MY wife and some of the family went for afternoon tea to celebrate our nieces birthday
On arrival the table was set with a lovely red table cloth and they had put up birthday banners
Our 3yr old granddaughter had an Easter egg and colouring in things at her place
The service was first class and the sandwiches and cakes were amazing we could not believe the amount we
Got and granddaughter got her own mini plate so much to eat we each have a doggy bag to take home
and all for the price of £20 well worth every penny and definitely recommend to friends .
Thank you for making our granddaughter part of this experience will definitely be back
My husband and I went out ad hoc for the day as it was our anniversary. I haven't been well so we didn't book anywhere to eat as we weren't sure if I would be able to go out.
Hence we were dressed in our everyday comfy attire and was just looking for a pub tea somewhere. On our way home we stumbled on Kildrummy Inn which looked very nice but still expected it to be an ordinary run hotel. We walked in to find the most beautiful restaurant in an hotel and were greeted so warmly as if dressed like the other guests whom at all made an effort..
From that moment on the experience grew. The host I think named David showed us through to a beautiful warm fire, it was freezing, then took our drinks order, which came with the most delicious complimentary nibbles, he also spent a long answering all my husbands questions about the Inn.
He took our order and I mentioned I normally had a Diane Sauce with my steak, which wasn't on the menu, "No problem Madam, our Chef would be happy to make that for you". Can I say I have never had a nicer Diane Sauce, the whole meal and every member of staff could not have made our visit more attentive or special. During our meal after our starter we had a surprise complimentary tomato consume, again delicious.
We came to realised the restaurant is normally well booked in advance but we couldn't have been luckier as there was a last minute cancellation, so be aware a booking in advance is normally required.
If your in the area or happy to travel a wee bit please don't miss out on this experience.
Yes a bit more expensive than an ordinary pub lunch but we have paid more for a less superior meal or experience in other locations, hence worth every penny.
Please take the opportunity to frequent, you will not be disappointed both the food and drinks choices are excellent and you will leave having had a guaranteed very special evening.
Amazing food with the highlight the lamb shank my husband had. He wants to come back tomorrow!! Momo and samosa starter were lovely and the complimentary sweet and chilli potato snack was a delight.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Probably one of the best burgers I've had in the UK, my son had the same burger and agreed it was one of the best.
This is one of best coffee shops I have known. It's such a shame that it's taken me 72 years to discover it. Great coffee and delicious food. The bacon rolls are gigantic.
We had the best meal for a birthday! Everything ran smoothly, staff couldnt have been more helpful prior to the meal and also efficient and approachable! It was the most enjoyable experience!
Many thanks Team Drouthy for making this birthday so special! Highly recommend x
Lovely Bistro with a great menu for gluten free options. The cakes are always delicious.
It’s friendly staff always make you feel special so we keep going back. It’s local and inexpensive with a laid back atmosphere.
The visit we had to here was lovely! Atmosphere was amazing. The servers and locals were very nice. The food and drink you could not fault. Definitely making this a fav spot
We are frequently tempted to try other Indian restaurants in the area however any time we've done it, inc Aberdeen, we always regret it. Spice of Life has been the best restaurant in the area for some time now and judging by our most recent visit will hold the title for a while yet.
Our meal last night was perfect in every respect. We were a 4some and seated in a booth, had a degree of privacy. Starters of a chicken tandoori, a mixed platter and chicken panoramic arrived quickly and beautifully presented as we've become accustomed to, it all tasted just as good as it looked, fantastic.
Mains were chicken Chettinade, Dahnsak, Jalfrezi and Bhoona were all stunning, a pilau rice, coconut rice, peshwari and Masala Naan completed the feast. Empty dishes and plates told the story...
Great value, efficient and friendly staff, on site car parking make a fantastic experience.
We might continue to try other restaurants, we will always return here.
Thank you for catering so well for gluten free. Gluten free cones and a lot of effort to avoid cross contamination. Done with a smile and no problem. Tubs don't cut it really (usual option for us gluten free folks) so to leave with a cone and a smile, just like other people, is fabulous.
This is a hidden gem. A lovely couple, with great service, and such a cute atmosphere, even got hot water bottles! The coffee was lovely, delicious cheesy sausage roll - the nicest pastry I've ever had! Finished with a lotus biscoff doughnut.. still dreaming about it. Definitely a must visit if your passing by.
We loved our experience at the Fish Shop and were glad we drove over from Braemar in the dark. The stylish white dining room had a nice atmosphere and one could think to be in London. Staff was very friendly , food delicious and pricing fair. Highly recommendable
