Gaucho Grill - Broadgate in City of London, Westminster

Wanted to have a work brunch but they only do a ‘long lunch’ now which really isn’t as good value for money. Overall food was ok, nothing special though as the steak (which is what you go for) was bang average, but was appalled when reviewing the receipt that they charged £11 for water on the table! Service was very slow despite being one of the only people in there and had to ask for the bill multiple times. The long lunch was 55pp but ended up nearly 90pp because of tap water and some shots. Wouldn’t go again

We took advantage of the Gaucho January free 2 course lunch deal at Broadgate branch and it exceeded our expectations. Delicious meal, Good portion sizes and the steak was superb as were the pancakes We had 3 courses (dessert extra) just a jug of water and coffees. The lovely waitress surprised us at the end by not charging us for the coffees. 3 courses and coffee for £8 each. Can't be bad! We will definitely be returning

We managed to secure the Free 2-Course Lunch deal at Broadgate. Whilst I fully appreciate that it is a complimentary meal (plus service and drinks), unfortunately the service was not great. We were waiting for a while for our mains so I tried to ask the waitress who took our order. Before I even said my sentence, she just said "your mains are coming". They didn't arrive until some 10-15 minutes later - took a total of 30-35 mins to arrive. Friend ordered a cuadril al diablo (rump PREPARED with a sticky spicy rub). We were given 3 cuadrils (just rump) and when we raised this, the waitress was adamant there was only 1 rump option the menu. She went to check and realised she got the order wrong. Instead of offering to replace the steak, she simply went to the kitchen and retrieved 3 small pots of this spicy rub for us to dip/put on to the steak... Throughout all this, we received no apology about the delay of our main courses or the wrong order which was very interesting. The entire restaurant was also freezing, it felt like the aircon was turned on full blast in mid-January. Needless to say, we have no plans to go back to the Broadgate branch.

Food was perfect, service was outstanding. Our server Miri was always looking out for us. We had some starters, nice argentinian Steak, few drinks and a dessert. The highlight was the Ceviche! Everything was better than expected! Thank you.

Ci siamo recati in questo ristorante perché avevamo voglia di carne. Purtroppo siamo rimasti delusi dalla qualità del cibo e dal conto sproporzionato anche per qualità . Abbiamo ordinato io una bistecca da 400 gr costo 51£ la mia compagna un filetto da 200gr. La mia carne era dura e cotta male i contorni sona a parte messi in una ciottola senza nessun tipo di impiattamento. Il dolce un brownies al cioccolato per niente buono abbiamo bevuto 2 gin tonic abbiamo speso 171£ Una presa in giro

Staff amazing, don’t like being told as we’re seated they need the table back within 1.30, no issues with this but don’t rush me before I’ve started. Liked being shown the choice of cuts available and them being explained. Steak was burnt on the outside and the fillet was very dry. chips were cold, broccoli cold, drink was warm, not impressed for what we paid.

The welcome was warm and the table location almost excellent :) The food was very good but that’s thanks to the price you pay. The service was good but felt a little rushed. I would recommend for a special evening.

Service was quite poor. We arrived at 13:00 and gave our order 13:15/20. Our starter came almost immediately and at 13:45 they arrived with our main course and actually took my friend’s starter away even though he was still eating it. I had the speciality steak which was totally underwhelming, not worth half what I paid. For a restaurant that charges premium prices they need to provide a better experience

Disappointing visit for birthday lunch with friends. Two wines were unavailable from the list and therefore offered more expensive choices. Asked for a medium rare steak which had to be sent back due to being overcooked. Did take a percentage off bill for this but overall a truly disappointing experience.

El servicio fue impecable!! 👏🏽👏🏽 Starter - The sausages were delightful, its a must (2 pax) + nice dry Argentinian rose 🍷 Mains - We wanted to try something different from what we know the ‘Gaucho’ for, i.e the beef, so madam had salmon & I had chicken, madams’ fish was ok to good, the chicken was well cooked but bit too salty for my taste, but the kiwi sauce was WOW!! Sides - Mac&cheese was ok & we were expecting better for the dauphinoise though.

Birthday meal booked and really enjoyed. Our cosy corner banquette was requested and given, the service was impeccable - Eva was super charming. The food was absolutely delicious and well paced, not rushed, and the birthday dessert with complementary bubbles was the icing on the cake. Such a relaxing restaurant with plenty of space between tables, and a very cool vibe. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Probablemente la peor comida que he tenido en años. El entrante (carne de res) era aceptable. El bistec y los lados era inaceptable en términos de calidad y cantidad. Pensé que había vuelto a tener covid al probar el brownie de chocolate. Literalmente no tenía sabor alguno y luego me dijeron que era vegano. ¿De quién fue la brillante idea de servir un desierto vegano en un restaurante de carnes? No regresará.

Our waiter was amazing but thought it would be a bit more lively, but not there fault there wasn’t many other tables. Thought we booked the brunch but booked the long lunch instead and wouldn’t recommend. Luckily our server was great and made the experience a lot better!

We were very well received from start to finish. The waitress gave us very good advice even if we sometimes had the impression that she was pushing us to consume. The atmosphere of the restaurant was not exceptional. But thank you for your welcome and for the excellent meat!

Had the brunch, starters were tasty. Main was ok, had the steak and chips, wasn't anything outstanding. The dessert I felt let it down. The coconut mango flan was more a Panna cotta and was ok'ish. Friends got the brownie which was dry and the ice cream tasted stale. Drinks were good, service was fine although did take some time to get served initially. Music at times for some reason was turned up and couldn't hear eachother. If it was a party vibe with people dancing then fair enough but it wasn't. Maybe as was Saturday and city branch that it was quiet but lacked a vibe in there, not lively at all.

My company went to the restaurant for a private dining experience. I've never had such a delicious meal in my life. The steak was the BEST steak I'd ever tasted. Thankfully I never had to paid the lunch bill, but it was simply amazing.

Brought my son and other family members here last night as it was his 21st and it’s a favourite restaurant of his. My ribeye arrived as two pieces of fatty meat held together by a strip of unbreakable fat. As far away as you could imagine from the example tray of meat shown off to us when we arrived. No dad wants to kick off on his son’s 21st dinner so I said nothing and just left the pieces of unchewable fat on my plate which got absolutely no reaction from the waitress who cleared the table? Can’t believe this ribeye got past quality control and when you pay over £350.00 for 4 people and a 13% service charge, you expect much better!

My husband and I have just had an impromtu dinner and the most wonderful experience at Gauchos Broadgate. The entire team made us feel so special, and our waitress Miri was outstanding, she was attentive and friendly and so knowledgeable about the food making our visit extra special. We shared the Gaucho Sampler, chips, mash and salad, which was beautiful flavours and cooked to perfection. Followed by the Dulce Cheesecake - you MUST try! Will definetly be back for another visit, customer service is so important and rare so well done to the whole team, you made our day, thank you!

Das Restaurant ist im Untergeschoss und an einem Freitag Abend waren nur 1/3 der Tische besetzt. Vielleicht schreckt das etwas kühle Ambiente im Keller an einem sonnigen Tag doch eher ab. Man kann zwar auch draußen sitzen, aber das Mobiliar wird dem Anspruch an Essen und Service nicht gerecht. Der Service war perfekt, unser Chateaubriand sehr gut, die gewählten Beilagen ebenfalls und der Malbec hervorragend. Einzig der Watermelon Spritz schmeckte überhaupt nicht, wurde dann aber auch von der Rechnung genommen. Wir hatten ein schönes, wenn auch sehr teures, Dinner. 95 Euro für 450g Chauteaubriand haben wir in Deutschland noch nicht bezahlt. Aber in London ist halt alles sehr teuer.

Was over-charged by £71, manager didn’t even offer a voucher or discount - Won’t use Gouchos again

I paid for the £75 long lunch and the £15 bolt on for free flowing drinks and got charged for the sea bass and 2 drinks which should of been included

I celebrated my graduation dinner with family and we had the especial menu to celebrate Gaucho's 30 years and the food was divine. Staff was very friendly and made great food recommendations.

Rosella our server was the most pleasant and accommodating person we have ever had the pleasure of meeting, nothing was too much trouble, she looked after us brilliantly and went out of her way to ensure our evening was exceptional. Including the dining which was as usual first class. Definitely coming back soon.

The experience was good overall. Unfortunately there was a few downfalls. The starters came out extremely quick and the sausage was overcooked (burnt). No one checked to see if the food was ok and the plates were taken away with addressing us. The mains were nice but WELL over seasoned, half way through the steak had to stop to take on water. We also had an additional dish put on our table that we hadn't ordered. I did say we would keep it (as it looked nice) but the waiter just took it away. the desserts were really nice and the non alcoholic cocktails were fantastic.

Went for the three courses for £30 menu. Starters of crab and prawns were delicious. Ordered three steaks for the main and they all had to go back as too tough to eat. Ordered three spatchcock chickens instead but received three breaded steak’s!! Apparently a miscommunication between waitresses! Pancakes were also delicious and manageress was good as she did knock the food off our bill.

One star for a very important reason. I was with a group for a business dinner. As I had a train to catch to travel to see another Customer I asked for my dessert to be served together with my main, so that I could eat it before I had to leave. The waitress brought it in a takeaway container in a paper bag. I can’t eat too late due to my metabolism, but I hoped to eat it on my train journey. The waitress not understanding that a person needs at least a fork to eat a cheesecake, didn’t bother to provide ANY utensils with the takeaway box, despite the fact I clearly stated that I will be travelling. Due to the late time and the hot weather, the cheescake had to be thrown away. Thank you for nothing

Every restaurant in the chain has a consistent offering. Whilst there are other choices, one comes here for the amazing steaks. A great choice of wines, but generally, one is drawn to Malbec. It can be a little noisy at times, so better to be at the side. Staff, as ever, make the difference.

We had the brunch menu. Our server Rosie was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. Food absolutely delicious. Great value for money. House DJ is brilliant. Will definitely be back.

All waitresses we had were fantastic however Paolina was absolutely exceptional! She was very attentive, so much so it felt like she only looked after our table. Our drinks were never empty and as soon as we finished a dish she bought over another. She definitely deserves a raise - we love that girls It was lovely having a DJ I just wish there was more of a ‘vibe’ it could have been the customers that day just weren’t as lively as we hoped. The size of all the sirloin steaks were very disappointing, they were more like the size of back bacon. The rump looked good though and I was very impressed that the chef managed to cook our friend a halal sirloin which actually looked incredible! Overall we had a lovely time and would definitely come back again.

Very average roast dinner. Potatoes and veg utterly tasteless. I suspect the potatoes were frozen. The meat was good. The non roast dinner food was very good. So, do not go there for a roast dinner - there are far better places.

Steak was as always perfect- cheese bread to start was delicious. Service was excellent I’d say a little too efficient… we needed a break between courses to get hungry again !! It felt a tad rushed. But overall a wonderful meal.

This place was wonderful. The food was delicious. The staff very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place for every occasion.

Client we took for lunch ordered well done steak, when it came it was raw had to send back to be re cooked. Boss steak was supposed to be medium it came raw and again had to be sent back. When both steaks came back re done the clients steak lost all flavor and he didn't eat any as did my boss. I ordered the wagyu burger and it was over seasoned and extremely salty. Our waiter did apologise and take discount from our meal but we will not be returning.

Tried Gaucho Brunch on Saturday and myself and my husband got really disappointed. Service was rushed, food and drinks were average nothing special in my opinion. Would not try this again for sure.

2nd time having brunch here, this time for the Latin Experience. It’s £70 PP for free flowing starters, choice from delicious mains and unlimited selected cocktails. All worth the £70p as the cocktails would cost £15-£20 alone usually. The service was 5* with the waitresses constantly topping up your cocktails and very attentive. I didn’t catch my waitress’s name but she was excellent.

They were just perfect and very accommodating, especially as they ordered Halal steak for us.

The food was amazing but the service was extremely slow. The restaurant its self wasn't overly busy but the food came out very slowly. We waited over an hour between starters and main courses then when we came to pay, we had to keep asking for the bill & sit with our coats on to get attention of waiters that we were ready to pay.

A straightforward reasonable offer. Felt like a transaction rather than a personal experience. food was good although took too long to get to the table and as a result the mash and mushrooms were cold. Meat was very good indeed.

Chips are really no good worse than oven chips. Meat okish but dry. Not worth the price tag. Staff and ambience is great. Just not worth the price tag unfort.

The food and atmosphere was amazing but our server was a particularly great part to the experience. She had great knowledge of the menu and cuts of steak, made great suggestions and was warm and friendly. We also really appreciated the glasses of bubbly to celebrate the birthday. A really nice touch. Would really recommend as a place to celebrate a special event.

My husband and i had a great experience at Gaucho's Broadgate. Paulina looked after us all evening and her service and that of the team was impressive and professional. We felt attended to and informed about the drinks and food we were choosing. Paulina assisted me in finding a suitable wine to accompany my meal. The chef made delicious food and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Thanks

A lovely lunch with family, food was super and the service was wonderful, our Polish waitress was knowledgeable and charming.

The food was amazing, although they did forget our chips. But no complaints after that was resolved fairly quickly!

The food was expensive, but exceptional. Steak cooked exactly how I wanted it. Danielle was magnificent and assisted with a birthday cake I had brought in and served it with a smile! 10/10 would recommend.

This is happened a few times now….the general quality of beef at the Broadgate venue has deteriorated. I ordered a 2.5kg Goucho sampler platter. All of the cuts were dry, devoid of flavour and of general poor quality.

Paulina the server was excellent. Food was good but overpriced which is probably why the restaurant was 20% occupied on a lunchtime Plenty of ways for a restaurant to make money but pricing themselves out of the market for what was a regular business lunch is strategically misguided. Given that I only saw 2 members of staff (both were very professional and friendly) one of whom was the greeter, I conclude that the lack of business was not unexpected. Management need to take a good look at themselves and assess whether the direction they are taking the business makes sense.
