Discovered this gem of a chippy after finally giving up on The Palace after years of going there. They just don't know how to do a decent fish supper and don't seem to care either. Gino's, on the other hand, is fabulous. I have never eaten such light, crispy battered on such thick, succulent haddock. The fact that they throw in tartare sauce and lemon just makes it extra special and the owner is a nice chap too. Please keep up the standard and I will never go anywhere else. Congratulations!!

We were recommended to this restaurant by our hotel, we asked for a good seafood restaurant and came here. The owner's Son seated us, and could not have been more helpful. He even arranged to customize an app for us. The food and service was superb, we will definitely return on our next visit.

Good food and atmosphere but pricey

Travelled 160 mile round trip to try deep fried salmon that I had read about. Saw white pudding on the menu and got that as well. With chips. 2 friends and my spouse as well really enjoyed the food. The owner was very friendly and jovial but not over the top. Had the tartar sauce as well. A lovely wee place with great food and service.

Great food, great prices and large portions. Very quick efficient service too. Can't recommend enough.

Fantastic Experience at Lomond Fish Bar I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the wonderful experience my family and I had at your establishment recently. We had the pleasure of visiting Lomond Fish Bar after coming from Glasgow for my son's football match in the area, and I must say, we were not disappointed. Upon arrival, we were greeted by your really polite and attentive staff, who made us feel welcome right from the start. We ordered the Battered Smoked Sausage Supper, and I can honestly say, it was absolutely banging! The batter was perfectly crispy, and the sausage itself was delicious. My son and daughter shared a Sausage Supper, and they devoured every last bite, which is a rare occurrence as they usually leave leftovers. The overall dining experience was top-notch, and we left feeling satisfied and happy. I wanted to commend your team for their excellent service and the quality of the food. It's not often that we come across such a gem, and I can confidently say that we will definitely be visiting your establishment again in the future. Additionally, I will be sure to pass on the word to friends and family about the fantastic meal we had at Lomond Fish Bar. Not great Order a shashlik and the lamb was burnt and tasted nasty The fish n chips were dripping in oil The garlic mushrooms were greasy and you barely taste the garlic Won’t be trying there again

2nd visit and it was amazing. We had starters, 2 mains an 2 sides and were VERY full. Food was simply out of this world. So tasty and fresh ingredients. Staff great and well definitely be back on our next visit. If you go, book, it is supe busy, which says a lot.

We went in for a drink only and bumped into a friend. We were then joined by another friend and were having drinks. About 2245hrs we were very abruptly told to drink up or they would take our drinks from us, as last orders had been called earlier. we had been provided a round about 2230hrs and were the only people left. Their stated opening hours say closing at 2300hrs. Perhaps a little better communication from the 'apparently senior staff member' may have prevented our leaving feeling so disgruntled and demonstrated they understand the meaning of hospitality. The result was one of our group stating they would not return. Communication is everything
