Really nice little café in Beddgelert. Enjoyed one of the best baguettes I've had for a while, and they have Polaroids of all the dogs that have come to the cafe, which is a cool thing to do.

Lovely place in beddgelert! Brilliant food, lovely staff. My favourite part was the dog wall of fame - so many gorgeous pictures of all the dogs that have visited the coffee shop and we spent ages gawping at how cute they all are!

The most friendly coffee shop we’ve ever visited. We popped in on a very wet Monday evening when everything else was closed and had a fabulous coffee and cake. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble.

Owner refused us service because we were wearing face masks. I replied it was due to health conditions and elevated risk but he said he “hated them” and refused service. A real shame, I would’ve liked a take-away coffee and don’t see how my personal choice to wear a mask should impede his ability to make one. I support his choice to not wear a mask whilst conducting his business, but don’t see how my own precautions should have made him so anxious and agitated. I let him know it was nothing personal against him and explained our position calmly, but it seems we are not the only ones who have had a bad customer service experience here. A difference of opinion should not be used to justify targeted harassment of customers and a refusal of service. Is this legal?

Lovely coffee, fabulous playlist - a mix of old classics and some more avant-garde tracks which made the whole coffee purchase experience feel like we were in a performance art piece - in a playful, life-affirming way. The person who runs this place was very, very rude to us, we were visitors to the town and hadn’t realised that we had sat down on his picnic benches to eat a sandwich and drink a coffee. We had in fact purchased our refreshments in the store next door and ‘by mistake’ sat on his picnic benches to eat our food. The ghastly man ran out of his shop and screamed at us “when you have finished, do not use my bin to put your rubbish in or sit at our tables”…..he was extremely rude, obnoxious and unkind. All it needed was for him to explain and we would have apologised. I asked him to not be so rude but he just ranted

Perfect nights stay, felt spoilt rotten, amazing view, very clean, comfy bed, hot shower. 100% recommend to all

Lovely place. We visited in April before Easter and had really good tea and coffee, a nice chat with the man serving (owner?) and he even gave a free toy to each our three kids. Made us feel really welcome and the drinks were spot on too. Thank you!

Giving a 1star because your website days you are open but after visiting today you are not, not good business for tourists.

Witnessed the owner be abusive to cyclists for throwing empty an empty water bottle in his bin, even taking it out and throwing it at him, I was about to order a coffee as it was wet and windy but decided to freeze than give him custom. Go across the road the Prince do nice coffee with indoor seating.

To be fair, I can't really rate the coffee, as we didn't get served. We waited for quite some time, music on full blast in the shop, were not even acknowledged by the staff, gave up 3 songs in and went up the road, where they were perfectly lovely.

Visited Beddgelert this week and very little was open. After our walk we spotted activity at the coffee shop and joined the queue. It turned out, the gentleman had only opened to let a tradesman in and had ended up with a queue of people one of whom had to fetch milk from next door so he could serve us all. Lovely welcome coffees and a panini at a very reasonable price. Thank you from grateful customers!

Nice coffee, nice food. Absolutely baffled by the animal sounds being played inside (sheep, cows, lions, elephants etc). Very, very odd, and completely offputting. Maybe stick to Radio 1...

Best coffee and cake in North Wales

Very expensive food & drinks! The most unpleasant welsh person in Wales! No sales technically at all moans at you if you touch his window! So lost our trade and hopefully a lot more once people read this! Go else ware for your food much cheaper and better value! AVOID!

Coffee as you would expect, great. Option for non-dairy limited to oat milk. Quite a choice of cakes, bit pricey but I guess a popular tourist stop.

Lovely friendly little shop. We enjoyed baguettes and a great cup of tea here. It was very busy and I can understand why. Happy friendly staff with a lovely selection of fresh food.

Unusual coffee shop, everything is serve yourself, very little assistance from staff or rather no assistance from staff. Select food from window, nothing is priced except selection of coffees, so it comes as a shock when two baguettes and a coffee in paper cup was £15.30 (better than city centre prices) the coffee was very good, the baguettes were excellent very tasty. I feel that the little cafe was being run on a part time basis, the gentleman taking the orders was a little scruffy with little personality. Real shame it could have been a pleasant snack meal, spoilt by the price and lack of professionalism.

We had 3 great latte's there last Friday and were so impressed with the quality of their coffee we went back for more before heading home. It's just a small takeaway with some outdoor seating in the heart of Beddgelert near the car park and bus stops. The staff were a bonus, so friendly and helpful. WE WILL BE BACK!

Yes the coffee is good but neither of the proprietors wore face masks or followed any social distancing rules! I had the audacity to ask for a sweeter in my latte, which appeared to cause much amusement between these Covid non compliant so called coffee connoisseurs.

If you like a proper coffee, this is the place to go. There was some music on in the background which my children enjoyed and decided to have a dance outside which the gentlemen who was serving us had seen and came over to teach them a new dance. This went down extremely well and had them in stitches. My wife went for the Hot Chocolate and our children decided to eat her marshmallows, as we were leaving the same gentlemen brought both children a pot of marshmallows. It made our day and we will certainly be going back next year.Great coffee, great people...what more could you want!!!

Stopped here for a quick coffee before taking the steam train. The shop is pretty small inside - so you will soon make friends if it is busy. The coffee was good and the cakes were very good - especially the chocolate and caramel slice. They provide take away's if you are in a rush or just can't get a table.

Outstanding spot to find in a little town. Cappuccino, latte, mocha all delicious, served up by friendly barista. So good we dropped in every day of our stay. The cakes are all excellent, tried the carrot cake, Victoria Sponge, Welsh cake, Millionaire Shortbread, others I can’t remember, all good!Only downside is their erratic schedule, seem to open at their whim.

Genuinely great, real coffee, indeed. Prices are high. The older bloke was a real rip off merchant: he claimed he couldn’t do a single espresso for £1.80 and charged me £2.20 twice for a double as ‘the machine was not set up for single espressos’ - which to a trained barista is utter utter BS: You pickup the single handle and basket from the top of the machine where it’s lying and use that with a quick manual bean grind or single click - which takes about 0.85 seconds more - busted, son!

Called here last week. Cafe very small would only cater for 11 people inside with 3 small tables and about the same outside. Lovely cup of fresh coffee and wonderful choice of cakes. Took a little time to get served as only one person serving. Didn't matter we were on holiday.

We had a fabulous mocha (one with almond milk and one with regular milk) after a long hike. Service was excellent and they clearly use high quality chocolate for their mochas.

First time to visit the beautiful village of Beddgelert so first time to visit this coffee shop. I had the most amazing quality cappuccino and my husband had a mocha which was the best he had ever had. There were also fantastic home made cakes. We didn't have a dog but it is dog friendly with bowls of water outside.would definitely recommend.

Found this cafe by chance having had to pop to the local NHS Wales Walk minor injuries unit! The service was great, good selection of food and drinks. Would happily recommend that people pop in if they are in the area

Called in for mid morning coffee but tempted by the Victoria sponge and scones. Service quick and cheerful scones still warm served with excellent jam and clotted cream. Massive piece of sponge as well. Good quality coffee. Small indoor seating area and tables outside. Very good indeed. A number if coffee shops in the town this is the best one we have been to.

Visited this lovely little coffee shop on the way out of Beddgelert. The hot chocolate was delicious. The woman working was on her own, hadn’t had anything to eat all day, and truly was Wonder Woman managing to keep the busy array of customers all happy and make amazing coffee at the same time. She kept a friendly smile the whole time, despite being the only person working and having a queue of customers outside of the door. The shop itself is small, with only a few tables inside, but there is also outdoor seating available. The homemade cakes looked scrumptious. Would definitely recommend for a spot of coffee and cake.

By no means the only coffee shop of its kind, this is a saturated market. However as with most things in life, the people make the story. The owner of the shop, alone, was fielding orders left, right & centre. She was rushed off her feet but kept calm and delivered a great service to all. Also totalled up all order prices by memory power alone - A modern marvel in 2019. A great way to wind down before heading home after a day of walking.

Popped in for a quick takeaway coffee after a long walk, before our long drive home. It didnt quite happen that way as the beautiful looking cakes on display tempted us into having a sit down with a cake and coffee. They are really nice people who own and run the place, they take real pride in what they do and it makes you want to return. The place is lovely and well decorated, very clean. There is a seating area outside for the warm days, and the coffee and cake was top quality. We saw ithers eating various hot sandwiches that had been made fresh and they looked fantastic. Cant wait to return.

On a very rainy day we popped into the real coffee shop to get some take away carrot cake and Victoria sandwich for our party of 5. It was lovely and the service was as friendly as what we had come to expect in a North Wales.

lovely hot chocolate.. ... lovely service.. other customers were lovely.. the cakes were beautiful. ...I will certainly b calling in again this month. I hope it doesn't close for the winter...say for December and January and February...!!!!

As part of my Wales holiday, I decided to try Cream tea at all my pit-stops. This was one such town we visited and decided to sit out at the Real Coffee Shop. Weather permitting, this town is worth a visit and this coffee shop too. The honeycomb brick buildings, pretty coloured windows, a little stream and bridges over it, this town is almost like a fairy land. This coffee house is one too. The cream tea was delicious and the lady serving us was very warm and friendly. Definitely worth a visit

We stopped in for a spontaneous coffee, tea and fruit scone. The scone was warmed and tasty. The tea was okay, although the 30p extra for milk is a bit cheeky. The coffee was undrinkable. Overall expensive and very disappointing.

The guy working on Sunday was incredibly arrogant and rude. If it wasn't for the fact that i was in a large walking group I would have walked out. Weak coffee and dry cake topped it all off beautifully.. An exercise in how not to.

We dropped into this little cafe on the morning of 14 August 2018. I had a bad fall and my nose was bleeding. My sister ordered coffee for me but was given one more free. They gave us a whole bag for my swollen face. We sat there for quite a while for me to recover. We cannot thank the two gentlemen enough for their kindness. We 3 Singaporean girls will forever remember the Kind, Friendly, Helpful and Courteous people of Wales.

I loved it. The coffee is wonderful and not too pricey. The staff (owners?) were friendly and helpful, and took time to chat with customers. My wife is not a strong coffee lover, but thought the latte was great. She also recommends the cake.

Perfect spot to grab a drink and sandwich - not a vast menu which is great as the stuff you get is fresh. It's not cheap though, given the ingredients are basic and there's not a card machine. The shop next door does cash back so all is not lost.

Amongst a the other competition in Beddgelert the Real Coffee Shop succeeds by selling great coffee and excellent cakes. Speedy service but the prices were a touch too high for what was on offer.

We could barely squeeze into this little place, but we called in for a coffee and I'm glad I did as it was the best I've ever tasted. I asked what type of coffee it was and I think he said it was "oficina" brand possibly, I wish I'd paid more attention now. I'm not sure if they are planning to open up the back half of the building but I hope they are.

Visited here this afternoon on my own. Chose here rather than the larger busy pubs and cafes as prefer smaller places. Ordered a pot of Earl Grey and a tuna baguette, nothing fancy, but just what I wanted! Sat outside and enjoyed watching the world go by. Resisted the cakes, although they looked tempting. It's cash only, not a problem.

Loved this coffee shop. We were looking for somewhere in Beddgelert that did takeaway sandwiches so we could eat by the river, bought lovely baguettes & called back later for coffee & cakes. Highly recommend. Lovely staff who converted my 9yr son to granary bread!

Each time I have been here, I have been served really quickly. Cakes, baguettes and coffee are lovely. Cosy inside, but sat outside a couple of times too. Ideal stopping point on my bike rides. Friendly owners. Beddgelert can be really busy but i have never had to wait long at all for coffee and cake. Always a welcome stop and I will return again (usually on my bike!)

We fell upon this coffee shop after completing a walk up Snowden. We were camping in Beddgelert and were planning on getting a meal in the town, but when we turned up everywhere had stopped serving. This coffee shop was the only place that offered to help us in our plight for food. We had a lovely freshly made sandwich and cake, which were lovely. However for us it was the customer service and going out the way to help us which was so lovely. Thank you :)

After 30,000 steps up and down snowdon, we arrived in Beddgelert just after 9 to find nowhere was serving food! We were 4 very hangry women at thurs point! After being turned away by all the local pubs, we entered the cafe to see if there were any premade sandwiches or anything to buy. Realising our struggle, the lady at the cafe offered to make us all a sandwich each and we each had a slice of carrot cake too! We were so made up the fact someone had actually offered us something and more so that we were finally getting some scran! The sandwiches were lovely and fresh with plenty of filling and salad, and the cake was absolutely gorge!
