Probably the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten!!!! Chicken fried rice tasteless, chicken curry and separate curry sauce like water and tasteless. Only thing that's was passable was prawn crackers ! Way over priced! £28 wasted 😡

Always stunning food and great value for the sharing box which I always order. My partner had the chicken in black bean sauce and that was equally as nice. We did miss out on our free prawn crackers this time but it wasn't a big deal as we had more than enough food. The delivery driver is always very polite as well. In an area with many Chinese takeaways to choose from I always choose this one now.

Absoloutely vile. Chips were rock hard, rice tasted funny and curry sauce didn't even turn up. Wouldn't be so bothered if it wasn't so expensive. avoid this place at all costs.

Called this lunchtime and had the offer for 2 burgers for £15.Both of them were lovely-fries were great and also homemade coleslaw.Couldnt finish all mine as the portions are very generous.Wish we had got the name of the chap who served us ( dark hair with a beard) as he was really chatty and welcoming.Definately return.

I was here a few weeks ago for a birthday meal and this morning for breakfast. Steak was lovely. Perfectly cooked. Fantastic blue cheese sauce. Breakfast was really good. A little more expensive but worth it for a special treat. Liked the two types of sausage. Coffee was a bit of a let down. Not the worst but would probably order tea next time. Great service though.

We arrived and were sat, menus very strange now, I think it’s change it’s name, and possibly ownership...? Our food arrived and we were not happy with it, some of it was cold and there should be no reason why they cannot get hot food out of the kitchen, it wasn’t busy, there was only 2 other tables.... from walking in to leaving took almost 2 hrs for a table of 2Just strange

The burger was Gerry tasty as it wasn't overcooked and the ribs were good plus a decent portion. The service is a bit slow with one person looking after the restaurant and the bar We waited 15 mins to pay and in the end went to the bar to pay on the way out

AMAZING By far the best Chinese takeaway in West Yorkshire excellent friendly staff. Wonderful piping hot correct food delivered. The best ginger and spring onion spare ribs I have ever tasted in my life. Myself and my neighbours will be making this our regular takeaway from now on. The special curry is a firm favourite with all of us. Chicken curry was lovely as was the special chop suey. Can’t wait for our next visit especially at the prices they charge fantastic. If you haven’t been then you are missing out.

After trying to find this place for 30 mins, i found out by telephoning them that it is in fact a pub called the Lion!!!! Although the food was good when we did get in, i found the starters well over priced.we had Pate, mixed olives £10 and chicken burger at a reasonable £16 for two. The beer Estella was flat and we didn't drink it. The menu that you read online doesn't actually bear any resemblance to the one at the pub,ie tapas. Is it me or is this quite strange?

I visited here with my boyfriend yesterday evening and have to say we will definitely be returning. The restaurant had been recommended so we decided to try it out and we were not disappointed. We went for the three starters for £15 ; king prawns, pork belly and bread and olives, all of which were beautifully presented and tasted amazing!Due to an issue in the kitchen we were told there was going to be a delay with our mains - we were completely fine with this as we hadn’t even noticed the delay due to both enjoying each other’s company and the surrouding atmosphere. A few more minutes passed and the gentleman who served us, offered us drinks on the house to apologise for the wait, which we both thought was extremely thoughtful. On top of this we were told that the owner of the restaurant would like to pay for our meal due to the fact we’d had to wait- something we thought was far too generous and couldn’t accept. Considering the quality of the previous starters and the drinks of which we had received alongside the quality service, we felt it would be unfair to let our entire meal be paid for, as both the owners and employees deserved the recognition. Once the mains arrived, again both the presentation and quality of the food was well worth the wait, and both myself and my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed our chosen dishes. Once we received our bill, we noticed that a substantial discount had been added, of which we were shocked but extremely appreciative of. I’m not usually one to write reviews but the entire night from start to finish was amazing and I felt I had to give credit where credit is due. Overall, I just want to say that both my boyfriend and I were extremely struck by the kindness of the staff and of the owner, whom clearly pride themselves on the quaility of food and service, of which did not go unnoticed. Thanks for an amazing evening!

ordered a burger and added bacon (love bacon) accompanied by some fries. The burger was probably the best I've had (and I've had a few). The burger perfectly cooked, medium done, with toppings so fresh and punchy, not too much sauce but enough to add that extra level of flavor, not drown out every other flavor. thank you guys.

Good location , easy to find , nice contemporary feel to the restaurant.Great tapas dishes , brimming with flavour and taste. All the dishes come out well presented, great to watch the chefs giving each dish attention.Meat or fish or vegetable all are good .Had a great white chocolate fondant !Good choice of drinks & wines at pretty fair prices .Oh and the service has good also.Looking forward to a re visit.

Whilst on weekend break, my wife and I popped in for a drink and ended up staying for the whole evening!! This was due to the great ambience of the restaurant, amazing food and the superb staff both in the kitchen and front of house. The chef really has put some real effort into a innovative and tasty menu and we will definitely be coming back, even though we live 300 miles away.

A relaxed meal with friends and service that was really spot-on! The staff couldn't do enough for us and the menu was varied and delicious. Would definitely come again for more of the same, please!

We contacted HITO at the very last minute for them to accommodate a hen party for about 20 people on a Saturday night as we had been double booked by The Fox!!! They were more then happy to help us pull the party together with just 30 minutes to spare, they couldn’t of been more helpful. The waitress also brought over 3 bottles of Prosecco complimentary!!! We asked the chef fora mixture of tapas to be brought over in buffet style. Everything was perfect with just the right amount of food. All the ladies were so pleased with the food and we were all so glad we had held our party there. Thank you again from everyone. We couldn’t of done it without you. Xx

Had a fantastic meal here on our way back from a weekend away! Fire was roaring, cosy, beautiful food and great service! Highly recommend.

We came here a couple of weeks ago for my husbands birthday. We ordered tapas off the menu, but we had to ask someone to take our order as nibody attended to us. We ordered 5 dishes, 35 minutes later our first dish arrived. It was over cooked and dry, (chicken wings) the fish dish was so salty and again over cooked. I can’t say there was one dish that we enjoyed. The restaurant was quiet so I cannot understand the lack of attention we received, at no point did anyone come over to check everything was ok. I did let the waiter know that the food was disappointing and he replied I will let the chef know. Overall customer service and food disappointing, we have been here many times when it was the milestone and enjoyed the food.

Called in just for a drink but after a look at the menu decided to dine. WOW tapas was fantastic, worked our way through most of the tapas menu all a delightful experience. Great staff too add to experience, Will return for sure

Called in one lunchtime for a bit of tapas and a catch up with a friend. Service very friendly with a can do attitude . Tapas menu quite compact but covered everything . The food was excellent , every dish a winner from the padron peppers to the crunchy melted cheese. We had about 8 dishes so a good selection . Highly recommend a visit if your in the locality and looking for tapas . Dishes reasonably price around the 3 to 4 pounds mark

Really great evening. Restaurant is just watching want for a relaxing meal out. Really rustic surrounding. The tapas dishes were excellent although I feel could of been a few more choices. The food and staff were a real credit to Hito. Will definitely visit again.

We had a great time here. The food was excellent and the service was great. There was a singer on when we where dining so the atmosphere also was fabulous. Will definitely recommend and we will be back very soon

After reading other Trip Adviser reviews we decided to try somewhere new for an evening out with our daughter. First impressions were excellent. Nice outside area (albeit on the main road) and really nice decor and lighting inside. Clearly this had been well thought through. We ordered drinks but were disappointed that there was no gluten free beer available despite one being on the menu so my husband ordered a cider which he can always rely on! We ordered 2 nibble plates and 8 tapas dishes between 3 of us. Slightly too much but we did have a good selection! Couldn't fault the food though it might have been better if the two potato dishes had been served earlier and not together at the end of our dishes. We waited a while before selecting desserts from a good choice. The Eton Mess and white chocolate parfait were both amazing! My husband ordered the only malt whisky on the menu to round off his meal but they only had half a measure so he chose a bourbon instead. Alarm bells rang when it was served in a brandy glass. When he pointed out it was a brandy they agreed and replaced it with the Wild Turkey he had ordered.

We called at this restaurant for a quick lunch. Delicious tapas, friendly service and good wine at a reasonable price. So good we booked to come back in the evening as a group. Well worth a try.

Visited Hito restaurant for a friend's birthday and we weren't disappointed. There were so many choices, including plenty of vegetarian tapas. We were recommended to choose three/four dishes each and the portion sizes were generous. The food tasted amazing, I had tuna carpaccio, patatas bravas, tenderstem broccoli and tomato bread, which were all delicious and the desserts were so yummy, although I only tasted my friend's I was so full. It had a traditional spanish theme and was situated in a semi rural area with lovely views. There was an open bar area, serving cocktails, gin, lager etc and they had a talented live singer playing during our meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the prices were reasonable. It was altogether a wonderful evening. Will definitely go again.

Really, REALLY good! We enjoyed our tasty and inventive tapas at Hitos. Everyone in our party of four are foodies and we all loved every dish. Well worth a visit and if you go you will almost certainly be back. High quality, delicious food at a very reasonable price! Thanks for a great evening.

It was a lovely afternoon and the sun was beating down. We sat outside - under the umbrella it was so sunny. The atmosphere was calm, pleasant and friendly.

Lovely atmosphere, great decor and the food was beautiful. We shared tapas dishes between 2 and left feeling nicely full. We will definitely be back.

Six of us went on Saturday night to celebrate our daughter's birthday.

Service was ok. Nice menu with a mix of dishes. Mini chicken delicious but it really was small with not much meat on it. The peppers and potatoes were delicious but a small portion. Roast dinner was lovely meat but again small portions - not enoguh potatoes or veg.

Wasn't planning to call here, but stopped for drinks while out walking and was glad we did.

We visited on Father’s Day as we felt that the variety on the menu was great for our group. The young waiter tried really hard when taking our order, unfortunately we had a few questions but he did go and find answers for us which was nice of him.

Had dinner with my parents (local to restaurant) on a Saturday evening. The menu really grabbed my attention - no dish was a disappointment. I am not normally a pork eater but the pork was just possibly amongst the best I’ve ever eaten. The churros were also to die for:

Went mid afternoon last Saturday for a very late lunch/early tea but the food produced was excellent and very reasonably priced. The chorizo and mussel dishes were particularly good. Staff were welcoming and the atmosphere very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

So, looks nice and had a good welcome but it failed to deliver for me. The food was okay but it lack that zing to make it fantastic, it just felt a bit average and could have maybe pushed the boat a bit further in terms of taste and presentation.

First visit here and hadn't booked to eat but the place looks very inviting inside and I would like to return for food at some point in the future as the menu looked very inviting.

We ate here last year and our experience was much better than this one. Overall the restaurant is not expensive but many of the (better) dishes such as gambas and belly pork with cauliflower purée are charged at a £3 supplement. Portions of these dishes are not large.

The dishes on the menu, were interesting and tasty, with a good selection for meat eaters or vegetarians. The cod was particularly good as were the chicken wings. We had 3 dishes each, which was plenty as the tortilla is particularly filling. The wine is very reasonably priced, house wine is £13.95 a bottle. The staff were friendly and efficient and the live musician was excellent. Really good value, extremely tasty food and wine. Highly recommend.

A lovely meal and really good value with the £15 tapas. Upgraded a couple of the dishes and the lamb and cod were delicious. Catered well for pregnant women too.

Our experience didn't get off to a great start when we found out that we had been booked in for a table for 3 instead of a table for 5. I accepted that these things happen and they soon sorted us a table. So far so good. The food was ok but nothing special in my opinion. Not as good as when it was The Milestone and not as good as other local tapas places I've visited. What made things worse was that the food came out over such a long period with big waits between each serving. I know this is to be expected with tapas to an extent, but I am talking really long waits. Who wants to eat a bowl of lentils on their own or wait over 20 minutes for something else to come out - by which time they have gone cold. Ordering drinks was also hard work. I had to ask three times to be served a pint of beer for example, and twice for some water. When the water arrived it was one glass of water rather than a jug and two glasses as we had asked for, but by that point I was tired of asking for things so said nothing. We won't be going back in a hurry. Shame as we always loved The Milestone.

Difficult to fault this place on our fourth visit. Tapas with a bit of a twist - some traditional Coast del Sol stylee, others a bit fancier, some a lot fancier. Well cooked, efficient service and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

Five of us ate here on Sunday April 8, it was quiet when we arrived, I have heard mixed reviews of the quality of food but ours was superb, perhaps because we were the only people they were cooking for. Would go again.

As Tapas should be, not rushed, dishes out as ready, friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent and well run kitchen. Its a gem for Rishworth, well worth a visit.

Brilliant restaurant in the heart of Ripponden serving a fab selection of tapas dishes. The service is friendly and the quality of the dishes superb.

From start to finish we enjoyed our meal tonight the restaurant is lovely staff very welcoming and the food was amazing!! We are fortunate to live in the village and be able to walk to Hito tapas. Beautiful food, the pork fillet with rhubarb and morcilla was delicious. The chicken and butternut squash with pancetta was absolutely gorgeous. Then we ordered the baked Alaska which was just amazing - blood orange ice cream with a delicious sponge and very creamy Italian meringue. We love it here. Top service and a friendly welcome with a great gin selection too (Parma violet, strawberry, rose and many others). Visit here, you won’t be disappointed.

We can happily recommend this restaurant and would say it has become a bit of a favourite of ours. It is a Tapas restaurant and the food is delicious. The place itself is modern and yet welcoming and the staff are knowledgeable about their food and helpful. We don't find it expensive although neither of us drink wine so can't comment on the price of that. Cocktails are available (porn-star Martini my favourite) - not cheap but worth it. All in all a great little restaurant with good food and friendly staff. We'll be visiting again soon!

I booked to go here with my husband on a "date night" as it had been opened a while, the menu looked interesting and there was live music. The ambience of the place was cosy, we were greeted warmly by the bar staff, ordered from a good selection of gins and perused the menu. It all sounded lovely. We went to our table and ordered our food and some wine (the house Rose which was a good accompaniment to the food). However, I felt the food was a bit lacking in flavour. The listings on the menu did not accurately reflect what you actually got. For example, "Cured Squid - Black onion, crispy chicken leg" was actually chargrilled squid on a black onion sauce and a chicken croquetta. And disappointingly, although the food was very nicely cooked and presented, I felt that it was a all bit bland. For dessert, I ordered "Chocolate Mousse

A quiet, wintry Saturday lunchtime. Wasn’t sure what to expect but was surprised and pleased with the excellent food and efficient service. Couldn’t fault either. My only criticism was that the tapas menu is sold as 3 courses for £15, but for nearly every meat, fish & specials dish there was a supplement ranging from £2-£4, so the final bill ends up quite a bit more than you were initial expecting. However, for the quality of the food it was worth the money.

I was in dubious about visiting after hearing lots of mixed reviews through word of mouth. But I can honestly say I was so impressed. The choice of 3 for £15 is amazing and such good value for money. In total I only spent around £19 on food, 3 for £15 and then a side... of croquettes! Which were big enough to be one of my tapas dishes.

We went on a Sunday evening and it was relatively quiet. You can park on the road in front of the restaurant and there is also a little car park close by.

Poor service. Staff had to be called over for every request. When we had finished our main courses, we tried to order pudding, but at 9.30 the kitchen was closed. Apparently we should have checked the internet?!? Not planning a return visit. Oh and if you are planning to go be warned it might be cold, we wore our coats and scarves.

Ok so let's start with the good stuff. The place looks lovely, the waitress was very friendly, and the food we ate was all good, some of it exceptional. However. The portions were small, and the cost was high. Three plates for £15 seemed like a good deal but not so much when what you get as a dish is a small bowl of patatas bravas, too small for 4 people to share so you then have to double up. The bread was really good, but at £4 a portion, it worked out at £1 a slice. The cheeseplate was very small and when I asked for bread to go with the cheese, that showed up as another £4 on the bill. Can't fault the tapas, as all the dishes were good or very good, but the portion sizes are too small - we had to double up plates to feed a party of 4 so it meant that lunch with a drink each was over £90 for 4. It's a shame because they have so much right, and I would go back, but it makes it a special treat rather than regular event

After a visit to Hito on a Sunday gee months ago (when there was a more limited menu) we went on a midweek night last week and were very impressed.

Can you imagine our surprise to find a genuine TAPAS bar in Ripponden,Yorkshire in the snow! Gambas, Paella, Rioja and a warm friendly team. O yes and the deserts are genuine with some familiar ones and some original artistry thrown in. Go and try and you will feel like you are in Spain!!!

I have been to Hito before but my husband & our children hadn't been & I couldn't wait to take them. We had the 3 dishes for £15 deal, other dishes from the menu & a lovely bottle of white Rioja.

Some friends asked us to go with them to Hito..... its tapas. I hate tapas. That awkward feeling staring at the last prawn. Well this prawn was big enough to cut into 4 I can honestly say though that this was the best tapas I've ever had. The food was delicious and cooked really well with excellent presentation the staff were excellent, very knowledgable and friendly. The restaurant was busy and buzzing with a lovely atmosphere - not bad for a snowy damp night in February. We will certainly be going back

The food was lovely, the service really good, atmosphere great. No complaints only slight annoyance was having to order in multiples of 3. We would’ve liked probably just 1 more dish but had to order in multiples of 3 & that would’ve been a waste.

Fabulous food, Fabulous atmosphere and fab service. The Decor has been completed to a high standard. The only thing I would add is they need a bigger selection of wines. Amerone being one of them. Would highly recommend.
