Toppings should go on top of the cheese not under it. tomato sauce was hardly detectable, base stodgy and spongy. the base was like a cake despite being billed as thin and crusty. if you don't know how to make a pizza, which really isn't difficult, then you shouldn't call yourself a pizzeria

The food was late and the pizza was distasteful as were the chips, I usually order from here and the food and service is usually great however this time it was not. I’m not sure I’ll be ordering from here again.

Ive ordered food from this place twice and so far its been very good, it arrived nice and hot and came in cartons not wrapped in paper like some fish and chips, we also had pizza which was very tasty and also arrived hot, I have found this to be a very good fish shop and also very good service,

Just bought a pizza and fish and chips, the fish was still swimming, but in oil, the chips were warm and unedible they all went in the bin. Will avoid this place in future.

This is a tough sell; it's sandwich between Stanley's new McDonald's, Manfredi's chip-shop - and Godfather PIzza. And there's another chip-shop - The Fish Inn - about a few hundred yards around the corner. And if you really want cheap pizza's - you have the Asda "restaurant" right in front. So how this place survives - is a miracle. What can I say - but the last two Kebab wraps (regular sizes) were delicious. One was a Salad, then a few days later - I had the Chips only version. I could not fault the wraps. So on this basis alone, I think this is a great place. Don't ask me about fish and chips though; or burgers. Whatever the reviews this place gets, the food will be miles better than Asda's horrid pizza hole. I enjoyed their wraps. Also - they seem to do a lot of home deliveries.

called here for takeaway.quick service with decent sized portions ,the fish &chips were ok without being brilliant.Not quite as good aas it should be considering the prices .

It’s one of these chip shops that’s consistent with their chips in my experience. Sometimes chip shops give you chips that are either re-heated, rock solid or just tasteless. Brenda’s has always given me great chips. As for anything else – it’s average. The menu is huge too. The only thing I don’t like is where it’s positioned; it’s at a junction and parking is awkward.

Just been to Brenda’s fish and chip shop in Chester Le st Ordered 3 fish and chips plus peas etc I wouldn’t go again It wasn’t disgusting but it was near to it Just rubbish food and not cheap

Just had restaurant-quality fish and chips from Brenda’s. Light batter, quality fish and fresh non-greasy chips. Top marks 👍

awful!! greasy fish batter and the chips are undercooked, a lot of choice but the staff are miserable and not bothered. I would not recommend at all

Used to be horrible a few year back.. now its lovely I visit the one in stanley very regular the staff are great!

Called at the Chester le Street shop for a takeaway of fish and chips. Was very busy, fish cooked to order and very fresh, huge portion, batter also good, the let down were the chips, they were dry, again a huge portion. For me this was more about quantity than quality.

we have had from brendas before and the food was always cooked fresh and the portions generous.the chips cooked the way i like and the batter light and crispy then we sort of forgot about thhe shop until the other night whilst i was waiting to go to work my husband and i remembered and went for our teas .we are glad we did as it was exactly the same as i remembered.my husband had burger in a bun and chips and i had the homemade cheese savoury(cheese,onion and potatoe in batter). with chips.i made the mistake of ordering 2 they were huge and full of cheese,onionand potatoe and i could only eat one.their cornedbeef savouries and fish cakes are homemade as well.they do a good varied menu with homemade pizzas and burgers as well and deliver.

Came up North to visit family. My daughter wanted pizza and she wasn't disappointed. Really nice pizza. Better than the usual big chain companies and far cheaper. Nice chips but not a massive portion compared to what I would get from the midlands

Puedo empezar diciendo que soy un amigo de la familia de los propietarios, pero no dejes que eso afecte su vista, cuando el miembro de la familia, primero me dijeron que pruebe Brenda's tengo que decir que me impresionó realmente quieren.

can only comment on the pizza s ,basic conveyour belt pizza not a lot of topping,plenty of cheese, this place seems to do lots of different stuff ie burgers fish & chips etc not cheap for what you get.

ive had lovely fish and chips here and also delicious pizzas with friendily delivery drivers and staff. However ive also had disguisting food and ignorant staff! Annoying!

bought kebab and chips from here for my boyfriend and it was terrible, would never eat food from here again, not surprised that its nearly always empty when I pass by every day!

I had heard bad things about this place but tried it, boy was I surprised, the fish were large and cooked fresh with good old fashioned chip shop chips. I will be going here again!

We ordered from brendas for a year on and off, ordered chicken one saturday and my whole party were off work ill up until the Tuesday

Order wasn't correct it was missing chips and other things so me and my partner ended up with just a piece of cod each it was greasy wasn't worth £12 never will I order from there again and will advise people not to !!!!

Ordered from just eat and the food arrived late and was stone cold...wouldnt order again...no help at all
