There is a nice picturesque driveway to this restaurant and on arrival we had a good welcome and we were promptly shown to our table. We started our meal with pate which was served with a decent chutney but alas it came with supermarket thin white sliced toasted bread and no garnish or salad whatsowever: I also disliked the wooden board on which it was served but that is just a personal opinion. For main course we had the sunday roast carvery which was just average pub quality food. That was followed by cheesecake which was good. Drinks were a little expensive with a small bottle of Peroni costing £4.35. After reading the reviews we looked forward to dining here but we left a little disappointed.

Food and service and surroundings excellent we all enjoyed every course .Felt like we were in a posh restaurant after the last few meals we had in the area but prices were not posh

Family group of 11 visited for a special celebration on Sunday 25th August 2024. There was a “Happy birthday” banner on the table which we thought was a nice touch. Friendly welcome at the bar. All seated quickly and order taken. Lovely carvery. Quality meat and plenty of veg. I particularly enjoyed the cauliflower cheese. All plates were empty and everyone enjoyed it. A mixture of desserts were chosen. All freshly prepared and delicious. The staff are particularly friendly here especially the front of house man. We will be back soon.

We visited for the first time today on family's recommendation...we were all very impressed with the location. Stunning grounds...stunning restaurant. We had the Sunday Carvery and it was absolutely delicious ....they also did amazing cocktails! Will most definitely recommend this place ...special mention to all the staff from the barman to the young male waiter they were so friendly and professional. Diolch

We arrived at the Aberdunant at 2.40 - reception was at the bar and were told to come back in 15 min - as our rooms weren’t available yet - I was under the impression that they were busy dealing with Sunday lunches and hadn’t got time to deal with us. Upon returning we were asked if we wanted to book breakfasts at £14 each they requested payment there and then - we were there for 5 nights and thought this would be payable at the end of our stay but it had to be paid on arrival - upon which we were given vouchers to produce each morning not the normal procedure in a hotel. We were told we were on the first floor and there was no lift as it was a listed building - so I asked if anyone could help with our cases and were told there was no one available - upon which a young waitress and young man said they would help us. The room was small but clean and modern with a little wardrobe and no draw space whatsoever the only draw was in the bedside cabinet - when you there for 5 nights you need some sort of chest of drawers we just had to just live out of our suitcase which we had to put on the floor. Don’t think the hotel is used to visitors staying longer than 1/2 nights. The bathroom had a corner bath with a shower fitted to one wall - so not ideal. The food was good but sometimes a bit over-facing but the cheesecake was excellent. On our last evening one of our party was sick/ill so we cancelled our evening meal - we popped down to the bar just after 6 to see if we could perhaps order cheese and biscuits which was on the menu but were told no not until end of service at 8.45. We just found the staff not very helpful/accomodating to hotel visitors. The grounds around the hotel are lovely and I think it’s more of a caravan/lodge site with hundreds of then nestling inbetween trees etc than a Hotel venue.

Excellent food and great atmosphere. Staff were fantastic. Suman and the team were incredibly friendly and provided great service. Can recommend the cocktails! We will definitely be back.

Incredible experience dining at this restaurant. Well hidden gem - spectacular service and ambience and the food was superb. Best Gnocchi and Lamb shoulder we have had. Could not recommend this place enough and the staff are incredible. Saman looked after us perfectly but they were all wonderful.

Came for dinner after a long day of walking. Food was a carvery (Sunday) which was delicious and had a good vegetarian option. Staff were so friendly and gave great recommendations, would definitely come back if in the area as we felt so welcomed 😊

Wonderful! We are a family of 4 ( 2 children under 3) and we recently have been to Aberdunant Hall Park. We’ve had a blast with the restaurant team, so helpful and friendly and welcoming. Many thanks to Suman, Ioan and Leo for their service, to Ellie to a delicious expresso martini and to others members, Neil and Jack. All made it extra special for my husband’s birthday.

We stayed here 8/4/24 and left on the 12/4/24.. its was unbelievable... we stay different places often and I can honestly day we don't have anything negative to say at all. We stayed in the woodland suite with our own private hot tub.. the suite was immaculate.. and really cosy!.. the hot tub was perfect! Its huge! You can change the colours of the lights inside the suite and also in the hot tub!.. its fair to say we are missing it already! Absolutely perfect for a getaway for us!! It was booked for my birthday by my finace and we will definitely be back!! The staff were friendly inside the bar area.. a young man was so polite talking to myself about his time away in Holland.. young enthusiastic lads who work well are hard to find these days.. the hot tub gets cleaned often too.. and the attention to detail inside the suite was clear to see! Often given new ropes for the hot tub most days. It was perfect.

Fantastic service from all staff including Neil, Suman, Jackson, Bunesh and Matt. Jack didn’t serve us today but he’s also an excellent member of the team. Beautiful, fresh food. Matt went out of his way to cook some extra crispy darker potatoes for my carvery. It was an unexpected surprise. Neil is a gentleman, carrying my 92 year old Nans food for her. The whole team under Annette’s leadership are excellent. Well trained, polite, efficient and a pleasure to be around. My son Alex works here too and he is well looked after and valued by the rest of the team. They really are an excellent bunch. Can’t fault it at all. Thanks to everyone for making the experience lovely for my visiting family.

Amazing Sunday carvery absolutely gorgeous, would recommend this to anyone. Matt went out of his way to get us darker roast potatoes, very nice mmmm. The service from the staff has been the best we have ever experienced. Suman Neil Binesh and Jackson were very friendly and helpful.

We booked for a carvery and we were running late, but the service and the lovely pleasant people that work there were ever so accommodating. We had young children with us.
