Always get heartburn when I've had a fish from here....not great.

Chips not cooked properly again. Seems to be a regular thing now. Most chippies these days seem to serve up anemic chips. They’re not supposed to be white!

Hot food on delivery really tasty and excellent service

Food was hot and delicious. Everything was well cooked and not greasy. Would definitely order from there again.

Got fish and chips twice and a curry sauce with delivery £18, portion sizes were tiny, very very small fish and barely a hand full of chips, felt ripped off with what we got

chips have gone off recently, all hard and chewy. They used to be brilliant.

Favourite chippy but never used just eat before for it, will go into the shop in future. Overly priced & luke warm.

Undercooked chips. Not the first time lately. You simply aren’t cooking them for long enough. Given the price of your chips, I’d expect them to at least be cooked.

The order was ok apart for the chips which tasted dry.

Food was NOT DELIVERED Food wasn’t handed over by driver as I had no code, he kept insisting I had been sent one so took the food away, shocking service, will not be using Judy eat in the future

The food was cold when delivered due to not being in a insulated bag it was in a bag for life carrier bag

I don’t usually do reviews but I felt I had to with this one I was very nearly put off with the prices but decided to give it ago and I’m glad I did it’s the first chippy me and my partner have thoroughly enjoyed and definitely the best on just eat!

Ordered food just after 6pm and got it at 7.34pm. Time kept moving up and food came luke warm. Don’t think will order again

ordered regular fish, chips and curry sauce it's was delicious the batter was crispy and light and not the usual soggy batter chips were great and curry sauce is lovely, arrived hot and fresh 10 out of 10 definitely recommend and will be going here every time I get a chippy craving 😁

Great English style chippy, fresh fish and very pleasant staff.

Well ive had many great fish and chip style meals from here over the last few years. But the last two times it's been awful; chips burned on the outside but soggy and raw on the inside, fish over cooked and very dry. I don't think I'd go here again, I need to find a better fish and chip shop. It almost like there is new management who don't care and want to run it into the ground.

Ordered Fish and chips, Cooked to perfection, Light crispy batter on the fish and chips were very nice ,Highly recommended.

The last couple of orders have not been as good as they used to be. I don't know what's happened but the fish and chips unfortunately are nowhere near as they used to be.

Didn’t read the note in the comments asking for no mayo so the loaded fries didn’t get eaten, curry sauce was absolutely vile and the chips were just soggy and tasteless. Really disappointed

Driver was 2 minutes away on map but took 15 minutes, food came barely warm, not the restaurants fault really as would have been nice if hot, just eat need to limit the number of deliveries a driver can take

Food all delivered correctly, everything was hot and very tasty. Delivery time was good too and the driver was polite and respectful of property.

lovely chips and fish but if you order more than 4 items in one order 🤯 explosion you will be missing a item every time. I travel from tyldesley to Leigh so the time you get back open the bag see the disappointment of yet another missing item no way I'm driving back. Not many good chippies so I just keep going back.

The delivery time was continuously put back later and later. Which when you are planning to go out at a specific time, adds stress. The portion was on the light side and in our opinion, not really a large portion of chips or a large pot of curry. The chips were tasty but they were clearly old, having been cooked a while.

Brilliant chippy!!! First started coming here when it was located In Pennington in 1970s....still fantastic as it was then! Highly recommended and outshines the competition in the area. Top quality 👌

Considering this is one of the most expensive chippys in Leigh ,food was hot but was missing the main part of the meal and the chips wasn’t the best either , rang to complain only to be told they won’t send another out and to log it with just eat for a refund won’t be ordering again

Been on the hunt for a good chippy since moving away from the Isle of Man, safe to say I found one 🙌 good sausage, friendly staff, all round good vibes

Fish cakes ok but Missing Barm Cakes

This chippy is the best around the atherton and leigh area ,we have been ordering from here for a few months and the food is always hot and delicious and always delivered early , no complaints at all , I won't go anywhere else now :)

Unfortunately a driver was never assigned. It certainly isn't the fault of Pennington Place, they couldn't apologise enough. It's all down to Just Eat and the drivers. Shocking service.. the meal was eventually cancelled.

Usually good food, last order was awful, today's order is exactly the same. Chips are mouldy and there's that many of them you don't have much left to actually eat. The photo is only a small portion of the mouldy chips. The chips where all soggy too, usually nice and crispy but the last 2 orders have been awful. Not sure if Martin has sold up and someone else is serving this rubbish, or if Martin wasn't there on both occasions and staff are letting this go out the door. Really hope I don't get a repeat else I'm going to need to go else where 😞

Food is good here but my 6 year old got a chicken nuggets kids meal.......with 3 nuggets in it!!! Mcdees do better than that!! She was left with a adults portion of chips!! 3 nuggets really?? Penny pinching or what!

Really really great food! Not too greasy, love that the fish came wrapped separate so it didn’t go soggy. Curry sauce was lovely. Thanks for a fab meal this is defo our regular chippy now.

Order completely wrong .Pennington place and just eat failed to sort out resulting in being £35 out of pocket !

Just eat showing order delivered but wasn’t, rang the shop to be told nothing they can do contact Just Eat, then call from shop to say driver didn’t have the address! Strange? Gave the address and food was delivered but was cold by the time we finally got it, order regularly from here and usually good but very disappointed this time

Gorgeous food as always. Chips were a delicious golden brown, chips, chilli bites, fish and sauces were all really tasty. Highly recommend this chippy.

Curry had spilled out of the container and through the paper it was wrapped in. Was Only just warm. Barm was dry, but husband ate due to being hungry.
