Great service although food was disappointing

Rude staff were upset that I dared to walk in. Unable to sit next to my partner as that affected their seating plan. Food absolutely dire, we ordered padron peppers which were like none we've ever eaten before. but the beer was nice and cold. Prawn and monkfish skewers tasted like they were frozen. Avoid this place.

Superb cooked food. Impressively quick from ordering to arrival at our table. Good choice of wines. Will be back again soon !

Came here for lunch with a friend. We had a bottle of prosecco and a selection of tapas. The food was good, although the croquettas weren't as good as my family recipe (sorry!) The seafood was lovely and the chicken strips were succulent. It was very quiet, and we chose to sit outside, which meant on a couple of occasions we had to go and find service when we needed it, but service was friendly

Food was really nice. Unfortunately, the football was on (which we were trying to avoid) but staff were still attentive and friendly and sat us as far away from the tv screens as was possible!

We went as a family of four. The food here is absolutely delicious! One thing was not got right was our paella. I ordered a food one they delivered a meat one. We are easygoing people so it was fine. It helps that it’s delicious. Tapas - we have 6 including the salad. See pics. Absolutely recommended. But you could skip the chicken wings and order something else. Chicken wings are… just wings. Nothing special. The rest is so yum! The paella carne is delicious. The chorizo is soft not chewy. Sorry forgot to take pics! We also ordered the grilled seafood - salmon, sea bass, mussels, monk fish and 1 sardines. It tasted fresh as if off the sea. How ? Beats me! It was gorgeous! We also had 4 cocktails. The peach one is sooo good. Skip the passion fruit one. So tangy! Dessert was churros and profiteroles. Both are gorgeous! Staff was attentive and not intrusive. Service was quick and it’s a laid back atmosphere. For 4 people with 5 tapas, 2 mains, 4 cocktails, 2 desserts and 1 tea came to just under £139 with service charge included. It was our first time here. Definitely would come again. I totally recommend it!

Excellent food, friendly staff. We went on a very quiet night so difficult to judge the atmosphere. We had a great time and lived the Paella. Desserts were amazing. Also good value for money, I had to check the bill twice as I thought they had missed something.

Coming from a chef this is the worst Spanish Tapas I have ever eaten. The kind of food English people say is “ top notch “ after they went on holiday to Costa Del Sol once. Served by Anthony who was the only good waiter, rest of them sitting and drinking by the bar watching the football during service.

First time here and will definitely be back. Food was amazing, quick service and reasonable prices. Lots of choices so the only disappointment was not being able to try everything on the menu. We Had mostly Tapas so will be back soon to try other dishes.

My husband and I have eaten at the restaurant on a number of occasions. Living some 40 miles a way it is a treat to enjoy the delicious selection of tapas on the menu. The restaurant is immaculate, the staff friendly and efficient and the food amazing. We very much look forward to our next visit.

Really enjoyed my evening at La Tarraza. The tapas is amazing and there is something for everyone to enjoy. A fun atmosphere, their espresso martini is one of the best I have ever had!! I Would highly recommend and I will definitely be returning.

Mega slow service, food was average.

Think staff are a little complacent as they get tips anyway via service charge. Drinks came quite quickly and menu's. When food came that was it, no checking back to see how food was no asking if we needed anymore drinks no asking if we would like a desert menu. Almost £40 in service charge for a table of 6 is a lot when the service isn't that good. However, food is good as is atmosphere. Scrap the service charge

Super waitress surrounded by other staff that gave off the impression that they didn't really want to be there. Had high hopes for this tapas restaurant but the food was disappointing. We had to send back the liver dish. A shame, but unfortunately i can't recommend this place.

Our group of 8 ladies have now celebrated two birthday get-togethers at La Terraza and have much enjoyed both visits. The food is excellent - quite rustic but very genuine tapas, and goodly portions too, so we only ordered 14 dishes between us! The service is quick and efficient, without being too friendly and we were generally well looked after. The main downside for us is the noise! There were several groups of people, and lots of children and we did find it quite difficult to hold a conversation above the ambient racket. It is bustling for sure and a jolly atmosphere, probably not right for a quiet romantic night out!

Do not seat yourself by the bar as it has noisy people there, food was over garnished, salty, sparse vegetables, had to overwait, expensive, the bread was good, could not wait to go home.

Don't eat near the entrance bar as it is used as a local bar and has noisy men, my food was salty, over garnished, poor amount of vegetables, lamb was ok but destroyed by over garnished, after the lamb the only good thing was the bread and butter, could not wait to leave.

Got married today and went to the restauant for lunch with our guests . Made so welcome, great service and really good food. We all left really full and very happy. If you have not been you must go. Have given a 3 for atmosphere, but it was lunch time only. Still a lovely place to be.

Visited this place on a Sunday evening, went in without a booking and were seated easily. Not from this area so we took a chance on this place as we didn't want to eat chain pub food. There were enough people in to create a buzzing atmosphere but not too packed so it was nice. The service was really good, relaxed and friendly that made us feel at ease. The food was absolutely beautiful, every bit of sauce was mopped up with bread and every mussel shell cleaned. Would really recommend this place, after a long day at thorpe park it was the relaxed and delicious antidote to a long busy day that we needed. Thank you to the staff 😊

Although things started well, after initially being shown to our seats, it took a long time to get someone to take our drinks order and then to get our drinks. The same with the food order. When the food arrived it was very good. Unfortunately the end of the evening wasn't so good. My friend asked if he could have a taste of the house red and was not pleased with what came. He therefore asked what alternative single glass reds they had available and asked for a large glass of his choice, which when arrived was not 250 but 175 size which us both agreed was definitely medium not large but decided wasn't worth the hassle as it was so difficult to get anyone's attention and would sort it out when we got the bill. This was where we were wrong. We were basically called liars and we were charged £13,95 for a medium glass of wine. Needless to say we won't be returning.

There for the first time and came away very happy. We were made welcome as soon as we arrived,the food was so good and the sevice was excellant. Must say the Paella has my vote. Big thank you for a lovely lunch and will be back very soon. Mick and Sherry.

We ate at 4pm on Sunday 30th July 2033. We had never been before but the staff immediately made us feel that we were very valued customers - just the right balance of attentive without constantly interrupting our conversation. Excellent customer interaction. 👏We ordered 3x tapas which arrived promptly, and then had the Paella Valenciana. There was a warning that this might take a while, but we didn't notice the wait. The almond cake/pie and coffee finished the meal off to perfection.👍 B.T.W. my husband LOVED the olives.🥰 Can't wait to go again.

They could come to your table a bit quicker and there are a few flies around the table and it can get a little cold in the restaurant but otherwise it’s amazing!! I’ve been here twice and love it. Food is great!

My other half is Spanish and pretty hard to please when it comes eating her native food in the UK. We had five dishes all of which we very generous in portion size and more importantly tasted delicious. The calves livers and onions were the best i've eaten and the cod came a close second. Pricing per dish is pretty consistent with what we pay on Spain, but the portion size was much more generous, so 5 dishes were ample where would normally have had 6 or 7. £75 with half bottle of wine an including tip seems pretty good value for such delicious food and great service, which sadly is pretty hard to find post-pandemic. We will definitely be coming and bringing friends !

I so wanted to leave a 5* review. The starters were delicious. Scallops were moth watering. The steak and the lemon sole were both fantastic. But the dessert was a pre packed and sadly badly microwaved soufflé with squidgy cream. A real disappointment to what was a brilliant lunch.
