The staff were great and so was the food. What a fantastic restaurant!

Overrated - cafeteria feeling - but pricey. The service felt like being on a conveyor belt as we were almost pressed to finish our meal because of a subsequent booking. Food and wine were good but that was about it.

Great place to catch up with friends, cannot fault the food the steak is amazing. The service team are very professional and knowledgeable about the food, et cetera do anything I would say at lunchtime it can be very noisy. 

Good food and service was also fine. However, an included service charge of 13% is ridiculous when paying £120/person for the food/drink.... No-one gives me a tip for just doing my actual job. The team were fine, and so I gave a 10% tip. Come on Gaucho... behave!!

I went to eat with 3 of my friends ,meat which was spectacular and the services from Africa our host was really good,really nice experience!!

We had a large table of 15 for a family Xmas dinner and were given a private room. It was fabulous to have the space and be able to move around and mix a little during the evening. The food was great (on the whole). Importantly the steaks were delicious, and great starters, chips need some work! The staff and service were super friendly and efficient, we'll definitely return.

The service was really professional and welcome in. Feeling like home. The communication and the service of our waitress was really professional. The food and wine was really exquisite, the steak was full of flavor and the wine was very balance with the steak and the aroma was delightful. Really recommend to eat here, can’t wait for the next visit

Great food, attentive but not intrusive service, and a great vibe. It’s not the cheapest steak diner, but it’s definitely one of the best steaks you’ll ever eat. Definitely recommend for a special occasion.

It’s a steak restaurant. When I order a filet don’t serve me the tail end folded over at the same price. Was Cooked ok but very little sear and no better than a gastropub. Service was slow and lacking, yes it’s Christmas but that’s no surprise or at least apologise for the wait / inattentiveness. Could barely get a drink and honestly for the price I’d rather have eaten in Wetherspoons around the corner.

Superb quality of the steak, very good service - only negative is that the restaurant requires better extract ventilation to stop kitchen smell.

Decent grub below one of the best Wetherspoons in london, nothing more satisfying than yamming down a steak in the former gold vaults of the Bank of England. Went for a work lunch, nice set menu, lots of variety.

I am a private chef for wealthy individuals and I organise private events using high quality meat so I am very fussy when it comes to eating steak in restaurants. The Chateaubriand we had this evening was sublime, cooked rare to perfection, the wine list is interesting and we went for an Italian pinot noir. The Chimichurri was nice, it would be perfect if a bit more vinegary. Nice cozy atmosphere and the restaurant is elegant, but casual. Professional staff, Ruben served me and my girlfriend and his service was flawless. We will definitely go back again to try different meat cuts. 5 stars well deserved

I love the food anaesthetics upon arrival. The staff are very friendly. One thing I will say the châteaubrion was absolutely mouth watering and perfectly prepared. I would recommend to any one I was recommended by a friend and very thankful for it . Very accessible and great menu

I was really disappointed with my Gaucho experience.. the steak wasn’t bad but all the sides were really bad.. and for me the sides/accompaniments are what complement the steak.. the chips were cremated so I sent them back and they bought out some new ones that were equally burnt. The other sides we had weren’t great and the starters weren’t the best. Cheesecake Desert was nice though. Service was also slow.

Great option for a business lunch meeting!

If Gaucho was an airline, I’d be a card carrying frequent flyer at Gaucho! Despite the busy lunchtime, there was a warm welcome, I was promptly seated and served, with a perfectly cooked steak and wonderful staff at the establishment. In New York & Chicago it was Smith & Wollensky for steak, but in London, it can only be Gaucho!

Very nice restaurant located in the basement, the employees are very smiling and attentive to the smooth running of the meal. The starters and dishes tested were good as were the desserts. The cooking of the meat is well respected. Special mention for the salmon tartare tacos, empanadas, stracciatella and chessecake pasta. The service was top notch, thanks to Africa and Valériane.

Good as always, steak wasn’t as good as last time, but service and starters all good as usual!

Went with friends, no booking, receptionist was very accommodating, Nacho was amazing gave us a booth, Chateaubriand is fantastic perfectly grilled, we had broccoli and mac and cheese with bacon on top! Carla from the bar was amazing, best Margarita I had in the Bank/Liverpool Street area! Great little gem of you are looking for good food and good drinks, heads up is in the basement so no view but totally worth it!

What an amazing experience, from the welcoming drinks at the bar with Carla to the outstanding service provided at the table, everything was perfect, don’t forget to try chimi margarita. As long as Felicia is there, this place is golden!

Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Myself and a group of 4 friends rocked up without a booking and Felicia (think she was the manager) was very accommodating and found us a table within 10 minutes although the restaurant was full. Ruben our waiter was very knowledgeable and recommended great starters (provoleta, empanadas, prawns) we shared a chateaubriand as we were pretty full but it was just the perfect amount. Didn’t try the wines, but the chimichuri margaritas made by Carla were divine. Cannot recommend more!!!

Went out for dinner with the corporate team and the waiting staff are professional and well informed. Came and explained the cuts and suggestions. Steaks were cooked to perfection with just the right seasoning and paired with a lovely red wine. Would recommend to any carnivores out there.

Amazing experienced, the staffs are very knowledgeable, very friendly. Manager visited our table and made sure that we having amazing time while dining. I loved being here.

We went for an anniversary gathering & paid for a set menu which was a disappointment. For our starters we were given 3 very small tacos to share between 4 people.. we were also given 3 mini pies to share between 4 people too. For the mains They just put a plate with different cuts of steak & then placed 1 mac&cheese (which is tiny), 1 fries & 1 green salad between 4 people too. The fact that we had to share such small amount of food between 4 was awkward. The meat was just placed on a plate for us to pick off. The dessert was a meringue that was extremely small & overly sweet. The small bowl of dessert was also to be shared between 2… We had an amazing time celebrating with friends & the service was good. But the food itself was not worth the price tag at all.

I spent my birthday recently at Gaucho and what an experience! The most delicious steaks, incredible wines and the vibes to match. Our server Africa was amazing from start to finish, guiding us through the food and drinks menu like an absolute professional. She was very attentive, kind and warm. Would head back in a heartbeat. I went for dinner with my colleagues last night and the atmosphere and food were sensational! Our server Africa was even better she was so attentive, friendly, polite and efficient. Africa is definitely an employee you don't want to lose. Honestly some of the best service I've ever had in London. The starters were so good to I almost didn't have room for my main. We will for sure be back again everything 10/10.

We went for dinner last night we were served by Joe. He recommended “Tira de ancho” which was an excellent main and a great dessert afterwards we had a wonderful time. I am definitely going back his service was excellent. The experience was exceptional.

We stayed at the Club Quarters Hotel London City above this restaurant for 2 nights on vacation the week of September 23rd. Being so busy and getting in late both nights we went to this restaurant both nights. The first night was GREAT! Food was very good and the beer wonderful. Both nights we ordered off the A La Carte Menu and both nights we had Provoleta and Truffle Mac & Cheese. Both nights they were very good. I can't say that about our waitress on the second night. Different waitress the first night, very nice. I believe she was Italian and should find another line of work. I had to ask a second time for a second beer. When she took our order she seemed to questioned that we were only ordering 'Starters' and 'Sides' and not a main course. Maybe because the 'Starters' and 'Sides' were very good as our main! I will say the first night we were there it was not crowded at all and quiet. Not the second night. It was very crowded and very loud. After all our glasses and plate were taken away, we sat for another 10 minutes before our waitress came over to ask if we wanted our check, not if we wanted desert. We took the check. I would dine here again if I'm in London again because the food itself was very good but not if we had the same waitress and if it is very crowded and loud. For the hotel above I rated the breakfast served here and it was awful. The scrambled eggs were a soggy mess and at least there was 1 cereal to choose from!

I recently visited gaucho Steakhouse for dinner with friends, and I was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was upscale yet cozy, with soft lighting and elegant decor that created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed evening. The service was top-notch, Sylwia was attentive and knowledgeable, making excellent wine and meal recommendations. For the main course, I went with the ribeye, which was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, just as I like it. The sides of truffle mac and cheese and humita were also delicious. Though the prices were on the higher end, the quality of both the food and service made it worthwhile. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an excellent steakhouse experience.”

Great place with an amazing service and in great location. Went there for a dinner with family to celebrate birthday. We tried most of the starters and had fillet stakes and burger, everything tasted delicious. Desserts were amazing too. Food was prepared quickly, we didn't have to wait long to be served. There is a great variety of dishes to choose from and a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Highly recommend visiting.

Cozy atmosphere, super friendly staff, delicious, very high quality Argentinian steaks and burgers, fantastic desserts (the cookie baked directly in the pan with vanilla ice cream was our absolute favorite). On our first visit, we were presented with various steaks on a board and their quality and special features were explained.

Last week, we went with a group of 10 people, and our guests were from abroad. They were very pleased. The atmosphere was great. I had a medium-rare steak, and I really liked it. It was cooked exactly the way I wanted. The restaurant manager, Ms. Alicia, personally attended to us, and I would like to thank her very much.

I don't know why so many people have developed a negative attitude to Gaucho (judging by various reviews across their restaurants). I've been to this one twice in the last three months and I was really impressed on both occasions. Both times I've visited have been Fridays and the restaurant was very quiet. During the summer holidays on my last visit, there was only one other couple there for lunch. Food and service was excellent. The steaks were really tasty and nicely cooked. Deserts were pretty good too (with the added touch of a birthday message!). It is quite pricey, but then what isn't these days. Good place to go for a special occasion.
