We ate here before Covid and truly enjoyed the lobster. Such a shame it hasnt returned as we keep visiting Seaham hoping they have returned. It was a real delight and they were so accommodating to make sure the lunch was fantastic. We can only wish them well for the future and live in hope ....

Beautiful seafood dishes. Great staff. Quaint little restaurant with a beautiful outdoor seating area. I visited for the first time today for lunch and will definitely be returning soon. Such an amazing place to have right on my doorstep. Love it!

Best Fish and Chips i have had in years and i used to work in one. Lovely fresh fish , tasty chips that are well cooked and more sides than you can shake a stick at. Will definitely revisit when next in the area.

As for flavour, WOW it was bloody lovely and brought back memories of how fish nd chips used to be. Dont expect light crispy batter or firm crispy chips because its not going to happen. This is due to the beef dripping which doesnt cook as high temp as oil. I do feel it is rather heavy on the grease so therefore chips are limp and batter is soggy but get plenty salt n vinegar on jobs a good one. You go there for the original taste of the past. Staff are great as are the prices so whats not to like. Probably best taste outside of Beamish museum with same coal fired set up

Don't get fish shop food very often but tried tonight for a change and can't believe the prices for what they are. Small bag of chips over £3 wow.. orded my son a burger as he doesn't like fish and it was tiny and shrivelled . For that and chips over £5 i was disgusted. The quality of food for the price has really gone down and clems always was the best. Can't complain about the staff they were spot on, didn't complain when we asked for a refund for the burger. Staff are only as good as the tools and food that's provided

Aargh! We must've stood for about half an hour to get served (and the queue was barely to the door, and the place half-busy). Sullen staff, who just stand there waiting for you to speak first. Couldn't even be bothered to put the coffee onto the saucer. £4.50 for a slice of lemon cake!!! £2.50 for a tiny little cookie!!? It's a shopping outlet on the A19, not Zurich Airport. The coffee was alright, I think, I was just in a right mood after the service. I like giving the more independent places a go, but I really wished I'd gone to one of the nearby coffee chains for a drink.

Without a doubt these were the worst fish and chips I have had in a long time. The actual fish was fine but it was coated in a thick layer of greasy stodgy batter. Nothing crisp about it at all. Similarly the chips were floppy, and greasy. In terms of size there were just too many small "chips" and not enough decent longer ones. I wish I had walked the extra 20 yards up the way to Clems chippie, it could not be worse than this was.

Ordered a parmo. Absolutely delicous also got chicken tikka wrap. The chicken was so nice and fresh and the chips are too die for. Best on the town. I’ve not been for months and it’s changed massively also with a new 5 star rating

Toppings should go on top of the cheese not under it. tomato sauce was hardly detectable, base stodgy and spongy. the base was like a cake despite being billed as thin and crusty. if you don't know how to make a pizza, which really isn't difficult, then you shouldn't call yourself a pizzeria
