Caddy Cafe in Gwynedd

Perfect location for anyone doing the Wales Coastal Path. Unpretentious, good quality food, great value for money, and very good coffee (if you need an Italian-quality espresso to follow a no-nonsense fry up). Don't waste your time schlepping up the hill when you could be dining here instead. Fish and chips available Fridays and Saturdays too.

£9.50 (without a drink) for the terrible breakfast I had was a rip off. I ended up giving the dog outside the bacon and whatever that thing they pass off as a sausage was! Terrible. Ik it's camper season n you need to price up for the winter quiet season but at LEAST buy decent quality food! Awful and worse... felt ripped off.

Stingy burnt sandwhich’ not suitable for a hangover! Ordered a 4 item bap and a large 3 item bap but was told they only did one size. The 4th item (hash brown) came in a separate packet because it’s a 3 item bap when there’s a “make your own bap” option and of course if I enquire about a large, I want a generous portion! Ontop of that, the sausages was burnt and whole, and not cut to spread across the sandwhich along with charred bits of bacon. Bread was nice and soft though. I don’t mind paying more if it’s worth it and I’m satisfied. x2 tiny burnt sandwhich’, x1 mocha and 2 milkshakes = I feel robbed of £22! Disappointed is an understatement - look elsewhere if you’re considering.

I don't normally leave reviews, but felt like I had to with this place. The Full English was amazing and so were the staff, we'll definitely be back again.

We regularly go to Caddy Cafe, whether it's for breakfast, fish and chips or filled rolls, coffee. Service is always good and staff are professional and courteous. The food and drinks are always good quality, a good portion and tasty. Everywhere is clean and tidy.

After a few hours up at the castle it was nice to come down the hill and have a drink and cake. I had coffee cake and my partner had a rocky road. Both very nice, thoroughly enjoyed by both of us. The cake was fresh and soft. Few tables inside, and picnic benches outside too. Car park area with plenty of spaces. Toilet which was very clean. Friendly staff.

Just ate here, delightful little place tucked off the main road … staff were lovely .. well worth a visit

Fantastic breakfast! Ordered a large and a regular breakfast, sat inside at a nice clean table. Also ordered tea for two which came really quick. Tea was nice,, and plenty of it! Breakfasts came in about 10 mins, lolled and tasted delicious . The produce was noticeably great quality ! I liked that the beans were in a separate pot. My only criticism ,, and it’s a personal picky one is that the toast comes already done with margarine which I don’t like. Next time I’ll ask for butter or plain toast but as I said that’s a personal prefereance. The breakfast was really tasty and good value for what you get! Service was good too and the staff were friendly. Can’t wait to come back for another breakfast and to try one of the cakes on display! Thank you x

Just got back home after a few days in Harlech. We used this cafe after going to the beach to walk the dog daily. Very friendly and clean. We had their Fish & Chips that they only serve Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Was pleasantly surprise when they dish up REAL fish and chips like the chippy. Lovely spot to pop in for tea and cake.

Amazing quality breakfast cooked with care and pride. Lovely staff, and a fabulous flat white. Great fish and chips too.

Full post code would be good, open hours would be ideal, as a Coeliac these type of chippy's are very rare so finally finding it to find out it's shut drove not very happy doubt if we'll ever return

We visited Caddy Cafe twice over Easter. The staff are great, making everything to order. At very reasonable prices, we had delicious breakfasts both times.

Only stopped for a coffee but the place was great and the latte's wonderful.

Nice little cafe close to Min Y Don touring park. Lovely freshly made sandwiches and friendly staff. Enjoyed our lunch here and the prices were better that some of the cafes up near the castle. Thank you !

Stopped off here for a weekend breakfast while camping nearby. Had the medium breakfast which was a good portion to set us up for a day exploring Harlech castle and surrounding area. Very good value for money and filling, really clean restaurant inside and out (including toilets). Staff were generous, friendly and helpful,

The best gluten free fish and chips we've ever had. Easy parking, friendly staff and a nice location. Highly recommended.

Top notch breakfast bap with what was probably the best and freshest brown bread I've had in a long time. Great service too. I'll be back again when passing for work!

Friendly staff , clean premises and well cooked honest food. I went for the big breakfast because my eyes are bigger than my belly, I managed to eat the lot because I don’t like being defeated, but in hindsight, the medium would have been sufficient.

What a great little find. We were on the hunt for gluten free fish and chips and very pleased to have found the caddy cafe. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Curry sauce was yummy, gluten free and normal!

We always stop here for breakfast when in Harlech. Freshly cooked to order and so tasty - best breakfast around! We have also tried the fish and chips which are very good too.

Stopped here for a late breakfast yesterday and was treated to the friendliest of welcomes and the tastiest of breakfasts, along with a strawberry milkshake. Situated directly undrneath Harlech castle on the coastal road, this hidden gem deserves to do well. The cafe is clean, spacious and well decorated and the outside seating is a bonus if you have dogs, where we sat out with them as we ate! Ample parking spaces too. Will return in the future. Lovely place!👍

Called in whilst driving up the coast road Sunday morning. Very clean cafe and friendly staff. Ordered full breakfast which was cooked perfectly and tasted really good. Will definitely call in again next time I'm in the area.

Small cafe tucked away below the castle. Neat and clean, but serves excellent fish and chips. I do recommend the curry sauce, a good balance of flavour and warmth. At the bottom of a very steep hill, a navigation mistake on leaving will have your vehicle struggle on the steep climb.

Little gem of a find, this place. I'm not a huge batter fan but the batter on the fish was the best I've ever had 😋. The portion sizes were amazing, in fact none of us could finish our fish and chips! Our youngest had the cheese, leek and potato pie which she absolutely loved and called it the best pie ever. The girls both enjoyed their milkshakes too 😁 We thought it was all very reasonably priced. It's a lovely and clean cafe with tables inside and outside. They serve fish and chips on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday only. This place is definitely worth a try and we'd highly recommend it. We're even thinking about going for breakfast there tomorrow!

After checking out of our holiday rental, we stopped here for breakfast before the long run home. Excellent value for money, the standard breakfast was huge, as were the breakfast baps. All cooked fresh, but they easily managed to bring eight separate orders within a couple of minutes of each other. Just what we needed.

The fish n chips they do in the evening is to die for, with a beautiful light batter on a generously sized fish , just awesome !

We had had the fish and chips the night before and really enjoyed that meal. So, while waiting for our train we chose to try their breakfast menu. Another great meal was had by both of us. Same chef and the servers from the night before and this Saturday morning were outstanding.

Great cafe! Lovely breakfast with good quality produce, coffee menu to rival starbucks and fish and chips Thurs Fri Sat eves!! Right by the beach road, super friendly and spotlessly clean. Recommend fueling up at this place before you tackle that hill ;)

Best customer service I’ve experienced for a long time…I wanted a GF vegan breakfast..what I ended up with was tomato, beans and mushrooms. Great portion size, all freshly cooked and not oily. Everyone in the cafe is spotless, including the funky toilets. Really nice staff, food and place to sit. Highly recommend this place!

Best chip shop for miles! Fair prices and excellent service, superb quality food that's not greasy at all..everything is cooked fresh. Highly recommended! What more could you ask for!

We stopped today for coffee and sausage baps which were all delicious. We were short of time so we had to take away but the cafe was (and loos were) clean and comfortable. Honestly, both my sister and I commented on how delicious the brown baps and the sausages were. Well filled and very tasty. Very well recommended. Thanks. :D

The family had a great breakfast today at Caddy Cafe....will be back when next staying at the Min y Don campsite.

I had an excellent breakfast at the Caddy Cafe. The large breakfast definitely lived up to its name and was all very good quality and perfectly cooked. The coffee was also good and the service was friendly and fast; Top marks all round. I doubt you'll find a better breakfast in the area, I certainly didn't 👍
