Disappointing Experience I recently dined with my husband for a quick bit to eat and I must say it was a very disappointing experience. We ordered only two dishes: calamari and patatas bravas, and unfortunately, neither met our expectations. The calamari was incredibly tough, resembling rubber in texture, making it difficult to chew and swallow. Additionally, it lacked any discernible flavor, which made it even less enjoyable. The patatas bravas were equally unsatisfactory. While the outside appeared cooked, the inside was noticeably undercooked, leaving a raw, unpleasant texture. To make matters worse, the sauce that accompanied the potatoes was bland and lacked any distinctive taste. Overall, this visit was far from what we had hoped for. We left feeling very dissatisfied and will definitely not be returning. 🫤

The restaurant is cosy, yet wonderfully decorated. The menu is sizeable, and there is no lack of options for diners who are vegetarian, prefer meat, etc. Most of the tapas are gluten free—see my "Dietary Restrictions" note below. The Berenjenas al Horno (aubergine) and the cod and potato croquetas were particularly nice. Waiters recommend 3 tapas per person, but it my experience 2 was filling enough for lunch.

Decided to come here after living in the area for over 30 years and always wanting to try it! We were not disappointed! The service was friendly and welcoming, despite the kitchen closing an hour before we arrived. All the food we tried was incredible! And the portion sizes very generous for tapas. We enjoyed everything we tried, and my parents said they would definitely like to go back to try even more!

Great tapas and very good wine. The atmosphere is very Spanish. Service very good and friendly. Will be returning there again soon.

Well definitely not cheap definitely not good service miserable woman definitely not decent food! Absolutely tasteless greasy over cooked garbage! Monkfish wrapped in ham and cabbage...where was the ham? Thrown on soggy cabbage as big as an eye patch....£14.. CON! octopus£ 15 couldn't eat it like rubber in to much oil...errr. left more than we eat couldn't get out of there quick enough..horrible...as Spanish as a burger king..

Was lured in by the decor as it's quite striking from the outside with all the Spanish paraphernalia. Unfortunately the food didn't quite live up to image. It wasn't bad just wasn't great, the meatballs were bland, as were the sweet potato fries. The padron peppers weren't seasoned enough either. I know it's tapas but the portions didn't feel generous for the price. A pint of beer is practically £9 inc. service charge which is steep and my partner was convinced the churros was frozen. We were almost double charged for one item to which the waiter replied 'well it's only £4' - then he was having issues with the card machine and practically grabbed my credit card out of my hand. It's because he hadn't pressed the right button. Doughnut! At just under £100 for two I won't be returning.

Usually, I refrain from leaving restaurant reviews unless they're positive, but in this instance, I feel compelled to warn potential customers. We visited this establishment over the weekend, initially excited by its inviting interior. Upon entering, the atmosphere was pleasant. Opting for a sangria and water, we began with three tapas: chorizo, croquetas, and crispy bites. Unfortunately, the chorizo was extremely tough and lacking in good flavor, a disappointment for someone who has spent considerable time in Spain and never encountered such poor quality chorizo. The croquetas and bacalao were passable but seemed to be straight from the freezer, fried and served. I am not say they were, but taste like it!!!!. Next came the seafood paella. The fish was of low quality, and the mussels emitted an unpleasant odor, and couldn't eat the prawns , truly a disappointing experience. The only saving grace was the dessert, the churros, which were barely adequate. The total expenditure for two was 100 pounds, and I felt swindled.This was my first and last visit to this establishment. But hey considering other positive review, I would say the chef was not on is best day!!!! But not much he could do with the product anyway. My suggestion to the management? Invest on good quality product and premium ingredient in order to maintain high the good tradition of Spain. Wish you all the best and good luck 🍀

Wow, I took my missus here for her birthday and we were not disappointed. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were transported to Spain, the decor is simply wonderful and set expectations for the food immediately. Needless to say we were not disappointed. There was a fantastic selection and the most memorable was (I forget the name by was the house special priced at around 26 pounds) skewered steak cooked to our preference in a delicious garlic, herb and salt dressing. The meat was an abundance of flavour and not one bit of fat on it whatsoever. I can absolutely see why it was the house special and we highly recommend it and was complimented by the usual tapas dishes which were splendid. The sangria was wonderful and highly recommended, complimented our meal nicely. I can only assume this is a family run business by the way the staff were so attentive and care they showed for their customers. Topped off nicely with a Birthday surprise for my partner at the end! I certainly will frequent this gem of an establishment and I highly recommend it to anyone reading this. You will not be disappointed! To the staff - thank you for a most special experience and we cannot wait for our next visit!

Great food, fab atomosphere, great night

Food is great, owners are patient and lovely. A great family run business with delicious food and great combinations!

Disappointing( this place used to be amazing, now, not so good. I think it’s changed hands, food arrived about 2 minutes after being ordered, it was bland, small portions and very underwhelming. Shame, it’s lost all its old magic, one to avoid im afraid.

My daughter and I visited her last night. I ordered a beer and she had a glass of wine. The waiter brought it to the table and then disaster....... im not sure exactly what happened, but the glass of wine and beer ended up all over me. They were very cold and went all over my top and trousers. I was taken to the ladies and given some wipes. We ordered our dinner, which was very nice but very disappointed that nothing was taken off the bill in some form of compensation. Walked back to our hotel with very wet trousers and top!!!!!!

Sadly for us, we did not enjoy this place. It's such a shame as the reviews were high... Perhaps they were having an off night but the food was very basic and most of it was really overcooked. We had 9 different dishes and could say 1 was good. The food was dry, overcooked and basic. We did say that the paella was so overcooked, that it was not possible for us to eat but they still charged for it!

What a lovely find. Great food, very friendly and welcoming staff, and nice décor. Could have been in Spain if not for the weather.

Was away for work and had an evening meal at this restaurant. Was a quiet weekday, so not many diners. Overall food was ok, had three tapas dishes which was plenty for one person. Price wise for the area was average priced dishes.

Must be good, my wife is Spanish and she enjoyed the food, Octopus was cooked to perfection, the only let down was not enough kids running around screaming for that real authentic Spanish restaurant feel.

This place once was amazing shame really they let the standards slip and put the prices up for smaller portions. It's gone from 5 stars to 1 in my opinion. We won't be coming back.

Everything is fantastic. Lively vibe. Delicious food. Only lost a star as there was only 1 red wine by the glass also no cava or spirits on the drinks menu. A glass of rioja or cava would have made it perfect.

Visited here with my daughter for the first time on Saturday and the food was lovely, and the service was very friendly. The waiter recommended a red Rioja which was so nice, wish I’d got the name of it!! The restaurant is so authentic and cosy, you’d think you was somewhere in Spain. We both loved it and will definitely be going back. 10/10

Really nice traditional place, very good value, good quality, good atmosphere

I strongly recommend this restaurant authentic and fresh. The Black paella is my favourite but all tapas are so great.

It is telling for the mediocre quality of Weybridge/Walton restaurants that this Spanish/Med restaurant was very full on a Friday evening. Our meal was very average - the eggplant and meatballs were nice but everything else was quite poor. The paella was especially disappointing, just some sticky flavourless rice. The drinks and service were fine. The final flaw was the ‘discretionary’ service charge at the end. Can’t recommend.

A totally delightful experience. A hidden gem in Weybridge offering fantastic authentic tapas, especially seafood specialities. Found it by chance while strolling in Weybridge and had a very nice lunch. I'm told the evening atmosphere is especially good. Service was helpful and attentive and the food delicious. Also introduced to a fantastic, non-alcoholic Portuguese beer! Will be going back, for sure!

My family and I booked here, and we have now found an amazing Spanish restaurant in Weybridge! The pil pil prawns were out of this world, so flavorful and perfectly cooked. And the octopus was incredibly fresh and tender. But let me tell you, the paella... it transported me straight back to the sandy beaches of Marbella. The flavors, the aroma, everything was just spot on. The service provided with passion and care was shining throughout the whole experience, I can't wait to go back again!

A hidden gem in weybridge food fresh cooked to order

I haven’t been to this restaurant in a while , because life unfortunately takes over sometimes and you forget about the real gems of places to eat. This restaurant still hasn’t lost it’s charm, atmosphere and quality of service . We had an amazing evening last night . The Food , Wine and Service is still the very best Surrey has to offer . Many thanks to all the staff who work there for a wonderful evening .

Very disappointing experience despite the charming set up. Could've been so much better. Food quality was below average and service was lacking. You could tell ventilation inside was lacking as smell of oil was strong when you walk in.

We decided to stop here for dinner last Friday as we were walking past (no reservation) and ended up having a really fun evening with delicious sangria and good food. The service was honestly exceptional - the team made us feel really welcome and at home from the second we arrived (so much so that I felt inspired to leave this review!). Will definitely go back - really fun atmosphere with lovely people running the show. Thanks

This place has been here for years and its difficult to get a last minute table and Anna the lovely lady who owns and runs the place with her family is amazing! We love it. The food is excellent and we have gradually worked our way through all the dishes on the menu which now makes life really difficult as we like them all and have to deselect rather than select! The wine is great and they have lovely cold draught beer. It is very difficult not to like this place. Probably explains why it's been there for ever ...

Great tapas and friendly staff.

My husband and I visited recently as we had previously enjoyed fabulous evenings with friends and family! We were given a small table for 2 that was right up against the counter where we spent the time we were there swatting flies! We had bairly ordered our food and it was out within a few minutes! We didn’t have time to eat the bread & olives, so had to cancel them! The salad had limp lettuce and the food could have been hotter! In all we had a very disappointing evening and were out of the restaurant within the hour! We won’t be returning in a hurry!

Great decor, it feels like being in tapas restaurant in Spain. Unfortunately the food was a let down. We were a part of 4 and none of us were happy with the food. It was very bland, the only dish I could say was satisfactory was the tortilla de chorizo . The fish dishes were particularly disappointing the monk fish was dry and bland, the prawns in pastry had a very bad fishy taste and the texture was like mash inside the filo and the croquettes de bacalao tasties too fishy awwell. All the food seemed overcooked. The sangra was enjoyable. For the price of the food and drink it was a let down and especially a let down as we choose this place to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Check your bill and what comes out your bank account before you leave… we were charged an additional £20 on our bill and realised when we got home.

2nd visit here and the tapas never disappoints. Service was friendly and food was quickly served. We didn't book but it was a Monday lunchtime 😀

Overpriced extremely greasy food. Service is super average and not very friendly. I would not recommend especially if you are a foodie. The 4.5 star is a mystery but I am guessing less food discerning guests?

Friendly service, nice decor and good menu. However, the food felt neglected. £10 for grilled halloumi which was served with half a teaspoon of tzatziki (that was without doubt Tesco). Unfortunately won’t be returning as there is better out there

Lovely place for special occasions

I go here every Saturday lunchtime ...each week I try different tapas .... Lydia snd Javier ( owners ) make you feel very welcome, the service is excellent, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is relaxed and homely .... I LOVE going to this restaurant. Claire

Really liked this place. Very busy but in a good way. Food, wine and staff were all very good. The mystery to us was why they played cliche music on repeat. There’s a lot of good music to choose from - you don’t need to play la bamba! Please stop

Wonderful service, lovely good, great atmosphere.

Had high hopes coming to this place with its nice decor and friendly staff HOWEVER. When it came to the food it was a massive disappointment. Aside from the food generally lacking taste, some “hot” dishes, that contained seafood and chicken, came out unevenly heated. When I mentioned it to them, I was not offered a replacement, instead was told “that’s because it was prepared before service?!” Like we should expect it to be cold in places?!?! Very weird. The best bit was when we realised we could see right into the kitchen and the chef was literally stood at the microwave heating up dish after dish 😱 we complained twice and they didn’t take anything off the bill. Very sad as we really wanted to love it.

We attended on a Monday as a group of mums for my birthday celebration. It was a great atmosphere in there and the manager & staff were friendly and accommodating to us. She recommended a great and fruity red wine and nothing was too much for her to help us with. We had plenty of delicious dishes which were all served hot- some dishes we even had double of! The poached pear is my favourite and great coffee too! We were there enjoying ourselves so much we didn’t realise the time but the staff did not make us feel like we had to leave. It was a fabulous birthday and mums night out - we shall return again soon!

Very nice food and lovely atmosphere and people. Enjoyed our stay so much and as a group we had 15 dishes, all of which were so good. Also had dessert and coffee which were incredible :) Can only recommend! Will be coming back!

Can't believe I've only just found this place. Awesome little Spanish restaurant with great service and atmosphere and some of the best Spanish food I've had outside of Spain.... In some cases, better than Spain

We discovered this lovely restaurant by accident on a stroll around Weybridge (not locals to weybridge), booked a table - make sure you book in advance as it was full when we arrived. Such a warm welcome and had a perfect window seat. Wow the decor is so cosy and the table seating is intimate but done in a way that you dont feel as though you're eating alongside strangers lol. Ordered from a menu that has a great choice but not overwhelming and what felt like 2 minutes later, bam the tapas dishes were served...omg the food was so yummy, we happily munched away and chatted about nonsense lol. The atmosphere was perfect, all adults thoroughly enjoying their meal, no overly 'loud' people haha!! The service was excellent, helpful, friendly & attentive. Lovely smiley waitresses (thankyou). Coming to the end of our meal, we didnt feel pressured at all to leave which is really nice for nowadays as sometimes its a feeling of quick eat your food and go! We will most definitely be returning, we have to because theres so much else on the menu we want to try lol. The cost was inexpensive too. Great night. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic. Taste of Spain right on your door step. Table of 4 had 4 dished each so pick from, tasty fresh and great value. Good wine. All in all will be going back very soon and would recommend to anyone.

Lovely place♡ I wish I could come here more often!

We had a fantastic time here tonight! If you can’t find parking on the street outside the restaurant then there is a public car park just around the corner (Church Street) which is only a 2 minute walk. The tapas and drinks were fantastic, really authentic and varied selection of hot and cold dishes. Service was good from our lovely waitress Nelia and there was a fun atmosphere which made for a wonderful evening with friends. Particular highlights were the sangria, albondigas, calamari, queso manchego frito, and the gambas pil pil. That said, everything was delicious and we hope to come back again soon as it was also good value for money (10% service charge included). Thanks to all of the team for a wonderful night.

Our first time since new ownership took over and the quality of food and level of service has remained high. Lovely atmosphere and the food was really good.

This restaurant is slightly off the beaten track in Weybridge but it is worth a visit. The tapas portions are massive and the food is excellent. Even the house wine is good and reasonably priced. Recommended dishes: garlic chicken, lamb and chicken skewers, lamb cutlet. Dessert menu has a great choice - cheesecake, tart, panna cotta, rice, chocolate pudding. Good service too.

A cosy, nice restaurant. The menu is not very extensive but everybody, who's into Spanish cuisine, will find something nice for themselves. The food is just lovely! The staff are really friendly and well - mannered. I strongly advise that you pop into this restaurant. It's definitely money and time spent well.

Beautiful restaurant. Great food, lovely sangria and AMAZING staff members! I bought a birthday cake and they very kindly put candles in, played music and rang a bell in celebration for my brothers birthday they went above and beyond! Recommend 2/3 dishes each, bread and oil included and sangria was fab! Will be coming back again for sure!

Four of us went out tontine 6pm.we were rushed to the table.waited 10 minutes for someone to take a drinks order. Then we ordered tapas 3 of us, awful cold and messy. The other person was give his starter then two minutes later bought out his main. We wanted desert but after 15 minutes gave up and asked fir the bill.We been there 5 times before. This will most definitely be our last. Absolutely disgusting waste of £120 we were in and out in 3/4 hour.

We've lived in nearby Sunbury for 30 plus years and never been to this restaurant before. What a lovely treat. Super friendly service from the manageress who has run the restaurant almost as long as we've been locals! Lovely atmosphere and delicious food at a reasonable price. A fabulous Friday evening.

I don't understand all the 1 star reviews.We thought all the tapas dishes were delicious,service wonderful,atmosphere authentic, even our stroppy 12 year old loved the food.We had a lovely evening meal mid-week and it was a wonderful evening.I think the people who scored it 1 star must have been Karens.Every table was full when we went and everyone had a good time.Ignore bad reviews.

Such a shame the food used to be nice but it was horrible today, one tortilla was cold and sloppy chorizo was chewy and tasted frozen and lost its flavour the abondigas sauce was horrible tastes like a mix of heinz tomato soup and water...

Food was nice originally however 3 hours later I suffered from bad vomiting and diarrhoea. My boyfriend also felt nauseous after eating but managed to avoid any severe illness. The meat dishes we had - assuming one of them was responsible - were the pork belly , sardines and black pudding.

Very disappointed, lured in by the authentic decor and reviews but so disappointed. Service quick, maybe too quick, working on the ping of the microwave perhaps? This was evident by the unevenly heated food. The ingredients were cheap and probably prepacked, there really was nothing...
