Where do I start? From the minute of booking and yes you do have to prebook ( they don't do walk ins), to the moment you leave, the whole experience is personal and first class. Knocking on the door may seem strange but from that moment on Rose knows your name and is the perfect host. Embrace the atmosphere of the restaurant it's one sitting and your meal is also prebooked. You are never rushed and encouraged to take your time. The food is what you pay for, Quality and lovingly cooked by Patrick (chef/owner) who comes to see everyone after their meals and spends time talking to you about you, and your meal, afterwards you can stay at the table or retire to the lounge area which we did for cocktails. I've never experienced such warmth, fantastic food and yet intimacy in one hit but I'll definitely go again Starter: Goats cheese salad Main: venison lasagne Desert: scottish tiramsu Bill: no suprises as prebooked plus whatever drinks you order.

For my 60th birthday I received a gift of the Mastery Experience at the Macallan Distillery. My husband booked this for two nights. What a find this was. We arrived in the dar and the grounds were well lit and looked well cared for. The welcome in the reception was excellent. Lauren and Tom were informative, helpful and friendly. This is a hotel with high standards of professionalism and clear processes , yet delivered in a warm friendly manner. The decor is exceptional throughout. the beauty is in the detail of the soft furnishings and accessories. The bedroom was a delight, the beautiful smell from the diffuser in the room was understated yet present. The standard within the bathroom was fabulous, excellent shower. This room was planned in detail to. meet your every need. The public rooms were just exceptional and exquisite and the sofas just gave you a hug. The food for evening meals was wonderful and the service was excellent, again staff were so professional. The hotel was busy and both mornings at breakfast the dining room was full. There was also a large table with 13 people. Normally this impacts one usual service. We did think we may wait longer and we would have been fine with that as large groups take time to coordinate. Not the case here, service was excellent, food wonderful and I have to say the coffee was exceptional. Not one part of any of our meals failed to meet high standard. What a wonderful hotel to stay in. I cannot wait to go back to stay there. There is no doubt that much hard work ( and finance) has gone in to making this hotel what it is. It is worth it. The photographs do not do this justice. The grounds are beautifully manicured. Then rooms are exquisite ( sofas and lighting of particular note). The real winning point is the staff. They are ever present and helpful. Don't hesitate to book this, you will love it

We are a group of 8 and stopped by for lunch. The service was great and the food was perfect. It’s hard to believe that a ham sandwich on white could taste so good. The soup was also excellent. Now the above and beyond. My wife planned a surprise 60th bday party for me that night…our guide contacted our waitress at the Sidings and asked if she could make a cake. The cake was incredible. Above and way beyond.

Lunch, excellent, soup and sandwich, wow, great tasting home made lentil and bacon soup, yum, tuna sandwich with crisps, my friend had baked potatoe with coronation chicken and side salad, various different items on the menu, nice tea room, nice people who own tea room and lovely young lady serving, give it a try, you’ll go back. I’m sure they could cater for a wheelchair user and have a disabled toilet as well. Very reasonably priced as well. Irene makes lovely apple pies, mmm to die for. Parking at back of tearoom or on street parking.

Gréât place to stop for proper coffee (the best in Speyside), snacks, and it’s right next to parking and a secure playground for the kids.

Awesome place with a gigantic choice of scotch whisky as well as a large collection of japanese whisky. This combined with a absolutley cozy atmosphere, delicious food and very very friendly staff makes it a fabulous place to spend the evening. I had the classic haggis balls as a starter, the fish&chips as main and toffee cake as a dessert. Everything was just outstanding. It was so good, we will pay it another visit tonight.
