Paradise Green in City of London, Westminster

I agree with a previous reviewer that Paradise Greens feels like it was designed for business meals—somewhere polished enough to impress on the surface, but not focused enough on delivering a memorable dining experience. The food was good, but not standout, and the portion sizes landed in that same middle ground: not generous, but not small enough to feel intentionally refined. It’s a place that seems to be aiming for “premium,” but stops just short, which leaves the experience feeling oddly non-committal. We also had an uncomfortable start to our visit when we arrived as a small group without a reservation. Even though the restaurant stayed mostly empty while we were there, the staff seemed put off by our arrival, creating an unwelcoming vibe right from the start. In short, Paradise Greens looks and prices itself like a premium spot, but the food, service, and atmosphere all hover in an awkward in-between space—not bad, but not something I’d go out of my way to recommend.

Food was extremely expensive and poor quality. I had never eaten such a spicy breakfast :( service was fine and the place is beautiful, but I wouldn't go there again

We attended the Paradise nights this Saturday evening looking forward to a lovely evening and great atmosphere with friends Unfortunately the service we received was pretty poor, the waitress who served us to start with (Janet I believe her name was) was rude, abrupt and spoke to us with real attitude, she barked replies back to questions we asked about the evening and made us feel really unwelcome. For a Saturday night the place seemed empty and lacked the atmosphere we were expecting from previous reviews. When the food arrived we found it to be to a good standard and was very tasty. The singers all had good voices although some of the song choices were questionable which is fine as we all have different tastes. At 10:20 we were being rushed to finish our drinks and go as they were obviously keen to close. Overall a disappointing evening and unfortunately not one I would recommend

Really lovely staff, lots of space, great for omnivores but unfortunately there was a single vegan option (the healthy start) which is much less than I've come to expect from this chain. Oh well

I was recommended this place by a friend who had previously been here, and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely welcome when we arrived at the restaurant and everything was served in a timely manner. The food was amazing. I’m looking forward to coming back in October for my wedding anniversary.

We went for my birthday brunch and were disappointed. Food was nice but overpriced. Worst of it all was the awful customer service as well as cleanliness. Staff were cold and unaccommodating. My friends brought a cupcake and candle and asked the staff to bring it out with dessert, which they agreed to but then forgot even after being reminded. Additionally, right next to our table was a mouse running around during the entire meal. Not a pleasant experience.

Booked this place for 25, for a 40th Birthday Brunch. Provided us with a lovely, private space and were on top of food and drinks orders throughout (including the pre-order). Very happy with our choice, and all of the feedback from the guests was overwhelmingly positive, and the food was enjoyed by all.

Jenny was lovely and gave a great recommendation for my lunch companion who is vegetarian.

Was having coffee with my FRIEND who happens to be a girl - and then made me pay for the whole thing they didn’t even ask did we want to split it! This is demeaning to both my friend and me. Woodrow Wilson endorsed women’s suffrage! He voted for it in New Jersey!

Here for a special corporate event and the service was excellent, as were the small bites. Interesting design with various levels upstairs and down, but the decor is imaginative!

Shocking experience. Came in for a coffee into an empty restaurant with other people drinking only coffee. We were sent away by the employee saying they’re fully booked at 12 (this was 11.30am). We said we’ll be gone by 12, and he said “darling, I’m saying no”. Never quite experienced anything like it. Said employee in photo. What a shameful representation from a clearly disgruntled employee for an otherwise exceptional brand.

The cheesecake was absolutely delicious! However, the takeaway experience was disappointing. I was handed an open box in a rushed manner and had to ask for a bag. Even then, the server simply handed me a small bag without packing it properly. Not the level of service I’d expect from a nice place like Paradise Café. A little more care in presentation and customer service would make the experience much better.

The food is delicious, but the portion size is a bit lacking. The atmosphere is good and the interior decoration is quite innovative.

Very patronising staff “Tanya” I asked if they had a burger available to be told “no we are a restaurant….maybe try McDonald’s” rude and abrupt. Won’t be returning

Flavourful if overpriced food. Unforgivably, they charged us for a pot of hot water, which I think is disgusting given much more affordable restaurants do not gouge their customers this way. The cafe itself is kitschy, swanky and looks cool. It was nice to go for the novelty but I will not return and will tell anyone it is overrated.

Everyone should experience this restaurant, beautiful food but Janet was the cream of the crop, such fun and made it a better experience for us all

The food was lovely but the waiter at reception was extremely rude. We arrived at the restaurant on time but instead of being greeted by welcome to the restaurant it’s a harsh and emotionless “we need the table at 12.30pm”. When food and drinks were served we thanked but in response was his cold face and not acknowledging us. It’s a shame as the atmosphere was good but service was horrible. Management needs to better train their staff.

I picked this place off Google maps, looking for somewhere between London Bridge and Liverpool St Stations and near Spitalfields for an exhibition. Really pleasantly surprised by the results. Our waitress was really lovely, helpful and friendly. The food was interesting and tasty. Not what I would have anticipated for Australian at all. The decor is lively and fun. Would happily return if in the area again! 👍🏻😁

Came here for a wedding anniversary with our small cavapoo. Mainly choose this please as it was advertised as dog friendly. In reality there are 2 tables that you are allowed to choose from with a dog, of course the 2 worst table in the restaurant. The host and hostess were not accommodating at all. However our waiter (he said it was his second day) was a breath of fresh air after such an unpleasant welcome, he is the biggest asset to your team. You have to decide if you want to be a dog friendly place or not at all, the current way is just disappointing for everyone.

Banana prawns excellent. Steaks good too. Service inattentive. Men’s loos smell foul. Please put in proper urinals.

Such a great evening at Paradise Green, we were served by Janet and she was amazing, she was very helpful and accommodating with the bottomless drinks, she also joined in with us dancing, she was so much fun and we would definitely come back.

Paid £100 for two small plates of food and a starter. Very small pieces of monkfish and overcooked prawns. Very good presentation but flavour was lacking. Grossly overpriced for relatively low quality food that wasn’t cooked properly. Staff were excellent as is the decor/presentation. Would not return far better options nearby.

The waiting staff were professional and lovely and the venue is ok. However the beef fillet they served was murdered by the cook - and I didn't think it was possible to do kill something that had already been through an abattoir. It was an aged fillet so should have been good, but they cut it into small slices and poured some horrible sauce on top and served it cold to luke-warm. The venue should be ashamed of itself. That's not how you serve a good fillet unless your literally trying to pass off a mutton for lamb (as the saying goes).

All about average for a city centre eateries in London. "Crispy" prawns wren't, sirloin steaks rather tasteless. Nothing awful, but nothing noteworthy either.

The food was okay, but I've been to better lunch spots. The service was good except that we did have to leave quite soon. Given that we were in a bigger group of 7, we thought we might have our table longer than an hour. The atmosphere was very chilled and relaxed which was nice. Loved the presentation of the food, but the taste wasn't anything spectacular.

Super cute cafe, super delicious food, lots of choice, clean, friendly staff. Reasonably priced, good portions, food came very quickly. Very nicely decorated! Clear recommendation!! There are different locations, but the map is always the same! Be sure to reserve a table in advance! Very crowded but still quiet!

Amazing food but it took them forever to serve us

Have been to other branches for brunch which I've always enjoyed, but went to Paradise Green for Dinner. The food was tasty enough but we were disappointed by the portion sizes especially for the price. We both ordered the winter risotto which was served in a very shallow bowl and could be eaten in about 6 spoons. Service was a bit slow and we had to ask for water twice. Expected better for the price.

Went with a large group after work, expected it to be rammed but plenty of space and the restaurant gave us the option to pre-order so when we go there the service was super fast and great food.

I pre-booked for a weekday work lunch. We arrived on time for 1 .45pm to 100 Bishopsgate, where a hostess who could not possibly look more bored or uninterested told us to go outside and round the back to our table. I had to ask her twice to repeat again as no context was given as to why we would need to leave the place. Eventually she bothered to explain that the place has ‘another half’ at the other side of the building. Would have been good to know in advance. We went round the back where no hostess was there. So i waved for help, told them again why we are there (by then it was the 5th time i had to say we had a booking). Then we were showed a corner table. And then ignored for about 10mins without anybody asking if we wanted to order. After 10mins the lets call her waitress came over and ask ‘what do you want to order’. Given it was our first time, nobody explained the menu talked to us about options or gave us a chance to ask questions. So i said we wanted to order drinks first. So she asked again ‘what do you want’. I told her since we havent seen the drinks menu we dont know yet. Then she reached across the whole table to show me a drink menu that was in front of the only empty seat at our table. So ordered the first things we saw on it with no help or guidance. We also ordered starters again with no help or guidance. Then she left and 20 mins later somebody else showed up with our orders. The food was mediocre at best. But as we were finishing our starters we wanted to order mains to save time. So I waved about 10 times at all the waiting staff, all ignored us. Then our dedicated waitress went to the next table and see me waving at her she said and i quote ‘please wait i am with a customer’. Had i not been that disappointed and angry by then i could have thought it was funny how much this poor waste of space of a person did not speak English nor knew what service was. She eventually came over and repeated ‘sorry i was with a customer’. So i explained to her that we, I, and everyone else sitting at the tables are customers. Dont think she understood the sarcasm or the words. We eventually ordered again with no help or guidance. The last straw was that she left the starter plates on the table until the mains were brought. And when she eventually realised that we finished our drinks she asked ‘do you want another one?’. Infuriating! Somebody train staff on how to service! In city where there are so many choices the service would have saved the place as the food was also nothing write home about. We will definitely not be back. I did not even bother taking more photos. An absolute no for me.

The whole experience was amazing, would highly recommend! The value for money in London is hard to come by and the service was excellent, particularly want to say thank you to our waitress for the evening, Janet, who went above and beyond to make our friend’s 30th birthday special! The singers are all so talented, will definitely be back!

Despite the location, atmosphere, and decoration, the presentation of the brunch we had did not satisfy me at all. The taste was mediocre, and surprisingly, the bread was stale. I expected more, especially considering the price wasn’t low.

Good food! Good atmosphere thanks to the live singers! Booze was on tap…literally. They bring out these cocktail-filled pitchers of biblical proportions, and you just pour straight into your glass. Staff were super helpful and very friendly. What’s else can you ask for on a night out with friends?

Great place near London’s insurance sector’s hub. We went on a business lunch and were disappointed when we couldn’t get a table for two in the front, or back of the restaurant but were seated on the bar table/chairs but to our shock, the place was packing by 1 PM (hence recommend reserving in advance). The back of the restaurant has a lot more seating. We had the crispy Australian banana prawns (amazing), the panko fried halloumi (very good), house cured Yuzu gin salmon (good). For the mains we had the BBQ monkfish skewers (amazing) and the dry aged sirloin (very good). Overall, our lunch was great and really appreciate it!

Had a very nice evening here. The food was good - in particular the Miso Aubergine. We were also surprised to find out that some of the staff performed/sang after 8pm which was great fun. The only reason it's not 5* is that I tend to reserve that for a places I would like to go back to again. While it was all nice and there were no issues, i just can't imagine I would. Maybe I am still incredulous that anyone would try and change £25 for a chicken parm; central London or not.

The plates/dishes were nice and tasty. However, we have been really disappointed by the attitude of the manager. We made a booking to have a brunch. During the booking process and on the reservation confirmation email, it was specified that for the "bottomless brunch", the time span was 90 minutes to enjoy it. However, for the "à la carte" brunch, nothing was specified. Therefore, we ordered a first round of dishes and drinks and waited a bit after finishing them. We then ordered a second round or drinks and were about to order a second round of dishes as well but the manager told us that we had to leave within 5 minutes. We did not receive any notice beforehand. He would not admit that there were no mention of maximum time for a standard brunch and just kept on repeating that we had to leave in a rude and unprofessional way. We just received our second hot drinks, which we had to finish extremely quickly, almost burning ourselves. If you want a tasteful brunch, go there. If you want some good and relaxed time on a Saturday morning to enjoy a tasteful brunch, don't. Ridiculous attitude of the manager, wouldn't recommend.
