Roman Tapas and Grill in Islington

Tasty food and was popping hot to my mouth which was enjoyable. Considering food arrived early and I was happy it that it came early. Just sadden they didn’t give me no salad for the curry’s and rice. I also didn’t receive any sauces for poppdoms and had to it it dry. Although everything was to a good point.

As always very delicious and they gave us a free tarka dal and drinks. Thank you.

Delivery on time, food was hot fresh and delicious

Every single dish was swimming in oil. Unbelievable. So much so that each dish overflowed through the containers, through the paper bag and through the plastic bag making it impossible to open cleanly. Had to put tea towels down first to stop the oil seeping onto worktop. We would have been happier if they served half the amount so that the oil didn't spill eveeywhere during transit. If you like oil, go ahead and book.

Chicken biryani was good but chicken breast chunks was too chewy. Also no flavour on chicken. Greasy for my liking. Veg and potato curry were oily. Could do with more flavour. Mango lassi was so thick I couldn't sip it even with a straw. Came in a tub rather than a drink cup. I tried to whip up the lassi with ice cubes and little water to make a good consistency in my smoothi maker to drink, but yoghurt the restaurant used was too thick and tangy. Also too many mango bits. Please use less oil, food would still be tasty.

One star short because alot of oil was all over the bag which leaked from the curries. Overall the food was amazing. Think I got a potatoe side dish as complimentary not sure as I didnt order it. Hot on arrival. I havent had great tasting food for a long while and this place is the best! Will definitely be ordering again. I hope the food quality doesn't go down like other places.

Food was very tasty. Really enjoyed the chicken, full of flavours. The mint sauce is delicious, it reminds me of my dad's mint sauce. Will definitely order from here again.

Appalling that you charge £3 for a bottle of coke and then deliver price marked drinks that state £1.95 on the bottles. Can't fault the food

Quick delivery, food was delicious, big portions, everything was hot, few items was missing but they apologised and will send it in my next order. One of the best Indian takeaways I've had! Will definitely be ordering from here again!

The food on this occasion was poor quality, missing items, the dishes were 1/2 portions the vegetable curry was very watery and had very few veggies in it just a few carrots and a bit of small pieces of cauliflower, the food was extremely salty and was very difficult to eat and we had to throw most of it in the bin... WASTE OF MONEY!!

Food was nice, but late delivery

Previously there food was very nice and fresh but this time the food was horrible, salad was rotten, doner and grill chicken was burnt, biryani didn’t taste like biryani,wings was like pieces of plastic.wasted my money and time, no one enjoyed the food. Delivary driver was friendly and polite.

We used to order from here every week and the only reason we stopped was because of delivery time, they start delivering around 6.30 and as a family we like to eat around 5, we thought we would have a late dinner today and it was worth the wait, delicious food hot and fresh, early delivery and friendly driver.

Pretty poor this time round. Missing food items, no offer of a refund when I called up, and the food was old. Swimming in oil, separated sauces, cold on arrival. Disappointing.

Such a shame, as when the food does arrive it's lush. However, waiting 3 and a half hours for your dinner just doesn't cut it. Also, called the restaurant multiple times to be told it was on its way. No management of expectations.

Waiting over 2,hours, the free dish was missing, after waiting soo long you would have thought they would have just put it in , for the inconvenience, food is in the oven, heating up 🙄

I ordered from this place in the past which I had no problems with, but this order was burnt and no flavour in the tandoori all what we can smell is burnt onion and burnt tandoori without any flavour or taste. Total waste of my money. The food was disposed by the family and I'm very disappointed

Good quality food and very pleasantly surprised at the price, they thre in complimentary starters too. First time trying and definitely will order again. Was well worth the wait.

No steak chips with peri peri , also at least one hour minimum wait for the orders ,

Prawn puri lamb bhuna and pilau rice was all really nice, peshwari naan really good.. delivery on time and friendly driver..

Best Indian takeaway in East London we have tried plenty in our area nothing compares with this one, thank you for your wonderful food, also great prices.

I order a King Prawn Rogan, dissapointed with the size of the prawns, there was nothing King about them. The most expensive dish and I felt deceived with the product. Shame can’t include the picture I took. So, no I won’t be ordering from Roman Tandoori again.

Food was timed well and still hot when it arrived. All food was as ordered and very tasty. Driver found the intercom and used the buzzer which is hard for most to work out. He was a lovely polite man too.

Food was Tasteless, Doner kebab was burned-out & salty. Chicken tikka roll & sheek kebab roll was horrible. This was the 1st time we decided to try this local place and it was definitely the last time. Would never use this place again. Avoid this place.

I have gave them loads of opportunities and ordered from here but they continuously let me. Down the food arrived the last time a hour late and this time 42 minutes late. They are very rude as well very bad customer service. Will not order from. Here again

I ordered king prawn puri starter iv had it all the time one of my favourites but seeing it’s my first time ordering from Roman tandoori they decided to mix it more with about 3 small prawns and half of king prawn if that, very disappointing.!!!! My tikka biriany had chunky onions pc u

Fantastic food quality, I would say the best Indian take away I have had in years, the onion rice was fluffy and light the chicken Massala so tasty and really tasty Nann Bread also I very polite delivery man, this will be my choice next time without doubt

The wait time was way too long considering the shop is a few mins away and as a regular customer the food was to a different standard to what we normally have had in the past. It was all way too overly spicy it had us unable to eat and the flavour was different it was pure chilli no taste. Even the chips which normally come as they are were covered in paprika or chilli powder it was an unusual take on a meal we often order and will now only order in person at the shop ourselves as we had to throw the remaining food. It was as if someone who has a specific take on the meals we chose ordered. My guess is that they thought my address was a customer who has these requirements as it was almost ‘made to order’ and most definitely not to our taste. Only complaint I’ve ever made about this establishment normally 100% quality. Shame

Ordered food at 7:25pm. Food did not arrive until after 9pm. We called the restaurant 5 TIMES, received responses of "the food will be with you at x time", and then "it is on its way" etc.... had to ask the restaurant to contact the delivery driver. Very unhappy with the service, it ruined our night in. Should have gone else where. Will not be returning.

My friend wanted a chicken curry and got chicken with what we suspect was lamb... it said 20 minutes for collection and it was 50 minutes. The food overall was ok but not the best.

The only saving grace of this delivery was that the onion bhaji was crisp. The lamb chops lacked flavour and tasted like mango chutney.. not very tasty at all. And the popadoms did not arrive with the rest of the dishes so we had to wait even longer for them with a very vague estimation of how long they would be.

We got peri peri chips YAH, we had to call to make sure 🙄 but we got it 💣💣

Not only did that keep telling me it was 5 to 7 minutes(?) away half an hour later it turns up with main meal missing just starters rice and sides. Oh plus an extra rice no idea why. Com0lained and only refunded the main meal that was missing. What a joke and Just Eats not willing to do anything else. Still no peri peri seasoning on the chips I wrote it down 3 tumes and every time I get an order, they don't read the messages for the restaurant, people with alliegies need to be carfull, they don't read it 🙄 I wrote it 3 times & Still didn't get it 🤔

Never received my naan bread. Called 3-4 times asking when it will come. They say a hour. Been waiting 2 and a half hours. Not happy. Very angry. They cut off the phone and lied and told me they was closing. I heard "you have a new order" in the background 🙄🙅

We order from the takeaway on a regular basis but this will be the last time, the food is never on time and is at least half hour late everytime. On this occasion the order should have been delivered at 7pm its now nearly 8 and we still do not have our order. As i said this is the last time we will waste our time with this takeaway.
