Wonderful place to visit, loved the food and the coffee was amazing. We felt welcome and the service was great. Im gluten and dairy free and the ladies were very knowledgeable about what they had on offer. I’ve rarely seen such a wide selection of cakes, although not much choice of gluten and dairy free. However, the owner told me they had lots in the farm shop and was happy to offer me something from there. Next time we visit North Norfolk we will definitely come here again and recommend to others.

Went for afternoon tea yesterday with my mum as a birthday treat and sadly did not have the best experience. We arrived at 2.30pm and there was a 20min delay before getting offered any tea and then there was a further 15min delay before getting the sandwiches. There venue was not busy - only a table of 2 and a table of 10 when we arrived both of which left not long after we arrived so for the majority of the time we were the only ones there. The tables were not cleared so we had to look at messy tables which spoilt the ambiance. The staff were quite rude and kept telling us they were busy - even when we were the only ones there. Near the end of our time they started moving chairs from the room we were in to a different room again making us feel very uncomfortable and forcing us to feel like we needed to move. During our time there we spoke to the Events manager to raise our concerns and were offered 2 free glasses of prosecco. This experience cost nearly £60 but do not feel the experience received warranted this cost sadly. Over the last few years we have used Greyfriars for a number of occasions including my wedding reception and always had great experiences but yesterday's experience has sadly deterred us from wanting to go back.

Lovely ambience and a friendly welcome. We were celebrating a birthday. Our two courses, of tomato soup, cheesy nachos with chilli, followed by fish and chips and grilled haddock with crushed new potatoes with a delightful lemony sauce were really delicious and nicely presented. The three staff who served us were helpful and attentive so all seemed absolutely perfect. To explain my only giving 3 stars is because very unfortunately, there was an overcharge on my bill, which I noticed after payment, and giving a refund led to a further error. All was sorted out eventually but not until hours later. Sincere apologies were given and accepted with a very generous and fair recompense, but sadly it could not dissipate the worry caused, which rather spoiled the day. I will in future alway check my bill carefully prior to payment!

Visited here with friends on Saturday evening. Ordered mains and starter, though the starters ere forgotten about, our mains were brought out and at that point had to remind where are the starters? Halloumi was feeling nice though and bread and salad brought out. We were rushed to finish our starter with plates taken away as soon as we each finished, and asked before one us finished are we ready now for msin course. Main came out I had the chicken beating asked for chips but hot rice, they brought out chips on asking. Again we were rushed to finish despite restaurant only being half full. They tried to take my friends plate although he hadn't finished it. The mixed grill he had was nice though with the description and price £20 would have expected more meat. Overall food was good, but so cheeky to add the service charge onto the bill. Especially given service was so poor. I would have contested it but my friend didn't want a scene. Shame really as if it was not for that would go back.

First time visit with my friend who is a regular at this restaurant. The lunch time menu was either 2 courses or 1 course. We both had 2 courses. I had falafel to start and chichen shish that came with lovely fresh salad and half rice half bulgar wheat, so much flavour going on very tasty. Will definitely be going back again

We really enjoyed our food at the restaurant. We had dinner and breakfast here. The evening meal had a nice choice for both adults and children. The food was really tasty and the service was great. The children’s menu was great value, the main menu was pricey, I would say it was worth it. The breakfast was included in our hotel stay so I would say excellent value for money and really great selection of food cooked to order as well as a great continental selection.

We booked our wedding 4 months ago at the loft. We were supposed to do a tasting and suggested a date. We called, emailed and even contacted them on social media for 5 weeks and no one got back to us. In the end we had to find another venue for 40 people and 7 weeks to go. We have asked for our deposit back and they are avoiding all communication. Be VERY careful before booking at this venue

We visited Daisys in the Park, Radlett, during their recent 50% off food on a Monday promotion. We booked a table in advance as we expected to find the café busy, so we were surprised to find we were the only customers. The breakfast menu had plenty of choices. We went for the Brioche French toast (with vanilla crème fraiche, berry compote, caramelised banana & salted caramel); the Buttermilk pancakes (with berry compote, smoked streaky bacon, crispy honeycombed butter & maple syrup) and a selection of cooked breakfast items. Whilst half-portions of Brioche French toast and Buttermilk pancakes are available, there was no half-portion of the Daisy&Co Full Breakfast for children. Both the French toast and the Buttermilk pancakes were excellent and so was the sausage in the full breakfast. The food arrived after only a short wait. We enjoyed sitting by the wood-burning stove, in the sun lounge extension, with the lovely views across the Watling Steet Recreation Ground gardens. At full price, I think the food is a bit expensive (but you would expect that for Radlett), but with their offer it was excellent value for money!

I am surprised to hear the great reviews for superb afternoon tea . Unfortunately it was not the same for us. Went for a Mother's day gift afternoon tea. Standard but would not return. Sandwiches were dry, bacon inside was mostly the fat . Small cakes were not homemade either. Service was perfect, very attentive throughout. Lovely friendly staff. Shame the food was a letdown. We have had much better afternoon teas .

The Grill room always has a nice atmosphere. My Mum and I find it to be A La Carte but relaxed which is a nice mix. The food is delicious, we’ve never had a bad meal. I had the Potato Gratin with baby parsnips (vedgy option) this time and it was delicious. The Chef very kindly did my Mum a chicken option, as she couldn’t eat the other options and she really enjoyed it. Presentation and portion size is very good. Reasonably priced for the quality. When we stay at the hotel we always eat in the Grill room and if we were more local we’d eat here more often.
