Fantastic food, great atmosphere. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Probably one of the best burgers I've had in the UK, my son had the same burger and agreed it was one of the best.

Wonderful wee place, well worth a visit if you want to buy a delicious takeaway lobster or crab lunch. We bought small tubs of lobster salad, it was so tasty and fresh, and they were only £6 each. It was our favourite meal of our holiday. There are a couple of picnic tables outside, if you want to eat beside the small harbour. You can also order online for collection, they sell amazing seafood platters. They sell some nice gifts too. The Lobster Shop is not too far from St Cyrus Beach, if you are looking to buy a picnic.

What a gem fir this quiet, lovely town of 3,000 or so. Absolutely the best fish I have ever had. Deep flavored filet that took me back to fresh redfish or speckled trout in Florida, though whiter and more delicate. Chips were fantastic as well. They also do meat and other pies, burgers, cupcakes and soft drinks. Easy to street park fir take away. No tables. I cannot wait to go back. Just fantastic.

Amazing battered fish. Fresh cooked in 7 mins. Crispy batter and succulent white fish WOW! Got a few free chips to try too. Excellent service.🥳 I am back 3 months later... and fish is as amazing as before SO SO crispy batter on my single haddock. Amazing. Buy in shop, wait to be fresh cooked.... and devour!! 🥰

Chicken fillets was decent however the chips were bang average, go to glovers or st modans!

This Bistro is as good as it gets, there again last Saturday evening with friends and had an excellent dinner. Great starters of scallops & soup, lobster mains and one other main which escapes me, oh and managed a sweet, fabulous. A few drinks including a couple of bottles of wine, very. The sad news is, we were told it was closing permanently the following evening Sunday and it has, due to lack of business which is a terrible shame. We travelled all the way up from Laurencekirk picking up friends en-route as we have done in the past. It a shame an establishment like this have closed.

Gluten Free Fish and Chips, just what we were looking for. They were great and we sat outside in the sun and ate them and enjoyed the view out to sea. Will definitely return if we're ever in Stonehaven again.

Family late birthday meal, was 4 of us, starters for 2, mains for 4 and all 4 had puddings. Absolutely lovely meal, was so delicious. Cocktails to, would highly recommend.

Very good fish & chips. Used to frequent another chip shop in the area. However, it has been less impressive of late with quite tasteless chips. The chips at Rock salt &sole were really tasty, as was the fish. We'll definitely be using this chippy again.

Have dined here over many years and it has been so reliably good. Recently had dinner and when we arrived for our 5:30pm booking the place was already packed which is always a great sign. Decor is fabulous, staff are always friendly and efficient. The menu was so interesting it was tricky to choose. I'm pescetarian and went for the haddock kiev, never having seen that as an option before. Every item on my plate was perfection and I'd have licked it clean if socially acceptable. Then the creme brulee was just heavenly. Could not recommend highly enough 😋

Popped in along for fish and chips with family to take home whilst on holiday. Excellent service from entering the chip shop, young friendly and professional staff, one way system through from till to collection of food. Food is cooked fresh to order so was nice and pipping hot. Definitely be back.

I was in last weekend and got the kul and skink, on my first taste I knew I had burned the rood of my mouth.I had to leave ot for 15 minutes before it cooled enough to eat it. I didn't realise how bad the burn was at the time but knew it was really , 5 days on and my mouth is still in agony and possible have an infection now.That is not a natural heat from a stove that do that sort of damage. I'm just glad it wasn't a child! You really need to think about how you are heating food.
