These guys saved our bacon when a power cut closed the kitchen of the restaurant where seven of us had booked our Christmas get-together. We walked in at three and were given a table for a couple of hours which was perfect for a tapas feast washed down with cocktails and Albarino. Good food at a resonable price, fantastic service and a great atmosphere turned a potential Xmas catastrophe into a fun day out. Well done...!!!

This is as a disappointing experience compared to a previous experience that I really enjoyed with my wife. The waiter didn’t understand the food he was serving. Got red wine instead of white. Which is fine. My food was cold, ordered Croquetas and Secreto. The bread for the pan con tomate was soggy. The food seems to have been prepared some time ago. Noticed another customer had the same complaint a few hours ago.

To avoid. I had an extremely disappointing experience. We ordered the “Secreto,” which was served cold. This alone was surprising, as any reputable establishment would ensure dishes are served at the correct temperature. We sent it back, expecting a fresh plate, but instead, the same meat was returned, clearly reheated. Not only was the reheated meat overcooked compared to our original order, but it also appeared way smaller when returned. This left us wondering if the dish had been tampered with during the process. Additionally, the purée served alongside was noticeably reduced in quantity, despite us only having tested it with a fork before sending it back. Reheating food, particularly premium cuts, is unacceptable at any restaurant, let alone one charging these prices. It displayed a lack of respect for the diners and raised serious concerns about the kitchen’s standards. I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience, as it fell well below the expectations one should reasonably have for service and food quality.

We’ve been to the one at Gt Portland St. several times but I guess having a late lunch on a Monday in Farringdon does present some challenges. The restaurant was far from buzzing and staff were more preoccupied with clearing up rather than attending to the few customers who were still there. However, food was very good. Stand outs were the black rice and pear & spinach salad. Chorizo lollipops and patatas Bravas were good too, but the beef cheek croissant was a bizarre and expensive concoction- never seen that in Spain! Overall still a good restaurant, but not as “special” as the Gt Portland St one

Meh. Overpriced, not very tasty pretentious ‘tapas’ restaurant. If there was a poster child for the state of restaurants in London this would be it. It’s all smokes and mirrors, beautiful inside and out, but falls short in every other way. The service is confused, lacks warmth and is simply not engaging. The food is average at best, and way overpriced - count £12-16 for each tapas. The wine is also overpriced - £32 for the cheapest bottle of white wine I wouldn’t spend more than £6 in a supermarket for. We got every single plate of tapas separately with a 10-15mins between each, only to be told this is how tapas is served - it’s not. Save your money and spare yourself the disappointment, unless you have more money than sense.

Overall average experience.. Venue is pretty and atmosphere is good. We came on a Friday evening, had 5 tapas dishes and 2 drinks. The main let down is the food, the taste was okay but nothing special. They told me this is a new menu.. But it is definitely not worth the price >£100 for two. The croquets had a good crunch and a soft tasty texture. Patatas bravas was under salted, slightly overcooked and dry.I would expect any reputable tapas place to have this classic dish nailed down. (also the waiter said this was his favourite dish and the best... Which is really really concerning if this is the quality they're used to ) Hake was a questionable dish... It didn't fit in with the menu at all, looked like a pseudo fine dining dish. Tiny portion, really tiny. Sauce way too acidic and not balanced. The fish was cold The black ink paella was actually decent, the texture was excellent, well cooked, but was a bit stingy on the prawns. Overall the place has potential, but unfortunately a mixed bag from the kitchen. The menu and cooking needs attention

Let me start by saying the food itself was amazing. Spanish tapas- small plates. The prices are a little high for the tapas, but when in London….. the service was pretty good, but did have to wait for 10 minutes for fresh bread. Asked for picos and they gave us about 5;) not many for a party of 4. We would go here again if in London but coming from Spain the tapa prices are higher than we expected. The atmosphere was wonderful. No reservation and got a table quickly.

Walking around the neighbourhood and chanced upon this cosy restaurant. Walked in without reservations. Actually it’s quite big inside. Very authentic Spanish tapas and choices of iberico ham. Loved the Spanish omelette. Had the croquettes, patatas, interesting chorizos like a fritter on a stick, and burger sliders. Warm hospitality from the crew and Picasso sketch prints across all the walls. A gem of a place to visit.

Had the seafood Paella, wasn't impressed with all parts of it. Rice, sauce and seafood. The rice on the edge was not fully cooked and was starchy and gritty on the teeth, there were definitely no caramelisation as opposed to other review. There was too much salt in the paella, making the entire dish overly salty. I'm not sure but the saltiness could be coming from the not very fresh prawns, being quite mushy, indicating they're not very fresh. Wasn't too happy with the paella overall, was expecting it to be nice given the amount of reviews, maybe had a bad batch. The dark chocolate churros were nice, freshly made sprinkled of sugar ontop, with soft interior and slightly crisp exterior. The dark chocolate sauce made it a nice classy desert. Overall, me and my friends were very disappointed with the seafood paella

Ibérica in Farringdon provided a delightful Spanish dining experience, largely thanks to its warm and welcoming staff. The restaurant offered a commendable selection of wines, though we found the prices were on the high side, perhaps reflecting regional differences. Despite the cost, the wines we chose were excellent, and we were pleased with our selections. The tapas-style starters were beautifully presented and flavorful, and the Spanish omelette was particularly noteworthy. While we initially considered the paella, we were intrigued by the lamb family sharer. Unfortunately, when it arrived, it was considerably smaller than the advertised 1 kg, leaving us feeling a bit shortchanged. While the lamb itself was delicious, the portion size left a lot to be desired for a family ( Estimated 300 or 400g). Overall, Ibérica is a lovely spot to enjoy Spanish cuisine. The Italian server was particularly attentive and provided excellent service. However, the restaurant could benefit from staff training regarding dish sizes to ensure that customers receive accurate information.

We managed to get a table at reasonably short notice, and like other reviewers mentioned, it was very loud - not the restaurants fault, but wouldn't go if you wanted something quieter. What was the restuarants fault, however, was the food and delivery. We hadn't finished our starter before the main tapas started coming out, but even that was piecemeal. If i ignore the timing, however, the review is Cheeseboard - not bad, but the blue was the star Chorizo pops - really good to be honest Spanish Omlette - have honestly made better at home when hungover Pear Salad - the star of the night and was genuinely lovely Patatas Bravad - small portion, but it was ok Mushrooms in Sherry - just plain bland, not sure if there was any seasoning and couldn't taste the sherry Sliders - unbelievably dry and overcooked The waiter is worth an honourable mention, but I certianly wouldn't go back anytime soon.

The food was extremely disappointing. We ordered a plate of cheese with olives and bread to start, which were fine. Can’t go wrong with cheese & bread, can you? And we shared a few tapas between use which were extremely disappointing. The baby squid was too salty. The hake tempura too oily. The patatas brava needed salt & totally lacked a kick. These are just a few examples. We ordered Virgin sangria - luke warm & super sweet … We had flan for dessert which was excellent, hence two stars, instead of 1. I don’t recommend this restaurant.

The food was average at best and when the final bill came, it made it overpriced for what it was. Not to mention being asked to leave while we were still grazing. I would have expected an “authentic tapas restaurant” to remain open a little later. I also asked one of the waitresses for an ice cube, which she refused and told me they don’t have any while walking off in a sassy attitude. For a central London restaurant, brazen enough to charge X-amount for average food, I found that hard to believe. After a ten-year break I returned tonight and I have to sadly give it very few stars. We waited a long time for some of our tapas. We had to chase both water and wine a couple of times. The padron peppers were just not there - either not well cooked or not particularly fresh. The ham was OK but the quality I remembered so fondly is gone from both food and service. The kids had the £9 kids meal which was fairly priced on paper, but when it came turned out to be three prawns, two small croquettes, a handful of chips and three sauce pots. We paid about £112 in total for four tapas, two £9 kids meals, one glass of red wine and what must have been a very expensive bottle of water. What happened, Iberica?

From being charged £4.95 for water when we had clearly said 'tap water' (we also got the £49 wine bottle...), to the 3 poxy strips of bread (see picture) with the sobrasada, the tiny suckling pig strip for £25, or the fact that our waitress told us bread with tomato was not available yet the long table next to us got several plates as apparently 'they had prebooked' (??!???!?!), and finally, the 12.5% service charge when our waitress did not once come over to ask how our meal was, and paid very little attention to us. Didn't eat, so I can't comment on the food, but the bar staff were great. Special thanks to Jhoe for some great Latino hospitality! Lovely pink cava and great service.

I loved this place! I recommend the black rice with prawns - to die for. Also the rice pudding - delicious. Also loved the toasted bread with tomato. Calamari tapas also good. Just a side note for those not used to British restaurants: this is not a quiet one. So maybe not the best place for a first date, because of the noise and also the erotic nude sketches on the wall.

Had delicious food and wine here. Honestly the best croquetas and patas baravas ever. Better than the nicest places in Spain even! The restaurant was really cold and at times it was noticeable that the service wasn’t great. But would definitely come back to one of the restaurants. Maybe when it’s warmer or maybe it was a fluke.

We were looking for a good Spanish restaurant that would also offer paella and this place didn't disappoint. Excellent tapas and delicious paella. The place is quite big with very high ceilings and a pretty big open space, so it can be quite loud so prepare to shout a bit across your table. The service is incredibly kind and waiters are very open to assist and help with any questions. Good wine list. Last but not least: proximity to the tube and train station makes it extremely practical to get there - will definitely go back

The kitchen closes at 3 pm, but we arrived at 2:40 pm, ordered our food, which arrived quickly and was delicious. The staff and the chef were super kind. We wanted to reorder one of our dishes, and they made an exception for us even though the kitchen had already closed.

We visited iberica spontaneously, but we were accommodated by the welcoming front of house! We sat at the bar and we ordered a couple of tapas wine and a cocktail. The guy at the bar who served as was very sweet, and kind! The food was amazing, we had the pig shortbreads (just so tasty), the amazing croquettes, and the toasted bread with tomatoes which was nice. I had a glass of Licis 2015 Mencia. It was elegant, soft after notes, earthy and with a hint of lavender…easy to drink. would come back!

Where is the food? As a long term customer I was shocked to return today and see the hike in prices in conjunction with the disappearance of the food! Obviously costs have risen and are crippling the business but to increase the costs and give virtually no food with each plate and then try disguising the lack of food with restaurant presentation tricks. In brief in all very sad. I must say when wee mentioned this to the staff we got a discount however even so, with food being the basis of a restaurant not having any on your plate and paying for the pleasure is beyond comment AVOID>

We stayed nearby on a recent trip to London and ended up going to Iberica twice for dinner. Fantastic atmosphere, delicious food, and well worth the visit. You’ve got to try the croquetas! Great place for couples, small group, or large group.

A very authentic Spanish place located in Farringdon. We had to book in advance to secure our table, although it wasn’t really crowded when we had our lunch there. We enjoyed a couple of classic Spanish dishes, which were totally worth it. My only comment is that the toilets weren't very clean and tidy, and I didn't really like that. They have another branches in central London, you can search for them.

We stopped in here on a whim as it was cold late and one of the few places with a restroom. We were treated to some of the best tapas we have had. There was some up selling being done by staff but it wasn't over the top. Would go again for a special occasion but was a bit expensive for just a random Thursday night in my opinion.

One of the best Spanish restaurants in London. Have tried so many Spanish options in UK, Ibérica went way above my expectations, it strikes the right balance between quality of the food, variety of dishes, portion size, and service, without overwhelming expensive prices common on this area for a restaurant this quality. I’ve found many Spanish restaurants in London give you the basic tapas, with moderate-quality ingredients, or not cooked in the right way. Everything we had at Ibérica, was fresh and flavour-rich. From the bread with tomato, to the croquetas, meatballs, chorizo or patatas bravas. They also offer a good selection of wines. We had an excellent cava rose, tried alvarinio, and a very good blend of Cabernet + Syrah for the red option. We didn’t make it to the dessert, just out of space, but plenty of good options. They also offer a set menu and a seasonal Christmas menu, but I believe it is available only some days. Will definitely come back!! Gracias.

Tasty food and was popping hot to my mouth which was enjoyable. Considering food arrived early and I was happy it that it came early. Just sadden they didn’t give me no salad for the curry’s and rice. I also didn’t receive any sauces for poppdoms and had to it it dry. Although everything was to a good point.
