The best restaurants serving Seafood food in Wester Ross, Strathpeffer and Lochalsh Highland Highlands and Islands

Very cosy place with soooo tasty food, we had haddock wrap,smoked trout salad and soup, everything was delicious for very reasonable price,one day will definitely return,highly recommend.

My first visit was so good, I have already been back a 2nd time. Great to see an imaginative and varied menu and not the usual identikit Skye tourist offering. Everything I ate was excellent, and I felt it was made with love and care, with good food being the priority and not profit. Their prices were very reasonable considering the quality. I will be back. It’s small, so you must book.

We stopped here for lunch in March. They had only been open for a day this season, but offered almost a full menu. We had the smoked mackerel chowder, which was perfect for lunch, and my sister & her partner shared the small mixed platter. The server had said the small platter might not be enough for 2 people, but it definitely was. The interior is clean and nicely decorated.

We scoured reviews to find a safe bet for something to take back to our accommodation and Deli-Ca-Sea seemed to be a preferred choice. Staff were really lovely and welcoming. We ordered two large haddock suppers but unfortunately the young woman serving us said they only had mediums left. We went with this option but as we were paying the guy frying shouted through that he had two large left. A quick re-calculation later and we paid for the upgrade. As they were being prepared we were advised that one of the fish was big but the other was a whale! Back at the accommodation we got tucked into an amazing meal. The fish was fresh and flaky and had a flavour that balanced perfectly with the light crispy batter. I managed to wrangle the whale and it was huge. I’m rarely beaten by a plate of food but ground to a halt on this leviathan about two thirds of the way through. Often with a supper the chips seem to be an afterthought but on this occasion they were equal partners in a fast marriage made in heaven. If we’re ever back in Ullapool we’ll make sure we return here. 5/5.

While it does not look like much from outside, this is well worth a visit. All the fish is as fresh as you would expect and everything is delicious. They have some tables outside but is ideally situated to take it to the sea wall and have lunch overlooking the sound and the Skye Bridge. The langoustine salad was especially good and rather generous as to the portion of langoustine.

Wir waren, ohne Reservation, unter der Woche zum Essen da. Es war das einzige Restaurant, welches geöffnet hatte. Beim Betreten haben wir gefragt, ob noch ein Tisch frei sei und die Servicefachfrau antwortete, dass noch ein Tisch frei sei, nachdem sie die Reservationen geprüft hatte. Wir setzten uns und langsam füllte sich das Restaurant. Das Essen war gut, ausgefallen, aber eher gehoben. Als die Servicefachfrau die Teller vom Hauptgang abräumte, fragte sie uns, ob wir noch etwas möchten. Wir antworteten, dass wir eine Pause machen würden, aber dann noch Kaffee und Dessert nehmen würden. Sie meinte dann, dass sie den Tisch in 10 min. brauchen würde und wir nun gehen müssten. Dies war sehr irritierend und wir fragten uns: 1. warum sie dies nicht von Anfang an erwähnt hatte und 2. warum sie uns beim Abräumen der Teller noch gefragt hatte, ob wir noch etwas wünschen. Als wir ihr dies sagten, reagierte sie etwas überfordert und ignorierte unsere Rückmeldung, obwohl wir es freundliche sagten. Wir verliessen das Lokal mit einem unangenehmen Gefühl.

Disappointing. Booked well in advance. However on arrival we were told that the salmon was finished and then just before our order was taken we were told there was no scallops. The waitress apologised but our table was very disappointed by the limited menu. Langoustines were lukewarm and again disappointing. Overall mmm, no sure I would recommend.

Considering where this fish and chip shop is located the fish was disappointing. Rather overcooked. Chips were tasty but expected more for the price.

We had one night in Ullapool so took the guest house recommendation on booking a table at The Royal Hotel. Under 30minutes before we received an email saying cancelled with no reason and they didn't answer the phone! We went in search of a restaurant and after a short wait Seaforth Inn sorted a table. The baited haddock was spotbon, chips great as was the salmon. Deserts rounded off a lovely meal with great service.

Nice restaurant. The staff is friendly and the food we got was good. However, the first thing the server did when we sat down was list off everything on the menu that they didn't have; which was a substantial amount and included every fish dish.

Had lunch twice at Ceilidh Place last week. Really tasty food, excellent service, friendly and relaxing atmosphere. The four of us were very happy each time with our choice of dishes - well cooked, good quality and flavoursome. Thank you.
