You need to find your way through a chemist's shop and then upstairs - but it is worth it! We stopped for the soup and sandwich deal; a bowl of hot home-made soup, thick with lentils and chunks of bacon and a chicken mayo sandwich stuffed full and with salad and crisps. Delicious and a bargain.

Just visited for the first time today and we'll certainly be back. We had the chicken broth (lovely bowl of soup with lots of chicken and vegetables), shared a sweet chilli chicken panini (very tasty) then shared a piece of sponge cake (tasty and light). The service was very pleasant too. Looking forward to our next visit.

We visit Munch regularly for coffee or light lunch. The staff are friendly and the food is always good.

I quite often stop in here for a latte and something nice to eat, whether a snack or a meal. The staff are always friendly, and even though some things are only on the menu til 11.30am, they've allowed me to order them in the afternoon. Today, my husband had a pot of tea and I had the cinnamon crunch latte, along with bacon and egg rolls - total comfort food, very well cooked, and presented by a smiling waitress. I recommend.

Really enjoyed our soup and sandwich. The soup is home made and the bread was lovely and soft. Great coffee too. We’ll recommended

Lovely wee cafe hidden up the stairs of the pharmacy. Friendly service and nice cakes! Dirty toilet which leaves me scoring less than 5 for this visit.

Looking for a coffeehouse, couldn't find any, asking a local and inside a pharmacy up the stairs it opened up a lovely coffeehouse with typically Scottish friendly atmosphere with perfect Latte and Scones. 9 of 10 points. Just great

Well, this was a find. We couldn’t find anywhere for an early-lunch break until we found this first floor cafe. Located over a chemist/pharmacy we had a delicious snack, with scones, pancake, jam and tea. You need to hunt out the place, but it was obvious that it was well known to local residents .

Quite small inside and not much of an outlook. Veriety of home bakes, and a choice of soups along with the usual sandwich’s 🥪 etc.,

We visited Banff as part of our coach trip out for the day and came across this place entirely by accident.

I don't think you can beat the breakfast in Strachan's for quality or price. It comes with tea or coffee, toast and is first class. The bacon, sausage and black pudding are from a local butcher and every bit is excellent. I hope the picture does it justice and at £6.25 you will not get better. If you like a big breakfast you got to try this.

You might miss this great coffee shop as it is above the chemists. You enter the chemists and go up the stairs at the back of the shop. Really lovely staff and a great selection of home baking. The gluten free millionaires shortcake was delicious. Modern decor and nice atmosphere.

Tucked away above one of the pharmacies in Banff, but worth finding. Morning coffee/ tea and scones a delight. Fresh cooked scones, and a different "special" every day! Raspberry & white chocolate, yum!

Friendly, cosy, clean with good service and lovely fresh food. Unusual location above a pharmacy but good use of space. Would recommend Munch to anyone visiting area.

Both chemists on the high street have coffee shops within them- This cafe is located within Strachan's Pharmacy. I cannot recall seeing any signage on the outside highlighting a cafe being here.

We had the best meal for a birthday! Everything ran smoothly, staff couldnt have been more helpful prior to the meal and also efficient and approachable! It was the most enjoyable experience! Many thanks Team Drouthy for making this birthday so special! Highly recommend x

Had lunch here on a cold wet day. There are a couple of pavement tables but it was not a day for sitting outside. The soup was ideal and very tasty. It was noticeable that the staff were exceptionally helpful towards customers with mobility problems, going outside to help one person out of a car and through the door. Very heart warming.

This place is a wee gem! A phenomenal selection of whiskies, a very tasty sharing platter, all served by friendly staff who love to share funny stories. A few locals were in who also love a blether. Lovely seating area outside too. Only open Friday to Sunday at present.

Travelled 2 hours after reading reviews about this cafe - which seemed like an idyllic place to take my mother for coffee and cake, bit of scenery and a day out. Checked winter opening times which advised opening at 11:30 on Sunday - We arrived slightly early and enjoyed a short walk. We decided to go back to car when THE cafe had not opened by 11:50 - when at the car we saw a lady open the cafe - so excitedly made our way over. I asked the lady if the cafe was open for coffee to which she replied "it is but the kettle takes an hour to boil" and she walked away. Very disappointed. Had the opening times stated 1pm -- there would have been no issue. However no explanation or apology given.
