Pachamama Bar & Kitchen in City of London, Westminster

Really disappointing, heard great things about the food, unfortunately the pace at which dishes came out made this a difficult tasting menu experience to keep up with. Within 5-10 minutes four of the tasting menu dishes were slapped onto the table. Within no time, clearly seeing we are not finished with the initial courses, the final 3 main course dishes are brought to the table, at this point we've barely had time to finish the initial set of dishes. I politely asked the waiter whether they could hold off on serving the remaining dishes till we've finished with what's on the table. Unfortunately, within 5 minutes he returns saying the next 3 dishes are getting cold and he has to serve them now... He then proceeds to remove the dishes we haven't finished to make space for the new ones (which are absolutely bone cold/dry at this point, and thoroughly unenjoyable). Maybe my expectations are high but I would expect the establishment would hold off and re-serve fresh plates of food once the customer is ready to consume them, especially once the issue is highlighted. There is barely space on the table at this point. In the interests of not making a scene I didn't complain further, but makes things worse as the ceviche is just sitting there, making the fish stringy. Maybe it was an off day but I was left disappointed in the experience, I'm sure if I had a chance to sample the food whilst it was fresh my opinion would change, as the flavours were vibrant. Edit: have reached out to the email stated below twice and received no reply. Disappointing service and clearly being disingenuous in their replies to improve the experience for the customer, do not recommend.

The food in this place was exceptional. There was a pork belly dish we had to order twice. I really recommend the brunch chicken and waffles, the steak and chips with shoestring fries was also so good. Nice cocktails. Staff were super nice and let us try a shot of something fruity- was it Pisco? The burnt cheesecake is to die for and was a generous slice. The only thing is the cost is pretty high and portions a bit small in my view (excluding cheesecake). It was a pricey, but special lunch for two.

This was the second time I visited but I think sadly the last. The food is incredible and definitely worth going if you want amazing flavours. However the second time I went for lunch every course was half the size then the first time I went in December. This was very disappointing, making the food incredibly expensive, for the quantity one got. We left still hungry and a bit hard done by…

Extremely disappointed with our dining experience at this restaurant. The price doesn’t match the quality of the dishes, we’ve waited for more than 50 minutes for our food, and the waiter serving our table was a bit rude. Pisco sour was really good and the restaurant has good vibes, but overall not a good experience

Food quality has significantly decreased I last have been. Incredibly expensive and not worth valeu for money. Unfortunately I believe I will not be coming back as a customer that has been coming here for 6 years, they lost a customer. All dishes were very average the only goodish one was the duck on rice. Drinks were also not very high quality for the price.

Food is really good and service is amazing! I made a mistake when booking the table and they quickly helped me out. A lot of options to share. Best Pisco sour and cheescake !

Had a booking for this evening - I was taking out some clients- after being showed to our table we were forgotten about by waiting staff. After a while we decided to leave the restaurant as we were not being acknowledged by staff. Went to a local restaurant around the corner (Cafe Caldesi) and were treated very well. It shouldn’t be difficult to get the basics right (coincidentally, my wife was at Pachamamma the night before with a party of six and the service was excellent).

Pachamama is always a great overall experience! But please offer a lower priced wine option.

I was impressed with the service. The waiter speaks Portuguese and was very helpful and polite. The food was great. I super enjoyed it.

The staff were super friendly and helpful specifically Mattia when he welcomed us in and took care of us at the end after a little change that was made. All in all the staff were very friendly and the ambience was very nice. The food was good.

Wonderful dinner spot for Peruvian food! Highly recommend the duck on rice and aubergine side dish - can be difficult to make aubergine well and this was sublime. We had some issues with food turning up at different times. However, the waiting staff were excellent in rectifying this and offering us complimentary desserts/drinks accordingly. Will be back!

We ordered a number of dishes and were extremely disappointed in the taste and also prices being charged. This use to be a great restaurant three years ago now we would not go back. Paying £18 for a very small basic salmon dish and £4 for two pieces of bread seems that inflation in this restaurant has got out of control! Other things were quite expensive too. Last but least, it took us asking three times before we actually got the bill.

Great service and fantastic atmosphere. We had the menu, and don't regret a bit. It was great. Definitely recommend it and I will be going back.

My partner and I went for the vegan tasting menu and it didn't disappoint. Every dish was outstanding and delicious, the only problem was that they kept bringing out the dishes before previous ones were emptied so our table ended up very crowded and a lot of juggling had to go on. We only had one problem - we were told at the start of the meal that we had the table for 1 hour 45 minutes. No problem as this is common in London. But we did feel rushed, especially as the food came out so fast. We requested a break before dessert was brought out, which was fine for them. However, being mindful of the time, we completed our meal and asked for the bill. Unfortunately, it took nearly half an hour for us to been seen. In fact, I got up and put my coat on and told my partner I was going to leave if they didn't want our money! At this point we were attended to immediately and told that they had decided that we wouldn't have the time limit as we were having the tasting menu. This information wasn't relayed to us, hence we rushed. It was a very unfortunate end to what had been a lovely meal. It would not stop me from returning though as they did deal with the situation well and next time I know to ask the food be brought out at a slower pace!

A charming hidden gem nestled in the heart of Marylebone. Arriving ahead of our reservation, the staff kindly offered us seats at the bar for delightful nibbles and drinks. The cuisine was superb, with the glazed aubergine and black cod standing out. The decor is delightful, complemented by impeccable service.

Excellent and tasty tapas with great cocktails. Portions are also big enough.

I never write reviews but I had to for this one. This was the best meal I've had out in ages. Such an ace restaurant and loved our waiter too. The food especially the belly pork and the salmon ceviche was amazing. The Pisco sours were fabulous. Great place. I'll be back!

This must be my favourite restaraunt in London. I've been many tines and it's always been amazing. The chocolate desert is to die for.. a perfect combination of soft chocolate with the right hint of chili with the perfect contrast of cream. This restaurant is the only place I eat plantain- I normally detest them but friends ordered them once...I was smitten - so they even make food you don't like into food you adore....staff are really friendly and knowledgable as well.

A first visit for us, but a restaurant to which we intend to return. From the greeting on arrival and throughout our stay the service was very attentive, co-operative (we asked them to slow down delivery of the food as it was all coming together). We went for the tasting menus and were not disappointed.

What a fabulous place! Celebrated my birthday here, certainly made the right choice. The Team was superb! I Loved the tasting menu, and the manager explained a bit more of the history of the place, which made the experience even more enjoyable. And wow, the grazed aubergine blew my socks off. It really is a must- try, thank you to our lovely waitress for all the suggestions. As my birthday treat I had the Peruvian chocolate - my taste buds were ecstatic. Thank you for the special day! Can’t wait to visit again!

The food and service were incredible! My friend and I walked in without a reservation, and despite the place being basically full, we were given the option to sit at the bar. At first, I wasn’t sure about eating at the counter with many other guests, but I’m glad my friend convinced me to give it a try. The bartender was super friendly and took some time to explain the house cocktails to us; the Pisco Sour is delicious, sweet, and citrusy. The star of the evening was the food: our smiley and funny server suggested we try the tasting menu. Make sure you come with an empty stomach because there's a lot of food. The lamb was juicy, tender, and crispy on the outside at the same time—witchcraft! Thanks to the team for accommodating us on a busy night and for the attentive service.

Amazing experience - everything was amazing and perfect

All staff were welcoming and attentive. We got some great food recommendations from them too. The food was delicious. We started with the padron peppers and corn ribs. Both great but the corn was a favourite. We then had the sea bass, salmon and tuna ceviche’s and each were extremely good. We also had the black cod which was succulent and tasty and we had the aubergine which was amazing in both texture and flavour. For dessert we had the churros and a cheesecake. The cheesecake was spectacular and the spiced chocolate that came with the churros went with everything. Drinks were top notch with the sour being a massive hit. Would deffo recommend and will be retuning for sure.

It was truly delicious - great atmosphere, great cocktail menu & a gorgeous setting. So much flavour packed into all the dishes! Definitely recommend! & there are two private dining spaces which would make great spaces for larger dinners/birthday dinners.

The service was incredibly friendly, we had the best person who has only started a week ago and goes out of his way to make us feel welcome and try the newest dishes! The food is so tasty and different, super fresh. Cocktails are to die for also!

We decided Pachamama would be the perfect place for 3 old friends to eat, drink and catch up and we were not disappointed. We had the tuna ceviche which was recommended by our waiter and it was superb as was everything else we ordered. Staff were super attentive, food delicious and the interiors in this place make for a five star dining experience! We will be back.

The service was quite slow but the food was nice, if not a little pricey for what it was....but not as pricey as their virgin bloody marys! Still, despite this, I would return and recommend.

Really enjoy this restaurant and have eaten an reviewed a number of times. Food was excellent as usual but looked like a whole new staff (front of house at least). Previously the staff have always noted that I have been in before and thanked for feedback etc. but that was not the case this time. Food though was super and won't stop me returning.

Tried the tasting menu. A good sample of the cuisine, especially enjoyed the ceviche, aubergines and chicken. From the moment we walked in, we were well looked after by the friendly staff. Even though it was very busy, they made time to be attentive, accommodating and engage in conversation. Really hope this restaurant goes from strength to strength

Great food and venue but what made this place 5 stars was the exceptional service from Penny. She was super knowledgeable on the food and drinks, offered the best recommendations. She also just had a great attitude and made our experience so much better than expected. If you get a server like Penny you will absolutely have an amazing experience here.

Went to Pachamama last night to celebrate a friend’s birthday and had an amazing experience! Thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes we were served, but especially the pork belly and the octopus, and the pisco sours were delicious too. Extra shout out to our server Penny who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time and gave us the best service ever! Will definitely be back.

Marvellous Sunday brunch, great service and delicious food.

I took my partner here for his birthday and the restaurant did not disappoint. The food had wonderful bold flavours - the tequenos, peruvian fried chicken, crispy milk fed lamb, and black cod aguidato were excellent dishes. The cheesecake and the churros were a lovely way to end the birthday dinner. Our host was also truly amazing, tookc are of us the whole night and had the bubbliest personality. Thank you so much for a great night for my partner's birthday :) Definitely one of my top restaurants in London!

I was overall left pretty disappointed by my visit to Pachamama on Friday 26th Jan, having read so many positive reviews prior to the dinner. I booked the chef’s experience online for a special occasion and so was expecting “a rolling style service of a chef’s selection of the very best dishes” for £65pp. However, on arrival we were told this was in fact just the regular tasting menu which was priced at £65pp, whereas online the tasting menu is priced at £57pp. All of the dishes in the tasting menu arrived at once rather than in stages and meant that the food got cold as we slowly worked through them all. The staff were also very keen to take away plates that we were still eating from. The food itself was nice but felt like it was being produced in a factory like fashion rather than being carefully prepared in the way I had expected it to be. I voiced my disappointment to the waitress and she stated that many other guests had also complained about food arriving too quickly and all at once. Not sure I will be recommending Pachamama to others or returning in a hurry.

The music was nice, the pisco sour was super and the cheese cake was nice....the anticuchos were not great....the waiters were sometimes pushy and quick to take the plates away....

Used to be great. This time we got steak and eggs and after 45 minutes they bring a stone cold steak with frigid, hard eggs. To make it worse, manager tries to argue there is a ‘30 minute cooling process’ for the meat after the dish is made. Interesting attempt at a steak tartare …

We had the best time at Pachamama. Every dish was delectable, but the standout was the Octopus. Best octopus I’ve ever had! Service was also incredible, Penny was lovely and made sure we were enjoying our meal. It was also my birthday and she brought out a card and cake at the end which was a lovely touch. Pachamama is now my new favourite restaurant in London!

Absolutely phenomenal! This was my first time dining at a Peruvian restaurant and this one was just stunning in every way. We ordered the tasting menu (meat) which included the Pisco Sour cocktail which was to die for and went so well with the food. The food was super super tasty. The sea bass ceviche was heaven and the sea bass was just ‘melt in the mouth’. The lamb was to die for, it was so tender (and I’m not even a lamb fan). The aubergine was literally the best, I haven’t had aubergine that tasty before. We also ordered extra corn ribs and wow, I can’t even put into words how good they were. I was so lost in the food, I forgot to take more pictures. Highly recommend this restaurant. Everything was perfect. The food, the ambience and the service. I can’t wait to go back.

Nous recommandons très vivement ce lieu, aussi bien pour la nourriture, que les plats, mais et surtout pour l’ambiance au top ! 👌🏽

Had such a great experience at Pachamama. The food was DELICIOUS (we got the tasting menu, as well as some other starters). The sea bass ceviche, pork belly bites, and cod were personal favourites. The staff is lovely and the decor is gorgeous as well. Perfect spot
