Sunnys Fish Inn in County Durham

Ordered a parmo. Absolutely delicous also got chicken tikka wrap. The chicken was so nice and fresh and the chips are too die for. Best on the town. I’ve not been for months and it’s changed massively also with a new 5 star rating

Just bought fish and chips. I was asked to wait as the fish was freshly cooked, it took 4 minutes and was huge. I shared the portion as it was so big but absolutely delicious, fish so fresh with crispy batter and gorgeous chips. Definitely recommend. Lovely lady who served me too.

Portion sizes have massively been reduced compared to normal but no change in price. Salad all mixed up and leaking from packaging, missing pitta breads

Waited over 2 hours for delivery and when it came the food was cold and items were missing, rang the takeaway who said the manager would ring me (they didn’t), I rang again and was told missing items would be sent out and still waiting

Delivery was 45 mins late than originally stated. Twice we rang about it to be told it had gone out, food was only just warm when it finally areived

Still not here. Can’t comment on the food because it’s not actually turned up. Time moved from an hour to and hour and 50 mins. No reply from restaurant phone now off the hook. So no food, payment taken and no one to talk to.

Abysmally tonight, 2 and a half hours and still no sign of delivery so told them to cancel the order and refund. Food eventually turned up and was turned away 30mins later. 3 phone calls and just excuses!

Food arrived over an hour late. When the delivery driver came she did briefly apologise for the lateness. The parmo was stone cold, as were the chips, it was completely inedible and so I didn’t eat it. The kebab meat was Luke warm. Very disappointing, I will be requesting a refund through just eat. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. Although the issues with delivery time and cold food are seemingly an issue that a lot of people are having.

Waited ages for it to be delivered they were not answering phones i went down delivery driver left shop 10 mins ago came home food was just getting delivered it was cold Cabab meat was rock hard and over done hun was hard garlic sause had leaked all over the bag my partner is allergic to mayo i havnt ate a think its disgusting i had to have a bowl of cerial which is not on when I ordered I want a full refund im not happy at all

Meat is very poor, no flavour. Tastes cheap

Parmo was disgusting good chance it was someone’s missing cat because it definitely wasn’t chicken, cheesy chips were burnt not sure how that possible but the cook needs a timer for Christmas, only thing that was nice was the chips, definitely won’t be ordering again

For the price of fish and chip I expect the fish to be larger than it was, outrageously expensive

2 and half hour wait for food is ridiculous if they busy hire more staff

Well first of all cheesy chips were cold, kabab meat was cold and the pizza didn’t even turn up at all then after several attempts to call finally I got an answer and when I finally got my pizza that also turned up cold after being late by an hour. No refund given no nothing. Never again

We ordered on line , it took 2 hours for the food to arrive only to find that the meat was missing from the kebab . We phoned the shop and were told that it would be 45 minutes before the meat could be delivered . We live less than half a mile from the shop and only ordered on line out of convenience. The kebab was cold and smaller than normal and the tray of chips topped with cheese was also only half full and cold .

Food was just warm, like it had been stood for a while and my order wasn't correct. Delivery driver said they were busy but still need to get orders right.

Ordered food at 5.30 said it would be delivered 6.30, 8pm we called the shop to ask what was happening...after calling about 10 times eventually got an answer and was told our food was ready and just waiting to be picked up by the driver. Food eventually arrived at 9.35pm. 4 hours after placing the order, it's cold and like rubber. Will never order here again..

Nearly 2 hours ago I ordered and it still isn’t even here!! I’ve rang the shop 23 times to see where it is and no one is answering… my children are hungry and tiered, it’s an absolute joke!!

Lovely food. However cheesy chip portion small for price and some chips were burnt black.

Plainest bbq chicken pizza I've ever tasted 🙄 can't taste the bbq sauce at all. Very Plain

Food was good but the fish and the chips with the Parmo wasn’t very hot and the parmo that we ordered didn’t have any mushrooms on it, can it be rectified on next order please?

Over 2 hours from ordering to getting food, which most of it was cold, sausage, cold, kebab, cold, chips barely warm, fish and curry sauce hot! No salad with the kebab and don't read the notes either, think this will be the last time ordering which is a shame cos the food is really tasty.

Ordered food at 1930 for myself and kids I called up at 2100 she told me it was in the car and coming too me another 30 min past called again they said it’s coming so waited . now gone 10 pm called back no answer at all . Went to shop front doors shut … Shocking service absolutely disappointed in your shop and service as it stands you have taken £25 off me and Lied to me on two separate calls my food has not arrived there for is this not theft ? I will never step foot in your shop again and will also tell anyone thinking of coming to you not to bother you can not do this to your customers and think you can getaway with it

Food was cold when it arrived, took a long time to arrive after placing order (1 hour 45 mins) The order of chips/curry was awful, the chips were hard in the middle of the portion & hardly any curry at all. Very disappointed, reluctant to order again 😟

Absolutely spot on , fish always great , staff helpful and efficient . Pizza are amazing , we love the cheese and tomato as well the garlic bread with cheese . Food hot when it arrives .

Food was nice and was warm enough

We often get fish and chips and cheese pattie and chips. Portions are large and all delicious! Love the mushy peas and curry sauce too. Staff always friendly.

After waiting over 2 hours for our food and also being charged twice for our delivery when it turned up I asked for garlic sauce on my kebab wrap it had chilli sauce on instead. I rang up the restaurant after 1 hour and was told my food was going to be 30-40 minutes I mentioned the double delivery charge on the phone and restaurant said I’d be refunded when the driver turned up but didn’t receive a refund.

Will not order again ruined all our plans for the evening whilst we waited. Now the app says 'delivered' yet we are still waiting !!

Ordered and paid extra for a bolognaise parmo, got a plain. Thinnest chicken I've ever seen, like wafer thin. Too much faff to take it back, no attention to detail and can't read orders.

Never has southern fried chicken don’t see the point of it being on their menu food due at 6pm 7pm rolls around still no sign you ring the shop and all you get is it’s out with the driver it will be there when it gets there

Ordered a wrap with donner, salad and chips. No chips in the wrap and was completely stone cold. Ordered at 5:30pm and it arrived at 8pm.

Food was absolutely disgusting. Polystyrene was metled onto one of the fish and chip portions which made the fish taste disgusting, fish was overdone Worst part about it was we rang to complain of the lack of chicken in the chicken wrap it was just piled high with salad, we sat on the other end of the phone while the staff were fighting among themselves as to who did it so we just ended up putting the phone down. Never ever will I order from here again.

We used to order here a lot its been a while but shocked that it took over two hours for our food to arrive cold and in a terrible state! :( I've never been so disgusted.... everyone is allowed a bad day but this is appalling. We tried to call no answer, we asked for an update twice no response. This is beyond a bad day! :(

Over 2 and half hours for a simple fish and chips order. Not acceptable for a venue 3minutes away. Rang after 2 hours to see where the delivery was and someone on the phone was very apologetic and said it would be no longer than 15minutes but yet another 35 minutes before we received our order. Terrible service
