Lunch, excellent, soup and sandwich, wow, great tasting home made lentil and bacon soup, yum, tuna sandwich with crisps, my friend had baked potatoe with coronation chicken and side salad, various different items on the menu, nice tea room, nice people who own tea room and lovely young lady serving, give it a try, you’ll go back. I’m sure they could cater for a wheelchair user and have a disabled toilet as well. Very reasonably priced as well. Irene makes lovely apple pies, mmm to die for. Parking at back of tearoom or on street parking.

We've been going as a family for years and we love the tearoom. Irene is really friendly to our daughter and always has a sweetie for her when we go and have a meal. The food is excellent and great home-cooked comfort food.

We popped in here for a quick coffee and a bite to eat, tiny wee place that felt very homely. Lovely custard cream and empire biscuit. Coffee served in china mugs. Friendly cafe that seemed to be mostly locals.

We enjoyed a light lunch at the tearoom where I had an amazing bacon roll with four rashers of crispy bacon on it and my husband thoroughly enjoyed a bowl of homemade broth. Great value for money in a cosy tearoom. Added extra for me was the selection of used paperback books to purchase for a donation.

We called in for a lunch and Irene makes everything herself, all of it is homemade. The soup was lovely and the sandwich was great with a lot of flavor. We have been here before and it seems that it's getting better everytime we visit the place. Irene deserves a future with her little tea and lunchroom

Been meaning to visit Irene's Tea Room for some time. I popped in for lunch today. After looking at the extensive menu of light bites and dinner dishes, I decided it would be my main meal of the day. I chose the pea & ham soup followed by breaded haddock and chips with salad garnish. I finished with a latte coffee. Everything was delicious and piping hot and I was not kept waiting. A great meal and value for money that would put many eateries to shame.

Good friendly welcome, very clean and tidy with very good service. The menu was adequate with plenty choice for snack or meal. Don’t be fooled by the small sign outside the door, this is a very good tea room that is not expensive and very good value for money.

I have driven past this tea room so mentioned over the years but today we actually went in for coffee. This was so lovely. The tea room is run by Irene and her husband. Great welcome and pleasant decor. I ordered a home made gluten free scones, with tea and we had a homemade Scotch Broth. My scone was delicious and served with home made raspberry jam. Fantastic. He says that broth was delicious with plenty veg in it. I ordered 2 scones to take away and our bill was less than £7 .!! Absolutely worth every single penny and more. More established restaurants need to look at what they offer?

Popped in just after three and had some soup, tea and a scone. The bread with the soup was nothing special (missed a trick) but the scone with cream and jam was excellent and the tea in perfect china cups with plenty in the pot was wonderful. Pleasant little place, would like to return for lunch sometime.

Called in at Irene's when on a trip to the area to research my family tree. Irene was very helpful and was able to help us find some of our family graves from the 1600s. Lovely friendly people, excellent service, made us very welcome. Had a bowl of their excellent homemade soup. Will have lunch there next time I am in the area.

Found this nice little tearoom when passing through Rothes. Had coffee & homemade scones & jam served with a smile. Very reasonable price didn't feel ripped off like most places these days. Would definitely recommend & will be back again.

We visit when we can as we pass through Rothes on the way north to Fochabers from Grantown on Spey. Parking is easy on the roadside but there is a car park for cars to the rear. Irene is owner and cook. As you enter, look through an open door to the right, she will be cooking away and always has a smile and a few words with everybody who comes in. Head left into the dining room. An eclectic mixture of fittings and furniture. Like the menu, something for everyone. Especially if you like mince and tattles. Lovely. This is the place for good wholesome food. Always hot unless it is a fresh Salmon salad or similar. I am a fussy eater (so my wife says) but I always find a choice of traditional and not faddy food. Irene’s is for people who like a really good meal at a very reasonable price. Not a ripoff joint, no way. I will be back soon.

We received a very warm welcome. The rooms were all en-suite. They were very clean with tea and coffee making facilities. A perfect stopover for our Moray Coastal walk.

While staying at findhorn bay camp site we decided to try Pizza for a quick meal . We had ham and pineapple pizza , garlic bread with feta dip and finished it off with tiramisu. It did not disappoint, especially the tiramisu.Decent size of pizza , plenty for 2 of us with 2 slices left to eat later .Didn’t have long to wait .

Friendly staff, felt very welcome without being stifled. Lovely cafe with home cooked foods. We arrived in time for lunch service. Great selection for all. I had homemade Cullen Skink, best I have ever tasted! Ordered 2 children's meals too of chicken breast burger and Mac n Cheese. Deluxe hot chocolate was amazing, piled high in cream, Marsh mallows and chocolate. Very reasonable prices for home cooked food. Highly recommended. Busy place and rightly so!

Gréât place to stop for proper coffee (the best in Speyside), snacks, and it’s right next to parking and a secure playground for the kids.
