Gaucho Grill - Broadgate in City of London, Westminster

Visited for the first time and must say I will definitely be back! The food was amazing and our waitress Violetta did a great job at recommending us a few dishes that were must tries. Will definitely be back!

We had our own private room which was great, our waiter for the night was extremely attentive and knowledgable - highly recommend

All waitresses we had were fantastic however Paolina was absolutely exceptional! She was very attentive, so much so it felt like she only looked after our table. Our drinks were never empty and as soon as we finished a dish she bought over another. She definitely deserves a raise - we love that girls It was lovely having a DJ I just wish there was more of a ‘vibe’ it could have been the customers that day just weren’t as lively as we hoped. The size of all the sirloin steaks were very disappointing, they were more like the size of back bacon. The rump looked good though and I was very impressed that the chef managed to cook our friend a halal sirloin which actually looked incredible! Overall we had a lovely time and would definitely come back again.

Very poor roast dinner. Tasteless roasties (frozen) undercooked vegetables, hardly any gravy and very doughy Yorkshire. Incredibly disappointing meal. Do not go here for a Sunday roast - you will be let down

Very average roast dinner. Potatoes and veg utterly tasteless. I suspect the potatoes were frozen. The meat was good. The non roast dinner food was very good. So, do not go there for a roast dinner - there are far better places.

Steak was as always perfect- cheese bread to start was delicious. Service was excellent I’d say a little too efficient… we needed a break between courses to get hungry again !! It felt a tad rushed. But overall a wonderful meal.

Client we took for lunch ordered well done steak, when it came it was raw had to send back to be re cooked. Boss steak was supposed to be medium it came raw and again had to be sent back. When both steaks came back re done the clients steak lost all flavor and he didn't eat any as did my boss. I ordered the wagyu burger and it was over seasoned and extremely salty. Our waiter did apologise and take discount from our meal but we will not be returning.

Tried Gaucho Brunch on Saturday and myself and my husband got really disappointed. Service was rushed, food and drinks were average nothing special in my opinion. Would not try this again for sure.

We went on Valentine's again, food was excellent as always my only gripe was that it all felt very rushed.

We had a great meal as usual. Service was great and prompt. The overall experience was very good.

2nd time having brunch here, this time for the Latin Experience. It’s £70 PP for free flowing starters, choice from delicious mains and unlimited selected cocktails. All worth the £70p as the cocktails would cost £15-£20 alone usually. The service was 5* with the waitresses constantly topping up your cocktails and very attentive. I didn’t catch my waitress’s name but she was excellent.

They were just perfect and very accommodating, especially as they ordered Halal steak for us.

The food was amazing but the service was extremely slow. The restaurant its self wasn't overly busy but the food came out very slowly. We waited over an hour between starters and main courses then when we came to pay, we had to keep asking for the bill & sit with our coats on to get attention of waiters that we were ready to pay.

A straightforward reasonable offer. Felt like a transaction rather than a personal experience. food was good although took too long to get to the table and as a result the mash and mushrooms were cold. Meat was very good indeed.

Chips are really no good worse than oven chips. Meat okish but dry. Not worth the price tag. Staff and ambience is great. Just not worth the price tag unfort.

The food and atmosphere was amazing but our server was a particularly great part to the experience. She had great knowledge of the menu and cuts of steak, made great suggestions and was warm and friendly. We also really appreciated the glasses of bubbly to celebrate the birthday. A really nice touch. Would really recommend as a place to celebrate a special event.

Great brunch experience although they are very strict with timings and the policy is rolled off like a military operation at the start! Food was great, service was brilliant! Would recommend

My husband and i had a great experience at Gaucho's Broadgate. Paulina looked after us all evening and her service and that of the team was impressive and professional. We felt attended to and informed about the drinks and food we were choosing. Paulina assisted me in finding a suitable wine to accompany my meal. The chef made delicious food and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Thanks

It’s was my daughter’s 21st birthday and she loved everything about Gaucho, we had great time! Service and good was amazing.

A lovely lunch with family, food was super and the service was wonderful, our Polish waitress was knowledgeable and charming.

The food was amazing, although they did forget our chips. But no complaints after that was resolved fairly quickly!

The food was expensive, but exceptional. Steak cooked exactly how I wanted it. Danielle was magnificent and assisted with a birthday cake I had brought in and served it with a smile! 10/10 would recommend.

I’m only writing this review as I have been to this place at least 5 times in Q4 2023 and most recently today. The quality of meat is terrible. Today, we ordered 2kg Goucho sampler. Literally every cut of steak was chewy, no flavour, no seasoning. This is the 3rd meal where the quality of food has been poor. Will be taking my business elsewhere

This is happened a few times now….the general quality of beef at the Broadgate venue has deteriorated. I ordered a 2.5kg Goucho sampler platter. All of the cuts were dry, devoid of flavour and of general poor quality.

Paulina the server was excellent. Food was good but overpriced which is probably why the restaurant was 20% occupied on a lunchtime Plenty of ways for a restaurant to make money but pricing themselves out of the market for what was a regular business lunch is strategically misguided. Given that I only saw 2 members of staff (both were very professional and friendly) one of whom was the greeter, I conclude that the lack of business was not unexpected. Management need to take a good look at themselves and assess whether the direction they are taking the business makes sense.

The glass box bar entrance doesn't do justice to the ambience of the restaurant. The service was very attentive, and our server was already aware and attended a request I had made in advance of our visit without prompt. A good selection of generously cut quality steak were available, our favourite of the night was the churrasco de lomo. The wagyu empanada and scallop starters were unbelievably delicious.

Amazing service. Thank you for helping to host a group of hungry boys, select delicious (great value!) steak dinner (including Halal cut for one of the boys). Food is delicious! Such a treat.

Pleasant staff, good value brunch for London, especially if you're a big drinker 🤣 We were not on a mission, had just three drinks each and would have liked a coffee to round it off. Unavailable at any price... what a ridiculous state of affairs!!

Overpriced while food is quite average, some items (like roasted veg, mashed potato, cheesecake) were below average. For the same money, one can definitely get better.

Wonderful steak as always at Gaucho - this time we shared the selection board. The wine was good (and we received some good advice from the Sommelier). My only issue was that the restaurant had a lot of very drunk people in it - some of which had evidently decided to redecorate the bathroom as part of their visit. Not the restaurant's fault, obviously, but when you're paying a lot for a meal (we were £400 for two) you'd like to think the bathrooms would be reasonable!

Arrived as a party of six and the whole experience was rushed. Our waitress would not give us any space, continually pushing to take the next course order, and forever leaning over us to clear the table. A real need of training required here. As for the food it was not great, it was just steak & chips with very little flavour and certainly did not match all the hype. We were totally underwhelmed with a disappointing, extremely poor value for money dining experience, What a shame!

My first vist and the food was outstanding! My fillet steak was so soft and cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend and will be back

We booked a Gaucho Brunch at £70 a head for 2.30 on a Saturday afternoon. Arrived at 2.15, (2 of the party had issues getting a taxi and we asked if we could push the reservation back by 15 mins but were advised that the venue closed at 4.30, fair enough. This wasn’t their fault). Sat down and our lovely waitress explained about the drinks/meal. Starters were lovely and certainly in abundance but came very shortly after we sat down (before others in our party arrived). Within 20 mins of being seated we were asked for our mains order. 4 of us had steak eggs and chips and 2 had the other steak choice.No option to add any extras such as a salad. Literally as soon as our starters were cleared away the mains were served. The steaks with the egg and chips were no thicker that a slice of bacon. Absolutely pathetic. Chips hard and dry, eggs hard. No salt and pepper on the table or any sauces etc. the quality of the food was terrible and we all sent our ‘steaks’ back. By the time our new meals came back we had maybe 20 mins of our brunch left. Dessert wasn’t much better either. The smallest square of a chocolate brownie (which was so gooey in the middle it had barely been cooked) and small dollop of ice cream. We were reminded that our brunch was due to finish soon at 3.40, 3.50 and last orders were at 4. At 4.10 we were told we had 20 mins left on the table and again reminded at 4.20. By 4.30 our coats were ready and we left. I’d say that we probably had 5 drinks each maximum(some only had 3). Gauchos did remove one of the meals from our bill (we did not request this). But we would have preferred to have a decent meal. Everything felt cheap and incredibly rushed. I still can’t get over the thickness of the steak. This needs to be advertised as a minute steak and the weight given. I expected steak. At least it would level people’s expectations. After all. Gauchos is a steak restaurant! A real shame as this was our works Christmas meal out. I ended up having a McDonald’s on the way home……the burger in that was better! Overall. This review is not aimed towards the lovely lady who was our waitress and you will see from my other reviews I very rarely ever write a bad review as I appreciate how hard things are in the hospitality industry, working in it myself, but this felt incredibly cheap and rushed.

I went there with a business colleague, who was over from the US. The meal was fantastic - the food was excellent, the wine was brilliant and the service was utterly superb.

Food is always fabulous. Delicious steaks, well prepared and cooked to perfection. Service was mixed. Waiting staff was keen to clear the table before everyone had finished eating which is rude.

I truly rate this experience 5/5 Katerina was a lovely waitress and facilitated all our requests no dramas. The food and drinks were out quickly every time with quality aswell. Highly recommended.

Excellent brunch, they are a responsible drinking company, so there were rules, but the drinks flowed and we never felt it was restricted. The service was very good, Cocktails were nice, but not very strong, the Steak was excellent, got a bit noisy towards the end, but would definitely go back again.

Booked a table for 10:30pm, as seated was told kitchen was shutting at 10:45, it was possible to book a table for 11pm, so little confused by this. Whilst ordering starters and mains was asked if we wanted a dessert, couldn’t help feel like was being rushed and hadn’t even got a drink yet. Starters were lovely, steak was less than average, definitely not worth the price. When eating dinner the bill was placed on the table, yet again felt as if we were being rushed out the door. Overall terrible experience, waste of £250 and put me off Gauchos for the foreseeable and certainly won’t be returning to this specific restaurant. Would not recommend

Warm/Cold food. Burnt steak. Not what you expect from Gauchos.

I had a medium sirloin steak which was quite chewy and not the best quality meat. The type of chips that Gaucho Grill has been serving over the years is awful and despite earlier reviews regarding the same, they refuse to change . They need to send their chefs to competitors like Smith & Wollensky to understand what chips they need to serve with their steaks.

Fillet slightly over cooked . Never had this before at Gaucho. Always been spot on in 20plus previous visits.

Overall it was a nice meal. But wouldn’t want to dine there when it is busy. It took 2 hours for a 2 course meals between 2 people and the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. Ambiance was nice and food was yummy. But overall was overpriced given the service. Also side note, it’s ironic they advertise some carbon neutral drinks on the menu, yet they are also proud to let you know all the beef is from Argentina …

Exquisite meal at Gaucho Broadgate. The decor is beautiful and the food was truly exceptional- my partner said it was the best steak he’d ever had. We even received a complimentary glass of champagne as it was our anniversary. Would definitely recommend and will visit again.

The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff are faultless. It was my brothers 18th birthday meal with family over from other countries and we were put in a private room which was greatly appreciated by all. The room was glass and stunning. The waitress who served us was extremely attentive and came and explained the different cuts of meats to us. The food was delicious however, we have had better steaks for half the price, we appreciate it is in the centre of London hence the price increase however some of the price jumps (whispering angel in particular) was ridiculously overpriced. That being said we had a lovely meal with family and the ambience of the evening was brilliant.

Could not fault the steaks but chips were poor, tasted like frozen fast food and poorly cooked. Cookie desert was dry and portion of ice cream with it was tiny, would expect more on a single portion. Service was very friendly but have marked down as waitress forgot our wine with main meal!

My friend and met for lunch and we were welcomed with genuine warmth by our server, Miri, who remembered us from our last visit in June, which was surprising and flattering. We had the lunchtime set menu, which was tasty and good value, if a little modest in portion. But the attention, warmth and great service from Miri added so much to the occasion. She’s just lovely, and we hope she’s on shift next time we go.

A great space for a business meeting, we had dinner and the food was amazing. We wanted to give a special shout out to our host Mari, she superb and made our experience a great one!

Your time slot is 2 hours but food and drink only served for 1.5 hours, so felt very rushed indeed. Main courses arrived while still on our starters. Nice food not great and good choice of drinks if only we had time to consume the 8 beverages allowed. Nice comfortable table and lovely staff. Wouldn't go again simply based on the rushed element. The time slot of 2 hours would be fine and the brunch should be spread across this!

Absolutely excellent service, we were so well cared for throughout the meal. The food was cooked perfectly and to each individual’s satisfaction, we felt the price equated to the quality in both food and the service that we had.

Went for brunch with friends to celebrate my birthday. A few negative reviews on here but for what you pay for it I think it’s good value. The food was very good. We were a bit piggy on the starters and had quite a few servings of sausage and empanadas which were great. We are had steak and chips after which was lovely. The best thing about it was Rosella our server who was amazing, even when the restaurant got busy she didn’t forget about us and got the drinks flowing. Best server on a bottomless brunch I’ve ever had! The only negative I could say is the glasses of wine etc are really small so I felt like we were asking for more drinks really frequently. I’d probably rather pay more and be given a proper measure but we still enjoyed the experience. Massive thanks to Rosella!

We had a lovely birthday brunch at the gaucho. For what you pay I thought it was really good. The food was very nice - we were a bit piggy with the starters having quite a lot of sausages and empanadas. We all had steak and chips which was also really nice. The best things about the experience was Rosella who was amazing and took good care of us, even when the restaurant got busy. Best service I have had at a brunch like this. To clarify, I love Gaucho normally and have visited a number of these around the country. The issues that we had were as follows: Staff were woefully prepared for a relatively small number of tables occupied. I sat down, was asked if I wanted Still or Sparkling water, chose Sparkling and was brought still. When I spoke to the waitress - she bluntly said "well she told be you ordered Still". She (EWA) was also really difficult to understand. There was a trainee male waiter who was just left to serve us our food. Starters - My scallops and my lunch guests starter were both placed in front of me. Then the main course arrived and he insisted in handing us our steaks without first clearing the table of our starter plates. I have really no idea why he was so inept, but he shouldn't have been serving customers without proper training. The other staff asked us about 3 times whether our food was good - and after being asked to bring another drink, forgot to do so and needed to be prompted. The Hawksmore is just better I'm afraid. Don't waste your money here. As I was with my guest, I really didn't feel that I could make a fuss about the service charge that was levied - but begrudge paying this in this case. I will not be returning and will be making sure that none of my colleagues or business contacts do either.

Outstanding service with unbelievable food. Pricey but worth it.

Menu has changed from the electro brunch and it was so, so disappointing in comparison. 40 minute starter rule was weird and having 1 main each again felt weird. Steak and eggs were honestly dreadful as well. Overall super disappointing experience and nowhere near the standard that Gaucho used to have with brunch. Drinks were also incredibly weak as well but I understand why so not a huge deal.

Waiter took our food order before our drinks arrived - Drinks arrived after our starters. Service very quick but that meant we were done within an hour, would have appreciated a more relaxed pace to make the most of our evening
