after year and are never disappointed.

What an outstanding bistro this is. We had a long weekend in Beddgelert to celebrate my wife's 60th Birthday with friends. It is obvious from reviews that this is by far and away the best place to wine and dine in the area so many months beforehand I contacted Bistro Hebog by email as I wanted everything kept a secret for the birthday weekend.This is where I started communicating with Chris who always responded to my 'Many' emails politely and professionally. Arriving on the evening of my wife's birthday, i finally met Chris in the flesh. He is a real character but more importantly, he's superb at what he does. Assisted excellently by Sam we were served beautiful food,wine and cocktails. The atmosphere is perfect,the service is spot on and the bistro has a bit of magic about it. What a stunning little place, right from being welcomed by Chris and his lovely front of house team, the staff were lovely and friendly, the food was just perfect from the canapés given on arrival through to the extremely cute Jaffa cupcake apres dinner cocktail (with a very funky edible cocktail glass) We had pidgeon breast, & blue cheese pana cotta to start and then the steak and duck for main course, all cooked to perfection and finished with a lovely Welsh cheeseboard. Cannot recommend highly enough and can’t wait to go back

We hoped that because we tried to walk in one evening and were unsuccessful and had to book for the following day, that this was indicative of quality and popularity. We were not wrong. Great meal, great service! Over the week we were in Beddgelert we sampled all the local pubs and restaurants and this was undoubtedly the pick of the bunch. Slightly more expensive than the others but definitely worth it - canapés to start were an unexpected bonus, the menu was not extensive but very interesting, service was excellent (thanks Chris!).

Was here back in May and the place is just as good. It is gourmet food in a totally unpretentious environment. The wine list is also excellent, from the mid £20's to over £100. Staff are all brilliant, knowledgeable of the food and wines.

A week away in Beddgelert allowed us to dine twice at this delightful restaurant. The menu is not vast, like other restaurants, but sufficient enough for the chefs to perfect their dishes. All courses were perfectly presented and absolutely delicious. Dishes that you don't normally see on menus in other places, other than fine dining. The staff were helpful, friendly, and curteous. Chris was amazing. As for value for money, I would say, it certainly is! This restaurant deserves 5* reviews, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! Thank you!

This is a hidden gem of a place with fantastic food. Every dish from starter to dessert was fantastic. Our waiter Chris was very kind and professional. We ordered the chicken burger, the duck duo and the cheesecake. All amazing! Managed to have a pint on the terrace on another day as well. Would definitely recommend this place!

4 of us ate there Saturday 31st 21:00 as we did not want standard pub fare. The food was amazing, everyone was stunned by the quality and presentation. Every plate cleared with some quality red wine. Went for Sunday lunch and this is without doubt the best one I’ve ever had.The roasted meats are so tender and the gravy was utterly delicious Prices are very reasonable too and such good service If you’re near Bedgellert do go but you may need to book

Visited Bistro Hebog today for lunch. First ever visit. We loved it. Delicious food on the new spring menu (apparently we were the 1st to try the new menu) which started today & and cooked fresh to order too. The blade of beef melted in your mouth and jus was delis. They also had Homebaked cakes. The scones had just been baked and fresh out of the oven. Yum! Nice coffee too. Waitress was lovely. Compliments to the chef. Will definitely go again!

We came here on the recommendation of our hosts at The Hideaway @ Hendre Hall, Penrhyndeudreath. Brilliant service, value for money and the food was a real feast. We’ll be back again.

Came here after reading reviews as we were visiting to climb snowdon. We ordered the beef and lamb sunday lunch which did not dissapoint. Both meats super tender, came woth mashed potatoe, roasts and fresh vegetables. The yorshire was huge and super crispy with extra gravy supplied. Nice portion size, very very tasty! We then had sticky toffee pudding and clotted creme ice cream which was huge, and i had white chocolate and raspberry creme brulee, wow just wow the full meal was beautiful! The hosts were fantastic, attentive polite and service was super fast. Along with the meal we had 2 pints and a soft drink and the bill only came to £54 which was very reasonable for the quality and taste. We would absolutely return.

We came for an anniversary dinner and were greeted with a card on the table which was a lovely touch. The food was fantastic, very tasty and beautifully presented. Incredible, best roast dinner in a very long time! Everything full of flavour, piping hot and SO cheap for what you get! Generous portions, lovely staff, amazing decor and definitely willing to travel 2 hours to go there for a meal!

Sure, this is in our own village, but not somewhere we frequent a lot, as home cooking is so good! We've never been disappointed, but they seem to have seriously 'upped their game', as the saying goes. The braised beef featherblade was absolutely outstanding and nicely cooked chips (fries) were substituted for the mash, because of my dairy-free as well as gluten-free diet. The chicken and bacon club sandwich was ordered by someone who really knows her club sandwiches and this was rated to be alongside the best. The steak pie was also considered good. We shared a bottle of the Lyre Bird Shiraz 2021, 14%, which paired very well with our choice of food. A full and yummy wine, it is nicely balanced, with great flavour, head and shoulders above much of the Australian shiraz found at a similar restaurant price elsewhere. The service was attentive. Tables were cleaned immediately when vacated and the music was not intrusive. What more can one say? It was everything for which one could ask, for an excellent lunch.

We only visit Beddgellert a couple of times a year as we live in England. However, we ensure that each time we visit we pay at least one visit here. The food is excellent, amazingly good in fact, staff are helpful and friendly and there's a nice warm atmosphere on a cold autumn evening. I had the fish starter which was plentiful and delicious, they've now just changed to the Winter menu so might have to go again, so is life!
