10/10 amazing place , amazing food

Isabel tries to present itself as a high-end restaurant, but our experience showed it falls far short of those standards. The service was rushed and unprofessional, with staff repeatedly pushing us to finish our meal and even bringing the bill without us requesting it. When we raised concerns, the response was dismissive and insincere, offering two glasses of champagne as compensation for a poor and uncomfortable experience. Isabel lacks the professionalism and hospitality expected from a restaurant attempting to position itself as upscale. We were thoroughly disappointed.

They take advantage of 240 bars, just for the sake of sitting at the bar

We had an amazing experience at the bar because of Marc who was the star of the night. Thanks to him and isabell staff! The drinks and food were top tier and the atmosphere was amazing! The music there also is amazing perfect for after hours

This place was a good place to come however it's not any more full of female escorts and overpriced drinks and as a food critic and food lover you are better off eating elsewhere as the food is very cheap at one point I thought it was a microwave meal (nothing wrong with it) but not if you are paying that kind of rate. From the doorman to host lately they are just rude maybe because they are on a minimum wage I understand but this is career they chose however if you flash them cash all of a sudden they are nice and yet table open up if you don’t have reservation. What a joke and they say money kind bring happiness to poor souls! AVOID coming at ISOBEL I know it’s Isabel but who cares this place it is brothel and there must be some kind of money laundering that’s occurring surely. The service it is really bad in here and if you are respectable person you would not want to be seen here and only found out last night after we were told no reservation no entry however my frien flashed the money he had won at casino and all of a sudden we were in as he paid the doorman and host we were in and I thought it’s nice etc 5 minutes in I left simply what I saw which didn’t sit well with me full of escorts offering their services etc and they were tipped someone whom we tipped to get in so surely this place is BROTHEL avoid at all cost. THIS PLACE IS TOURIST TRAP FOR ARABS AND RUSSIANS hence the girls cater whom are there as escorts.

120 quid cover charge per person after 10 pm if one wants to eat…

Me and my colleagues were served by Martha and she was amazing..!! She recommended us the best dishes and made sure we were well looked after!! Definitely coming again!!

What a great place Isabel can be, love the design of both rooms and the central bar island is an amazing idea. Kyell at the door always make my friends and myself feel very welcomed, better than most bar/nightclub I know off. Beatrice, one of the host at the entrance always remember us and approach us to offer help with our coats. The staff at the bar, Chanice and Vincenzo upstairs and Federico downstairs go the extra mile to make sure we are satisfied with our drink choice (even for water) and do their best to understand what we like and try to surprise us. I was a bit worried about the crowd but was pleasantly surprised by the mix and how fun people were, good filtering at the door. Not forgetting the security, especially Hassan! We'll be back!

The food is good, the atmosphere is not acceptable

Kyell en la puerta siempre hacen que mis amigos y yo nos sentimos muy bienvenidos, mejor que la mayoría de bares / discotecas que conozco. Beatriz, una de las anfitrionas en la entrada siempre nos recuerdan y se acercan a nosotros para ofrecer ayuda con nuestros abrigos. El personal del bar, Chanice y Vincenzo arriba y Federico abajo hacen un esfuerzo adicional para asegurarse de que estamos satisfechos con nuestra elección de bebida (incluso para el agua) y hacen todo lo posible para entender lo que nos gusta y tratar de sorprendernos. Estaba un poco preocupado por la multitud, pero me sorprendió gratamente la mezcla y lo divertida que era la gente, buen filtrado en la puerta. I've had many great nights in Isabel for dinner, drinks and the club. However I'm not sure what has happened lately with the door staff. The men on the door are extremely rude and unwelcoming and turned us away on a couple of occasions because we didn't have a reservation when the venue is half empty. We always used to be able to turn up drinks and be greeted by professional well mannered staff. The attitude is disgusting when previously there was a lovely friendly lady on the door. Isabel seems to only now want to let in Middle Eastern clientele and not English. It's very dissspointing as this used to be an excellent classy venue. I will now take my custom elsewhere due to poor attitude of door staff.

I was a regular client at Isabel. Now, they have a rude doorman, that does not allow me to go there without the reservation. Even though the place was not busy, he turned down many people at the door. That was on 26/11/2024. Does he own the place to slow the business down like that? Many places in Mayfair shut down, if he continues this strict reservation policy, you may consider generating a better business and replace the strict doorman!

I visited Isabels in April for my birthday and had an amazing time. The staff were friendly, attentive, and fun. I was always happy to visit again and have the same experience or better. I walked in today to celebrate and have a few drinks, and we were told all tables we're reserved, and we would have to stand at the bar to have our drinks. As we walked out and spoke to the front desk, we asked whether we needed a reservation and were told that it's first come, first serve. Which baffled us as 80% of the tables were free and available. I'm absolutely shocked at this. I've travelled the world and have never been treated in this manner. I have to say the service has taken an absolute nosedive. Not impressive, Isabel. I think you need to review your service and policies because this is not the one. Shocking

My friend and I arrived for a drink and were asked if it would be ok to sit at the bar. We agreed of course. Arriving at the bar (having walked through the almost empty restaurant) we were told that the two empty chairs were reserved but we were welcome to stand right next to them. Or use them but be ready to vacate them and stand once the other guests arrived. I explained that I didn’t want to stand, of course, and asked whether we could sit at one of the empty tables (80% of the tables were empty). The answer was “no” because they are only available for dinner. Appalling reception and service…

I recently visited Isabel Mayfair for a girls’ lunch after a morning out, and the experience mostly lived up to its upscale location. The interior was elegant and thoughtfully designed, creating a chic yet relaxed atmosphere. Service was efficient and attentive without being overbearing. We ordered à la carte—starters, mains, and a few drinks. While the presentation and flavor of all dishes were good, the mains definitely offered better value, with more generous portions (I’d particularly recommend the “Squid Ink Black Rice”). In contrast, some of the starters felt a bit underwhelming for the price point —like the prawns, which were halved, leaving us with just four prawn. However, the tuna and steak tartare were more substantial and well-balanced! Similarly, the drinks were good, although, in my opinion, the price point is more justified by the setting and location of the restaurant rather than the drinks themselves. Overall, if you’re looking for a serene lunch in a beautifully decorated setting, Isabel’s is a solid choice.

Great bar with lots of atmosphere and lovely staff. The bar got a little busy at times so ordering drinks could take a little time, but the staff are very professional and friendly. The club downstairs is very cool too, great music and busy crowd. Worth going to and experiencing.

We had a very tasty dinner and the atmosphere is very lively. We were well looked after by the team. The only let down is the drinks are overtly expensive, even by Mayfair standards. The wine list starts at £75 a bottle and a gin & tonic is £30. Thats nuts!

Oysters were some of the worst id ever had. Service was terrible, never got a refil on my tea and the bus boys would approach the table and set down the dishes in the wrong spot and then loudly ask "tuna taratare?" As if it was an applebees. The gristle on the steak was uncuttable with a knife. The bill ended up being £1200, would never return

Absolutely loved my girls night at Isabels. The food was unreal!! The portion sizes were very good and loved every dish - the teriyaki chicken was my favourite! The vibe was really cute aswell, perfect for a girls night out. The toilets upstairs are beaut, really instagrammable if you want a cute picture. Superb restaurant with lovely warm ambience. Very relaxing vibe with attentive waiters. Food is excellent with vegetarian options. Fish was delicately fresh. Hearty desserts. Love the outside seating area for after dinner drinks/coffee on plush velvet seating benches. Great for relaxing after some Bond Street shopping. Parking further down on meters or the NCP near Cessoniss.

Top service and attentive stuff. The dinner was amazing! Starters are very generous with portions I was nearly full even before the mains came through. The main courses arrived hot and tasty, all sorts of meat for everyone to try and enjoy. Great girls night out or a romantic date!

The service was top-notch, and the staff was very attentive. The dinner was outstanding! The portions for the starters were so large that I was nearly full before the main courses even arrived. The mains were served hot and were packed with flavor, offering a great selection of meats for everyone to enjoy.

The indoors decoration, the vibe and the toilets are great. The service is alright and the food very good. The outdoor sitting for quick cocktails is nice as well.

Cheap place .. I came one night they said you should make reservations before at door , them when I call other day to make reservations they said we are a walk in place we don’t make reservations, and when we came at the door again they said we are fully booked you should make reservations .

Very good restaurant in Mayfair. Good service, good quality, nice place and good atmosphere.

Came for our anniversary and came out feeling a bit overwhelmed by the whole experience, in an unsatisfactory way. Food tasted quite average and overpriced for what you’re paying for. Service was quite poor. As soon as we would finish the food the plate was taken away. Felt like it was forced for us to stay there and got the feeling they wanted us to leave. Cocktails were quite average. The whole ascetics however was quite nice. Wife loved the toilet vibe hence the 100 pictures.

Have visited Isabel many times and enjoyed fantastic food and service. Alain is a Maitre D extraordinaire, who is very well appreciated in London hospitality and some of these negative reviews do not reflect at all the person he is.

I’ve never seen a manager as rude as the manager in this restaurant. His name is Alain Bartel. He didn’t only keep interrupting us, he literally called my friend uneducated. Never going back and would never recommend it to anyone.

Maitre' D Alain is such a polished professional - always greeting guests with warmth and charm and the most accommodating and friendly front of house man in Mayfair. I always go to Isabel Mayfair since more than 3 years, but I recently visited it and was extremely disappointed with the service. The manager (Alain Bartel) was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He called me and my friends “uneducated” This experience has left a bad impression, and I will not be returning. I also wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

I recently visited [isabel] and had a very disappointing experience due to the behavior of the manager, Alain Bartel. His conduct was extremely unprofessional and rude. During my visit, he made inappropriate comments and treated us disrespectfully. His actions were not only unprofessional but also blatantly racist, which made the entire experience very uncomfortable. I believe no one should have to endure such behavior, and it reflects poorly on the establishment. I hope the management takes necessary actions to address this issue. I’m never returning to this restaurant nor recommend it to anyone

Mixed reviews here so was a bit concerned about going initially, but my experience from the warm welcome to the end was fabulous. Maitre D / reception staff very professional, food delicious and dining room simply beautiful with a great buzz. Personally couldn’t fault atmosphere, service or food and would recommend for a special night out

Very rude, racist manager his name was alain bartel. i wont go back again to this restaurant even though i used to go there from very long time ago. The worst customer service I’ve experienced. Customers should be treated in a better way. I would never recommend it to anyone.

I visited this restaurant and had a very unpleasant experience. The manager was extremely rude and even went as far as to call us uneducated. The atmosphere was far from welcoming. Due to this experience, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this place to anyone.

I have never experienced such a bad behavior from a restaurant manager in my life. When we politely asked for a table, the manager not only refused us but did so in the rudest manner possible. He shouted at us, which was shocking and completely uncalled for. To make matters worse, his behavior was blatantly racist. It's disgraceful that in this day and age, someone in a customer-facing role would act with such hostility and prejudice. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place. No one should have to endure such treatment!!

If google allows zero stars I would give this place a MINUS one star. Absolutely the WORST customer service on this planet. Racist, ignorant, childish and flat-out stupid behavior from not only a staff member but a MANAGER. The funny part is that there was no initiation for this bad service. I guess they’re trying to find the stupidest way to lose customers. Literally a joke.
