Service was very good. I only stayed one night but on arrival the receptionist was welcoming, polite and helpful. The room was clean and spacious but a bit noisy with the road outside even with double glazing. Car park was at the rear and spacious.

In all the years we've been going to Bancone, it was sad and surprising to have to send back my favourite pasta dish (Walnut Silk Handkerchiefs). It was unforgivably salty! That was a first. Thankfully, it was replaced without an issue and came back quickly and absolutely perfect, even warmer than the first. Just wonderful service. Later, ordered the fried artichoke, but the romesco was saltier! Inedible. Didn't have the time to have it sent back as had an event to attend. Not a great note to leave on. Either the head chef and his team are smokers to allow such salty food to go out, or the numbers are not what you'd like so need to make your patrons thirsty so they drink more. Whatever it is, it's a mistake. A year or so ago you were looking for investors to expand. If this is how you're expanding, allowing this inconsistency and low quality to be served, it will implode. Maybe that's what is going on. Can't say when I'll consider booking a table at Borough Yards again. And since Golden Square isn't a match to either Borough Yards or Covent Garden, we stopped going there ages ago, too. We've never had any issue with anything from the original venue in Covent Garden, just couldn't get in this time. Will definitely stick to tables there. Let's all hope and pray the quality stays there; I need my Walnut pasta ;-) The real positive is that the service team is most always fabulous and a pleasure. They cannot be faulted. Thank you. Clearly they're needed now more than ever.

Stumbled upon this place yesterday, 8th November and I’m so glad that we did. The food was so good and it felt as though we were both back walking the Camino Frances again. Good honest tapas in a down to earth, no frills, Family run restaurant. Honestly, give it a go. We’ll most certainly be going back. 👍🏻

Went for the second time a few weeks ago probably about 5 years ago was when we went last time . The ambiance was nice and the food was nice but the only thing that put me off and spoilt the experience was the music . I felt like I was walking into a night club not a Spanish restaurant. I was with my 19 year old daughter and her boyfriend and they commented on it before I did . I don't want to go to a cosy Spanish restaurant and listen to loud pop music. 😫

Pretty good place considering the location. I've been twice and as a person who grew up in Barcelona the food is pretty decent. I'm not Galician and I can't say if it's original or not... but the bravas are always drowned in sauce, and they're not really eaten like that. Check the recipes and you will improve a lot. Finally, salsa IS NOT SPANISH MUSIC, it is Latin music.

We’d not booked but that didn’t matter. We were warmly welcomed and seated straight away. A good drinks list with some interesting cocktails. Opting for the Spanish Spritz, a lovely combo of sweet sherry, Prosecco, ginger syrup and lemonade. It was delicious. The menu is interesting with some tapas staples but some different offerings. Sprouts with onions and pistachios were tasty and their special of albondigas stuffed with cheese in red wine reduction did not disappoint. A couple of glasses of wine from a small but nicely selected range. All in all a really lovely time that did not break the bank. Thanks guys.
