Another great visit, you have to try this place food amazing and the staff are so helpful friendly and entertaining. One of the reasons we keep going back as the kids love the staff.

What a fantastic little place for food, friendlies and service. Came here on a day trip and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We had a puppy with us and they made sure we had water and anything else for the dog. Food was good and reasonably priced. Think the whole place spoke to us and the only thing is to tip in cash. Due to the recent changes in tips laws it's harder for them to take tips on cards and give to staff, tax and card machine charges so please put a few ££ coins in your pocket before you go. Lovely place.

We truly fell in love with this place!! My friends and I were driving along the coastline of Scotland and decided to stop for dinner in Fraserburg. Saw great reviews for the Captain’s Table and decided to try it. Boy are we so glad we did!! You feel completely welcome like you’re family walking in the door…the reason for that is because it is a family that owns it and works there together. They truly make you feel like you’re family too! They were all very kind, welcoming, and before we knew it, we were all talking for awhile and the place was filled with so much laughter! The food was also INCREDIBLE! We had the lobster gnocchi and it was so fresh and delicious. To top it off, we each ordered our own cookie dough dessert and it melts in your mouth! All of us felt like it was heaven on earth. We all really can’t wait to visit Scotland again and get to eat at this hidden gem of a restaurant again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great place. Very warm welcome by the owner. Clearly very customer experience focussed and feels like a great vibe in there. Beautiful space, immaculately presented. Specials board for daily catch. This is a great place if you want to enjoy freshly prepared beautiful plates of seafood, exquisitely cooked and presented. We pushed the boat out and had 3 courses, which we never ever do, also enjoyed a nice glass of chilled Pinot Grigio.Thanks for a great experience!! Would highly recommend.

On our journey along the Coastal Trail from Aberdeen to Macduff we stopped for lunch in Fraserburgh. The Captain's Table came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. Very friendly and courteous service and excellent fish dishes make the restaurant a safe tip! My lobster on gnocchi but also the Haddock dishes were very good!

This place looks nothing from outside but i have to say it was well worth the visit, but book as it gets busyand a walk in probably out of the question.Lovely food, recommended the prawn cocktail it was delicious, and the fishcakes with the cheese sauce were outstanding. Staff were very friendly, well worth it.

Excellent quality of food -I took scallops starter and rock turbot main - wife had langoustine starter and fish cake main - quality was such as I would find in restaurants in Aberdeen Edinburgh and elsewhere- Service also was excellent Highly recommended

My partner and I always struggle to find a good fish restaurant even though we have the best fish on our coast. We found the Captains table at Fraserburgh on Google but struggled to get a table on that particular Sunday as they were so busy. We booked for a different Sunday and were very impressed with the lovely fish menu. The restaurant is family run and they are very friendly and welcoming. Staff are very attentive. I had a langoustine cocktail which had a lovely Marie Rose sauce and was very tasty. My partner had Scallops in a chilli butter which he is still raving about. I took the haddock and chips and my partner chose the Rock Turbot in a white wine sauce which was on the side. We decided to share as we were indecisive what to choose unfortunately he found the rock turbot so delicious he didn’t want to share!! We are not ones for dessert but saw the homemade cheesecake and had to try which we did share and it was so good. If you don’t wish to eat fish there are other alternatives. We would highly recommend this great place.

We came in today, hungry and quite tired after a whole day of sightseeing. The staff welcomed us most kindly, everyone was so sweet and welcoming, from the wait staff to the owner! The food was absolutely amazing. We had a mix of specials and classics and honestly everything was delicious. The smoked haddock soup was creamy and yummy, the stuffed mushrooms were pleasant texture melange. This was the crispiest batter on a haddock I had, and I only wished I could have it again. Sadly, the portions were so big we just couldn't fit a dessert and not fall into a food comma. 10 out of 10, wonderful experience!

Nice little place with a fantastic welcome. The owners welcomed us as friends and we had 3 dogs. They enjoyed their presence with plenty of cuddles. Refined and well-plated food. Everything really good including the superlative cheesecake. Furthermore, the very kind owner advised us where to sleep with the camper. I highly recommend it! Go there you will be pleasantly surprised!

Very good small restaurant. Highly recommended. The surprising salad combination of fruit and vegetables with a light vinaigrette, plus lightly smoked warm salmon. Heavenly! There is even a children's menu with food of the same quality as on the normal menu. The restaurant is very clean and the service is extremely friendly.

The worst burger I've eaten in my life, burnt and odorless. If I had to give a rating I would give it a zero.

Wife and I ate here for lunch on Friday 12th July. We ordered two of their daily special's, lobster and my personal favourite halibut. Our lobster dish was fantastic full of flavour and well prepared. The halibut was a tail end, it was dry, tough and lacked any flavour. It was clearly overcooked having lost its natural moisture, which resulted in it being chewy and dry. We alerted the waitress (Sam, she was great), she was apologetic and went to inform the chef. On returning from the kitchen it was evident that they had no intention of fixing the problem by replacing the overcooked fish. They admitted there being an issue with the fish by offering us free tea or coffee which we declined. If they had offered us a replacement piece of Halibut we would have been delighted. To make things worse, the owner/manger appeared to be sat on the table next to us, she didn't engage with the situation at all. Terrible customer service and fully worthy of the 1 star on this occasion. Thanks for the reply. However, please do not make out that I ate most of the meal before complaining. When I made the complaint about the fish, I continued to eat the chips and sauce, both of which were good. I simply couldn't eat the fish and left the vast majority of it as seen in the attached picture. Once I made the complaint I did not eat anymore of the fish. Very simply you should have replaced the fish. End of.

From the moment we went in there was a friendly atmosphere from both staff and fellow diners. The choice of food especially seafood was first class and reasonable priced. The langoustine was superb and the memory of which will stay with us for a while. Whilst they didn’t have non alcoholic spirits they did make a very good nonalcoholic cocktail for my driver (wife). Both attention to detail and hygiene first class. We are on holiday up here and cannot recommend this place, food and staff highly enough.

The food was absolutely amazing, carefully crafted, and incredibly tasty! We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and the soup of the day, which was carrot soup – I could have had liters of it, it was so good! However, what truly elevated our experience was the sympathy and charisma of the entire staff. Their warmth and attentiveness made the place truly special.

Arrived in Fraserburgh and were looking for a pub or restaurant. After a recommendation, we went straight to The Captain’s Table. A very nice and well-kept restaurant with a good selection of local food and drinks. What can I say, the food is simply superbly prepared and very, very tasty. The toilets are super clean and very well maintained. Then the staff – simply brilliant. Very relaxed and fun conversation. It tasted great and we had a lot of fun. It's just fun. A gem in Fraserburgh. Thank you for the great evening. A TOP recommendation. Price / offer: Very good.

Excellent restaurant..no connection to the restaurant of the same name in Findhorn. Service was prompt staff friendly, some a wee bit crazy...you'll know who when you visit. Very clean. Good, if limited, menu. Wheelchair accessible. Dog friendly. Free parking at the Leisure centre close by.

You can’t miss this place! This restaurant has delicious food, amazing service, the waitress, chef, the owners are wonderful and lovely persons, they were beyond attentive and warm. I went there to have a meal before joining a vessel and they were super kind and friendly with me, if I board a vessel again in Fraserburgh. I’ll make sure to go and try another of their delicious dishes, highly recommend! Thanks for all your kindness 🫶🏼! I wish for more persons like you:)

Unfortunately I can't give more then 5 stars. But 5 stars are definetly not enough for this restaurant! The staff is absolutly welcoming and friendly, but not because they have to. But because they are geniunly like that! And the food is just outstanding! Whoever visits Fraserburg MUST see the "Captain's Table"!

Very tasty food, great dessert. Totally friendly staff, ambience and cleanliness top. Rarely have I seen such a beautiful and clean toilet. If I'm in the area again, I know where to go.

This is the most amazing restaurant I have ever been to. It is a family run restaurant with amazing food. We stayed and talked for hours. I had fish and my wife had a steak. No one ever gets my wife's steak right, but her steak came out perfect the first time. Everything was cooked to perfection. Everyone that comes in is treated like you are so special. We will be back as it feels we made friends there that day. And, hopefully, they will visit us in Portugal. This is a place that you must visit if ever in the area. You won't regret it.😊

Our first visit to The Captain's Table as we were staying in Fraserburgh on holiday, we rang and prebooked our table, glad we did as it is a really popular restaurant. Check out the specials as they vary depending on 'catch of the day' so you truly cannot get any fresher. Fabulous family atmosphere, relaxed and nothing was too much for our server,excellent service, checked with us if everything was ok or if we needed anything but didn't hover so you're able to enjoy your meal. Our scallops, haddock and steak were cooked to perfection, a selection of sauces for your steak, I recommend the Drambui sauce it was delicious, we didn't have a dessert as we'd had a starter so could not manage anything else. The desserts we saw others having looked amazing, again check the specials as these can vary too. I'd happily book another meal here without hesitation and would say to all...call ahead and prebook or you may miss out, a true gem, well worth a visit.

Took my family for an evening meal and had a superb experience. Very friendly waiter service, a very talented chef and terrific food to boot. The surf and turf was tasty, brilliant batter on the onion rings, lovely crisp chips and a tasty steak all cooked to perfection. The desert, ab aero mint cheesecake was quirky but worked beautifully and had a nice dollop of vanilla icecream. The best restaurant I've been to in 2023, if not in Scotland and will surely visit again.

If there were ten 🌟 I would award all of them. Absolutely wonderful, fun, service. Our two wee dogs loved the pampering and the food was absolutely delicious. We are hoping to book again in two days before we head south. We have travelled all of this wonderful country of Scotland over the years and the quality of food has never ceased to amaze me. The Captain's Table is right up there! Wonderful!

Great atmosphere , the staff are bubbly people - the waiter is great at advising on places to see if you're here for a getaway for sightseeing and places of rich history. Food was of high quality , fresh and delicious. The seating area is laid out perfectly, not cluttered with perfect bits of art on the wall.

I had a recommendation for this place and I wish I had not listened to it. My starter was bland,cold and wet. My main was over cooked,my beef was grey, my veg was a pile of mush, the dessert was ok. Do yourself a favour and just don't go ☹️

I went yesterday to have lunch with my husband and we were super surprised by the friendliness and the amazing food. We ordered soup for starters which were to die for and the haddock for mains. We loved it!!! Very happy we have discovered such an amazing place in Fraserburgh. If you want to experience a warm atmosphere and amazing food don't hesitate to visit The Capitan's table. The food was excellent, especially the fish and the soup. Recommend trying the specials. We tried the specials for the started and ordered 2 maine for 4 persons, because the portions are pretty filling.

The best Cullen skink and smoked haddock & poached egg. Lovely friendly staff. Would highly recommend visiting and we shall definitely return. They accommodated us for a late lunch after visiting Fraserburgh lighthouse.
