I am Gluten free and was really impressed with the items I could have to eat here. Spoke to another lady who is a coeliac and she said that she has never had a bad experience here with GF so was really glad to hear this. They have a separate fryer for GF items. Really enjoyable experience. Staff helpful and friendly, everywhere lovely and clean. You can eat in the restaurant or takeaway and eat on benches outside at the front whilst watching out to sea. Thank you we will be back!

What has happened to The Cracking Crab?! Having visited The Cracking Crab so many times over the years, this is the first time I and my friends have been truly disappointed. The portions were meagre and expensive and the crab meat was a strange orange colour with no visible white flesh. When I asked why no white flesh, I was told it had been mixed with the brown flesh (it looked like tape worms in it!) which obviously was not the case. It was tasteless and clearly was not traditional crab meat. I had it on a baguette which used to be of really good quality, which this one was not. My friend had the crab sandwich and a similar complaint: 'orange' and tasteless. So disappointing. Also, despite the place being nearly empty and bored looking young waitresses hanging around, the 6 of us older ladies of a certain age were still only able to order via an app on a phone, which we found challenging.

Just arrived in the area for a few days at a cottage in the area, but arriving too late to eat at a pub/etc. Found this on route which Google reviews suggests good but not much on my usual place to check (here on TripAdvisor)... But great! Cooked our cod to order and it was great, tender fish, crispy outter batter with soft against to skin ... Yummy...nice chips too. Very big portions so we probably should have shared our chips,😜

Lovely cafe adjacent to and accessible from a vibrant art space. Open and inviting atmosphere with lots of seating, even on a lovely day. Coffee, tea, cakes, pints, and a creative range of food options: breakfasts, brunch, sandwiches, salads, a great range of choice. We popped in for a tea, but one look at the menu and the dishes delivered to nearby tables made we want to return. Will look forward to doing that in the near future!

Went in for a small portion of chips, 3 sausages and a fruit shoot and once arriving home I had checked my bank balance to see I had been charged £37 instead of £12 via Apple Pay! Disappointing food and even more disappointed that I had paid triple the price for it.

On the second consecutive time items missing. First incidence in person order ,2 pea fritters missing got home none there so didn’t bother phoning or complaining. Tonight order through Deliveroo 2 x curry sauces omitted not a happy customer although at least Deliveroo will refund. Nothing to complain about the food its good and fresh as long as you get it !!

Thought this looked like a good fish and chip restaurant with a fishmonger right next door.....won't be going back again, the fish was tiny I've seen bigger child portions. Even worse because I asked for a large cod and was told they only do one size, I trusted it would be a fair size but when I got home and saw it I was shocked. Chips are not the fresh usual chip shop type but obviously frozen and overcooked, even dousing in vinegar couldn't soften them. Totally unsatisfied so I'm off for a fillet o fish to fill the gap.
