Average meal - venison burger slightly overdone. Nice chips. Late evening meal so most people leaving and staff clearing up. ‘Optional’ Service charge added to bill. A bit pricy for what it is. My pint of lager was a little over £7 ! As a regular visitor to Ullapool I’ll probably not return.

Great restaurant - lovely staff, clean and comfortable with excellent food. We had langoustines followed by burgers and both were superb. Reasonable prices for a quality meal. Good selection of local beers too.

We had a great evening. Two of us split a started of scallops which were really tasty. I had an amazing ribeye steak cooked to perfection. Others had the fish pie, declared the best she had tasted, another some mussels done to perfection. My wife ha£ a great vegetarian dish. The desserts were a treat as well. A nice wine list an£ great service as well. It worked out at £55 per head which we thought was great value. Certainly worth another visit

Having previously been to Ullapool and having sampled the fish suppers from both chippies rating them the best fish and chips ever we were really looking forward to another great portion of fish and chips and decided to use The Seaforth this time for our dinner as it was quite chilly outside and they allowed us to take our dog inside. We noticed it was £19.00 for fish and chips but my partner has always raved about the portion sizes and the quality of the fish so we were not too concerned. When our tea arrived the fish was pretty small, not very good and chips looked like they were the dregs from the last fry, small portion of peas and tarter sauce accompanied our fish and chips. We paid over £70 for one starter, 2 fish teas and 2 beers. Way over priced. I have no problem paying for something that is worth it but this was most definitely not! I try never to leave a negative review and perhaps we were just really disappointed in the meal after looking forward to it so much. I don't know if the Seaforth has been taken over with new owners since the last time we were in Ullapool but I really don't think we will be going back. On the plus side the service was good and the staff helpful and friendly enough. Just overpriced not very good food served..

Good food and service but too expensive in particular fish and seafood. Experience with online reservation is strange, it says that the restaurant is fully booked and when you show up there is limited occupancy.

We shared a scallop entree. Three excellent meals; a chicken and a venison burger and the salmon main. Food was cooked to perfection. Fast and friendly service.

Lovely welcome into the restaurant. It was busy but there was plenty staff to keep things running smoothly. Decor a wee bit tired. Paper peeling off the ceiling. The food was first class and not over priced. There were a few children running around while we were there. The staff did attempt to keep them away from the tables they had just cleaned, but I just wish when people take their children out to eat in such a lovely restaurant, they would keep them in check.

Glad we booked as was very busy. Had been given a table by the draughty door but the friendly staff were able to move us without any bother. Service was friendly with lots of staff buzzing about. Menu is not vast but has something for everyone, seafood based. Price wise it seemed to be in line with other places when we compared notes. Food itself was lovely, the fish and chips was a huge portion and hot and tasty! The haddock mornay was super cheesy but could still taste the haddock, no room for pudding! A nice busy place with good quality food.

Tourist trap just DONT , prices way to high for mediocre food,also pressured into paying 10% tip (its added to your bill automatically) there not after return trade it’s a day tripper never to return RIP OFF

Chip shop. Food cooked to order. Brilliant fish and great chips. Seats outside. Definitely worth a go if n Ullapool or waiting on the boat.

This establishment provided very nice hospitality to all the Viking Venus cruise passengers by offering free coffee to anyone who stopped in. The coffee was delicious and the service was very pleasant. We felt extremely welcomed by the gesture. The decor seemed appropriately "Scottish Pub" and the facilities were generally in good condition. Obviously can't comment on the quality of any food items. The staff was very friendly and helpful and so service would have to be rated excellent.

Dropped in for quick lunch. Excellent battered fish and chips with home made mushy peas and tartare sauce produced in good time. Really good.

We were up in Ullapool as part our road trip down the West Coast of Scotland. After pitching the tent we thought we'd head in to the town for some dinner and a few drinks to prepare us for the chilly night ahead. The first place we saw was the Seaforth and thought we'd head inside for some warmth and some grub. There was only one other table at the time, which wasn't surprising as it is out of season. We ordered a pint and some food and it came reasonably quickly. But this is where the positives ended unfortunately. The cheesy garlic bread starter was just a baguette with a mound of cheese on top and was likely bought from Tesco around the corner and fired off in the oven. The mains were not much better. My chicken burger was very dry, very bland and overall very disappointing. The fish and chips also very dry and tasteless, which is very surprising considering the same business owns the chippy next door. Despite the dry and tasteless food we had partially consumed, the hardest part to swallow was the fact that two courses each and one drink each amounted to £63. There was also a mandatory 10% gratuity. If this was peak summer period and the staff were running off their feet, I can see why this would be appropriate. It certainly was not like that on this occasion. Overall, I won't be back. The food was underwhelming, and the prices are just completely bonkers. We should've checked here first as there are plenty previous reviews that follow the same trend. Avoid.
