Merhaba Restaurant in Cambridge

Visited here with friends on Saturday evening. Ordered mains and starter, though the starters ere forgotten about, our mains were brought out and at that point had to remind where are the starters? Halloumi was feeling nice though and bread and salad brought out. We were rushed to finish our starter with plates taken away as soon as we each finished, and asked before one us finished are we ready now for msin course. Main came out I had the chicken beating asked for chips but hot rice, they brought out chips on asking. Again we were rushed to finish despite restaurant only being half full. They tried to take my friends plate although he hadn't finished it. The mixed grill he had was nice though with the description and price £20 would have expected more meat. Overall food was good, but so cheeky to add the service charge onto the bill. Especially given service was so poor. I would have contested it but my friend didn't want a scene. Shame really as if it was not for that would go back.

This was the nearest I am going to get to Turkey this year and did not disappoint. Food was really good and a bit different to what we have had before. Charcoal grill right by the door as you walk in. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The worst takeaway I've ever had the displeasure of ordering. Pizza soooo greasy and the wraps were awful. Seriously do not recommend any kind of takeaway from this place

The food was excellent and the staff very generous. Also, despite staying until late and being the last table, we were not rushed to leave. The social distancing measures were also better than other restaurants I've been to in Cambridge.

Ordered through Deliveroo, we expected the food to be very good quality as the restaurant is expensive, £14.95 for a mixed grill, total bill was almost £50 for 2 mixed grills and 2 sides. The food arrived cold, the calamari tasted horrible and was a strange grey colour, the sauce was also had a sour taste possibly had gone off. The mixed grill was cold I had to microwave mine for 2 minutes and after trying it I was not impressed, very greasy and poor quality, a couple of mouthfuls and no more!! The mixed grill also came with oven cooked chips from a supermarket! The other mixed starter was almost £9 and hardly anything in it, again very poor quality! And I couldn’t believe it when I opened up one of the salads there was a dead FLY in it!!! Absolutely disgusting and shocking, Messaged the restaurant and have had no response, Deliveroo have apologised but said they would not offer a refund, so now almost £50 out of pocket for food to go in the bin!

Restaurant renovated recently and showcases a more modern and traditional style now. Food and service are exceptional. Definitely try a full set of Turkish breakfast, with a chicken beyti for main and kunefe for desert.

Normalmente no escribo comentarios sobre la comida. Primero recibí un doner kabab para llevar que costó 11. 50 que me sorprendió porque era caro. Me fui y la bolsa para llevar era pesada, lo cual fue un buen presagio. Llegué a casa y comencé a comerlo, tengo que decir que fue sinceramente el mejor doner kabab que he tenido en mi vida y he tenido muchos. La carne era increíble, venía con mucha carne en una cama, un arroz encantador. También había dos grandes trozos de pan que también eran geniales. Había una ensalada y dos tazas de salsa. De repente, el alto precio tuvo sentido y me encantó. Volveré otra vez como un regalo, pero no con demasiada frecuencia.

Qué restaurante increíble, la comida era fabulosa, teníamos el menú fijo con una buena relación calidad-precio. Aleyna nos sirvió, fue genial, muy amable y atenta, incluso trajeron un pequeño pastel con una vela para el cumpleaños de mi amiga y todos cantaron un ambiente brillante y un servicio increíble. Muchas gracias Aleyna por hacer nuestra visita tan especial que no podemos esperar para Vuelve.

We went here last night (2 people). We can't get over how great the food was. We were recommended the Chicken Beyti and we were not disappointed the best turkish food I have had int he U.K. The Turkish sausage is also very good.

Overall, food was overpriced for the size and taste; chicken kofte dish is £12 which is way more than average. Ordered some baklava as well and that did not taste fresh. Nevertheless , it was still a pleasant dinner.

With our eldest Daughter over from Canada, we all met at this Turkish restaurant here in Cambridge. The food was great but the service was lacking when it came to clearing the table.

Merhaba was such a nice restaurant. Now the menu as changed and old favourites / famous dishes are not on the menu anymore. The quality and quantity also changed and not for the best. Too bad, we loved to go there !

Fui a almorzar con mi esposa. Teníamos Adana main y la sopa de la casa que era lenteja. Panes y salsas dados eran deliciosos. No tengo ninguna queja sobre la comida. El nombre ha cambiado pero la propiedad es la misma. El personal de servicio debe ser más atractivo con los clientes. Deben ser proactivos, lo que ha sido una característica típica a lo largo de los años. Siempre volveré.

Merque la pena visitar el Merhaba si busca comida turca de buena calidad en Cambridge. El menú es amplio, la primera clase meze, las porciones abundantes y el servicio realmente excelente. Este es un restaurante donde los comensales realmente se sienten bienvenidos y la atmósfera lo refleja. Nada es demasiado problema y no hay problemas con una silla de ruedas. Muy recomendable.

Esta elección tiene una excelente relación calidad-precio 21. 95 por cabeza. Éramos 4, pero pedimos 3 porque las raciones son bastante grandes. Boxing day dinner with family. We ordered 3 mixed grill and a diner meal as mains with bread and dips as starters. Food was very tasty and fresh and quick and service prompt.

It is good that you can get the bread and dips as one usually gets in a Turkish restaurant as these are always the best bit for me but the mains were quite small and the rice had pieces of sweetcorn hidden in it which was not good for someone who hates it. It was nothing to write home about.

It doesn’t get better than this! Best Cambridge restaurant. Food and salad very fresh, portions good, prices reasonable, quick efficient service and the sauces were amazing. Really nice relaxed atmosphere and great food. Well done!

Paid £7 for Lamb shish to take away in a box with salad. Insultingly small portion. Served by a man who handled the food with his bare hands and then handled cash. No hygiene standards or careless?

A great Turkish Restaurant. The food is fantastic, cooked on a grill and smells gorgeous. Friendly staff and very helpful. We just had main courses and were given complementary bread and taster deserts. Highly recommended.

As someone who now lives in Turkey I wanted to have Turkish food when I came home to the UK for my graduation ceremony. I decided to book this restaurant because I liked the food last time. The waiter was pretty young who served us and even though he seemed to write down our orders there was a mistake with my brothers starter. The response from the waiter was 'well you ordered this'.. when in fact my brother didn't. The food was reasonable but not at the same quality you would get in Turkey. Throughout the service the two waiters were very slow to take our orders and never checked on us during the meal. They would just stand around talking to the chefs until we managed to catch them and ask for something. I know that the customer service in Turkey is pretty no-existent.. but now you're in the UK you should learn how we do/expect things here. Improving your customer service skills will help guarantee that customers return.

We stopped in here for a late lunch. The place was very quiet,we ordered starters and mains followed by teas and coffees. Everything was fantastic, huge portions and delicious. It was very reasonably priced. Service was attentive and friendly. Will definitely go again.

Food is quality but be careful what you order. We got the 4 people special and there was enough food for two people at best. When we complained about it the owner didn't seem to care much. Thought we were being unreasonable even though we were all still hungry and paid a hefty price for it.

Great selection of Lebanese and Turkish dishes. I haven't had anything I didn't like. The kebabs and grilled meats are done to perfection though, so if you're on the fence about dinner that's an easy win.

We have been there with my wife on a couple of occassions. Merhaba has a decent selection of meats, all of which are of a great quality. The waiters are also very friendly and the service is good. Give it a go if you like this kind of food.

Fuimos para cenar el viernes por la noche con la familia y tuvimos una excelente. Fotos de Adana y mezclado Grill. Ambos estaban deliciosos y muy bien hecho. La carne era suculento y suave. Mi hijo había doner y patatas fritas comidas niños que disfrutó. Panes y pedido tzatziki eran geniales. Conseguimos un postre gratis. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

The atmosphere was lovely, the staff friendly and the food outstanding. My partner and I had the set menu and there way more food than we could eat but it really reminded us of the standard and tastes of our recent holiday in Turkey.

We grabbed takeaway kebabs here before the cinema one night. They were huge, hot, fresh and delicious. Perhaps the only 'hot' chilli sauce I have had on a kebab that is actually good and hot. I would definitely order another kebab.

Merhaba is one of the best dinner options in Cambridge, especially if you're hungry! The set menu is extremely generous and good value, with your table first filled with hot and cold mezze, then a mountain of extremely tasty grilled meats, and finally dessert and choice of turkish tea or coffee. You'll be stuffed. The staff is also super friendly! Couldn't recommend this place more.

The staff were very friendly and efficient - service was excellent. Most of my group had the meat set meal which was more food than we could all eat, so we were able to box the rest up and take it home. I had a starter and main from the menu. There were lots of options, even for a vegetarian. Despite me not having the set meal, they provided a dessert for me so that I wasn't left out which was a nice touch. The food tasted delicious and we will definitely be visiting again.

Booked a table for 6 when Visiting my son for the weekend , the food was very tasty and plenty of it ( we had the meze ) , the staff were brilliant and all were really friendly and accommodating , we had a pregnant lady with us and a vegetarian , both were very happy with their food . All in all deserves 5stars and we will book again

El sish kebab tenía delicados sabores y era cocinado a la perfección. El tamaño de la porción es decente, sin embargo si tienes hambre puede ser necesario una porción extra de arroz o pan!

Visitado por mis primos graduación Merhaba, sirven excelente comida degustación y uno de los lugares de comida halal sé en Cambridge. El servicio era educado y amable, la comida y los postres llegó a tiempo que sabían increíble. Los aperitivos estaban hummus y pan, pedimos una parrillada mixta x 2 bandejas que tienen costillas, alitas de pollo, pinchos, ensalada, arroz, que eran más que suficientes para todo el mundo, patatas fritas para los niños. Postres: Té turco, dejar enfriar y algo que parece un Gulab Jamun - ellos sabían increíble! Me encantó. Sin duda volveremos :).

Mocking costumers in front of them speaking another language doesn't mean the customer doesn't understand what is being said. I don't care how good the food is if the staff are unprofessional and tactless.

I love Merhaba. I used to work on East Road, so we went there for work dos, or just general dinner after work. Staff are always welcoming and kind. Really really love the set menu you can get - it's great value and you get sooo much food. Mixed meze starter is especially tasty. My mum is a vegetarian and they catered well for her as well.

We had a great evening here but the food is nothing to shout about. Some bits are cold and the lamb was all fatty.

Sehr gute türkisches Küche, schneller und freundlicher Service, alles sehr sauber. Im Eingangsbereich wird auf Holzkohle gegrillt, es wird entsprechend alles frisch zubereitet. Die Preise bewegen sich im normalen Bereich, allerdings werden jedwede Beilagen zusätzlich berechnet. Unflexibel fanden wir, dass einem Veränderungswunsch beim Hauptgericht – anstatt Reis Chips nur insofern nachgekommen wurde, dass die Chips dann extra bezahlt werden sollten.

This place is amazing. The staff are always efficient and courteous. The food is mouth watering with every morsel. We were permit to share a meal - perfect as it hit the spot for both of us. Good selection on menu so even vegetarians can have good choice. Worth finding. They also do takeaway.

Me and my wife called here for a meal on a visit to cambridge. It was some of the best food we have had anywhere. I don't care what any other reviews say the food was stunning. Used to go there every now and then. Staff became increasingly rude over time! Almost always mess up my order, brought less than what was advertised and get very angry when pointed out their mistake. that happened almost at every visit.

I would recommend this restaurant for groups. Delicious affordable food and good customer service. Food arrives quickly and usually there is a dessert on the house. However, the atmosphere is not too cosy or intimate and therefore I would skip this place for a date night.

As a young British Muslim, it is often difficult to find a place to eat that serves quality halal meat. Merhaba is this, and beyond.I first visited it after recommendation from a friend; so I took my family out to lunch on Saturday 1st April and, I must say, I was blown away. The staff were kind and helpful, the environment was calm and accepting and the food was amazing. As a child, I grew up in istanbul and this food brought back memories of my childhood.

if you're looking for a great meal with amazing service this is the place for you, the food was delicious, i personally took the mix grill which really brought out the Turkish culture and cuisine, the food was well cooked and deserves a solid 4.5 stars at the bare minimum, the staff were also very kind and always ready for assistance, ever when the restaurant was full packed. Half was into the meal i also used the toilet and i have to say it was very clean compared to other restaurants that i have visited, you can tell that they really take care of it regularly. other than that the resturant was great and i highly recommend it to anyone who really want to get a bang for their buck.

I went to this restaurant last week and still can't forget about my visit, honestly this restaurant is one of the best I've been to in my life. It's food is amazing, it's clean and the staff are friendly and warm. I have to say me and my Friends ordered a set menu and at first I wasn't sure,but once it came we didn't regret at all. I'd say apart from the service and food being good that the enthusiasm of the workers made my day. Every one was positive and I'd defiantly recommend set menu.
