Delicious ANZAC biscuit. Very quiet on a Monday. Fast and friendly service. Clean. Small branch. Limited seating. Good range of hot drinks and a selection of pastries as well as sandwiches.

Siempre me impresionan las caras sonrientes del personal que me saludan cuando compro el almuerzo de aquí. Es mi ir al lugar si en la zona para una barra y fruta, etc., mucha variedad y siempre fresco. ¡Estoy enganchado con la baguette asiática de pollo en este momento! Un montón de espacio para sentarse al aire libre aquí también.

I agree with a previous reviewer that Paradise Greens feels like it was designed for business meals—somewhere polished enough to impress on the surface, but not focused enough on delivering a memorable dining experience. The food was good, but not standout, and the portion sizes landed in that same middle ground: not generous, but not small enough to feel intentionally refined. It’s a place that seems to be aiming for “premium,” but stops just short, which leaves the experience feeling oddly non-committal. We also had an uncomfortable start to our visit when we arrived as a small group without a reservation. Even though the restaurant stayed mostly empty while we were there, the staff seemed put off by our arrival, creating an unwelcoming vibe right from the start. In short, Paradise Greens looks and prices itself like a premium spot, but the food, service, and atmosphere all hover in an awkward in-between space—not bad, but not something I’d go out of my way to recommend.

Went here with my colleagues a few weeks back and the food is well tasting, although slightly pricey, and the atmosphere is very nice. However, problem for us was: one of our party members has nut allergy. As always, we made that very clear at the beginning of our visit and was assured that no dishes would contain nuts. That they are in fact completely nut-free as a restaurant. Half an hour in to our visit my friend got an allergic reaction and had to use an EpiPen and go straight to the emergency room for treatment. The staff, kept claiming that it couldn’t possibly come from the restaurant, and claimed that it might potentially be someone at another table having a snickers bar (or similar). From his long experience of this allergy, this is not how my friend has an allergic reaction. It was clearly something he had put in his mouth. We suspect that someone in the kitchen might have brought in something that contained nuts and that it had accidentally found itself into the food being served. There’s no other logical explanation. An error that, literally, could have been life threatening. Although apologetic, the staff made zero attempt to rectify the situation. We had to have our dinner abruptly interrupted by long conversations about what had happened, without anyone showing any interest to rectify the situation. We were asked to fill out a form, but since then there has been no further attempt from the restaurant to make right for this situation. I’m very disappointed by their handling. We left after our meal. They agreed to remove my friend’s meal from the final tab (no brainer). But that was all. I have waited to write this review to give the restaurant an honest chance to rectify their huge mistake. But I feel that their grace period has now ended. BE WARNED: Under no circumstances visit this place if you have any allergies. They clearly don’t take their responsibility seriously.

The bar itself is very nicely decorated and attractive. If it wasn't for the music that was too loud and booming in your ears, we could have enjoyed our visit there a lot more. Unfortunately, even the waitress hardly understood a word. However, she was very accommodating and helped us with the huge selection of cocktails. The food was delicious. The fries were just a little cold and a plate would be nice for the churros in the future, as this would prevent the sticky sugar and caramel from spreading across the table. As for the drinks, we got a cold espresso and cocktails that took some getting used to. The "theatrical" effect of these was nice, but otherwise not for everyone.

We had a wonderful experience at Gaucho. We heard lots of good things about Gaucho and they were right. Joe show us the different kinds of stakes and recommend us to go for the gaucho sampler with a wine pairing. I totally recommend it. He was really knowledgeable and it made our dinner so much more enjoyable.

Vi bestilte både forrett, middag og dessert. Forskjellige retter og alt smakte fortreffelig. Dette er en svært god restaurant med meget vennlig service. Anbefales på det sterkeste.

Siempre había una cola en la entrada de esta cafetería, así que pensé en intentarlo dada la reciente noticia de que Black Sheep los había capturado. Mocha suave y encantadora, sin sabor amargo, y una generosa porción de pastel de zanahoria, ¡que fue excelente!

On Thursday 20 March 2025, my son and I attended a productive meeting. On our way home, on passing, we decided to round off the end of the day with an eat-in visit to the Liverpool Street branch of Jamaican Patty Co. (JPC) before departing for home just ahead of rush hour. Wow! No, really Wow! If you think that you have had a really tasty patty before you have had a JPC patty, then as I just discovered, please…think again. My son had beef and I had chicken - both absolutely perfect. Don’t question customer service; it was superb (this is the short statement about both the welcoming server and the other lady we spoke with whilst eating our patties). After eating our patties, I could do no better, and was so delighted to be enabled, to buy a further supply of frozen patties to take home. After I got home and stored the patties in my freezer, I called JPC to ask for advice as to how to warm them up to the same standard (so I did not overcook them) as we had eaten in the restaurant. A gentleman answered and you could tell from the background noises that they were busy but he gave me his time and explained what I needed to do to reheat my JPC patties to the required hot and, as he described, ‘fluffy’ standard as I had eaten in the restaurant. Thank you JPC :-)

This is basically a take out counter located close to many offices in the heart of the city. Busy. Having said this, they have a good selection of hot drinks, some sweet treats and what looked like sandwiches or toasties. The americano was very good and the cacao ball with coconut (like an energy ball) was what I needed late afternoon after having no lunch. Really good. Service was pleasant and friendly but slow. They were not that busy but the girl serving me appeared to have her mind elsewhere! I went to another branch recently which was also quite good. I would however recommend not having the filter coffee which they offered me as this was not good. The americano was much better. Not cheap at all especially for the small cup of coffee. However, this is in line of what you would expect to pay in the city! I wouldn't go everyday for that reason but definitely as a treat.

Wanted to have a work brunch but they only do a ‘long lunch’ now which really isn’t as good value for money. Overall food was ok, nothing special though as the steak (which is what you go for) was bang average, but was appalled when reviewing the receipt that they charged £11 for water on the table! Service was very slow despite being one of the only people in there and had to ask for the bill multiple times. The long lunch was 55pp but ended up nearly 90pp because of tap water and some shots. Wouldn’t go again

Disfrutable hasta cierto punto, pero muy fuerte y difícil de hablar sin gritar! Mesas muy juntas. Menú limitado y no llevaba información calórica. Intentamos obtener esto a través de la aplicación en el menú, pero no pudimos obtener señal y estaba demasiado oscuro para leer de todos modos! Sin embargo, el problema principal es que se nos pidió que desalojáramos nuestra mesa en 90 minutos en lugar de 2 horas según la reserva. El personal nos encontró una mesa alternativa para tomar un café (que tenía una mesa extremadamente alta detrás de nosotros), pero nos sentimos innecesariamente apresurados y ambos habíamos viajado a Londres para reunirse. Mencionamos nuestra infelicidad por tener que mudarnos antes de que pasaran 2 horas, pero nos dijeron que estaban ocupados y ‘haciendo su trabajo’. 1 . 5 horas era todo lo que podían permitir. Si ese es el caso, por favor deje esto claro a los clientes cuando reserven. Necesitábamos más tiempo y habríamos elegido otro lugar si hubiéramos sabido que estábamos por debajo de un límite de tiempo tan corto. Además, una asignación de tiempo más corta no se vio favorecida por el hecho de que el servicio era un poco lento. En el lado positivo, dejé una bolsa atrás. El personal lo encontró y lo mantuvo seguro para mí, lo cual aprecio mucho. No creo que vuelva aunque solía trabajar al otro lado de la carretera y venía regularmente en el pasado.
