They found me some large fresh haddock after I arrived less than 10 minutes before closing. Very pleasant staff, very accommodating. And as for the haddock. Tasty, meaty fish encased in thin, crispy batter. Delicious!

Recommended by family member who has been many times before. We took a ride out from Dartford to Eastbourne and stopped off here to see for ourselves what the fish was like. We knew it was cash only so not a problem. We arrived when it opened at midday and placed our order and it was cooked to order and brought to our table. The entire meal served on a warm plate and food nice and hot too and served directly from the fryer. We had the cod which was cooked to perfection, with light crispy batter and flakes of white fish (no grey in sight like some other fish we have had elsewhere). Chips so nice, proper chip shop chips and all washed down with a nice cup of strong tea. If you’re in the area or out for a drive as we were, then definitely pay this place a visit. Nice warm and friendly welcome is waiting for you and some smashing fish and chips.

Spent £30 through Uber. A whole meal was missing so called the restaurant for some clarification and the lady on the phone was very rude saying she definitely did it etc and nothing they can do. Call Uber eats and get a refund.. so we’ll go with no dinner then? Even if it was Ubers fault, there was no need for the rudeness on the phone. Not good customer service at all, not even an apology.

Small chips are literally small. Prob about the size of a small crisp Packet and a piece of ( large) Cod @£9.00 looked like it had been cut in half. Good quality fish but most deffo overpriced for the portion size and a bit of a challenging staff member….

Always get heartburn when I've had a fish from here....not great.

I was there carnival night. The atmosphere was amazing, queues out the door, staff working flat out. We had the chips and mushy peas and it was fantastic food, also gluten free.

really disappointed with what was suppose to be large fish and chips. it was so small, appalling. it was also incredibly greasy and overcooked. chips were full of bits. will never go here again

Sunday roast, a large plate for £12:95 but lamb an extra 2 quid, it was slightly overdone but with a nice selection of vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and some stuffing. Dessert was a gluten free Alabama fudge cake, I asked and got whipped cream. I wouldn't have known it was gluten free. Great banter with the staff a d it was my first visit. Recommended
