I had the Breakfast Naan with bacon, and it was so good 👍 My daughter had the red pepper soup, and it was also so good, and the server was very pleasant. I don't know if it was the owner, I couldn't tell if he was happy we're there or not, though, because we had a "Starbucks" water cup.

First time here. Warm welcome. Lovely atmosphere. The food is amazing, we both had the French toast - wow!!!

Batchen Street Coffee Shop is my absolute go-to café in Elgin! They have the BEST coffee & the chicken, tomato, avocado & siracha mayo toastie is sooo tasty!! The cakes aren't too bad either ;) my latest favourite is the croissant with scrambled egg, bacon & maple syrup. I wasn't sure about the combination before I tried it but it was so good! The service is always amazing - the team are brilliant & really look after you when you visit. I can't recommend it enough.

The old man with the grey hair is very rude. I went on a Sunday morning and asked for a table. He said they were full. A person that was sitting on a table said that they were leaving soon so I told this to the old man. He said the table was reserved for later. A different person from another table said that they were also leaving so I let the old man know. When I told him about the last table that offered the seating he angrily threw all of the cutlery he was drying on the table top he was working on making a scary and loud sound. This was very rude.

From the outside the inside didnt look very inviting to me however Im glad we gave it a go (as recommended by adjacent shop owner). The very tasty teas and coffees came with a good and varied menu choice. French toast was superb with a pile of crispy bacon....perfect. Staff were very helpful, polite and friendly.

Lovely, homely and quiet cafe, Wonderful and attentive staff. Dog friendly assuming your dog is friendly.

Showed up at noon and was told they were too busy to even make food to go.

Great cafe serving traditional and unique breakfast options! We had delicious chai lattes, Smoked Salmon Benedict and the French Toast Special. All items were delicious and filling!

Food was spot on - breakfast flat bread , bacon roll & decaff lattes . Gorgeous blend of coffee ! Only negative is the wooden seats are a bit uncomfortable .. some cushions would be good . Relaxed atmosphere & friendly staff , we will be returning customers

The staff are always cheerful and apologetic when they are busy. It’s a small cafe but worth a visit. Gf and df options which are delicious. Their coffee is absolutely delicious!😋

Batchen has been the best place we’ve been to in Elgin. The staff are lovely and prompt, food is made fresh and absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the breakfast naan with halloumi. Coffee to perfection! Will definitely be coming back next time we’re up.

An amazing cozy coffee with brilliant staff, exceptional coffee and wonderful food.

Super friendly find. Food was amazing. Poached eggs perfect and tastey vegetarian haggis. Loads of tea, topped up the tea pot without having to ask. Soup looked good too. Dogs were welcome

On our way to findhorn stopped of at Elgin for coffee at the ditsy teacup it was full !! So round the corner we found batchen st coffee it was lovely, received with a smile we managed to get a table shared a coconut slice and 2 latte,s they were delicious will definitely be going back 😄

Batchen Street Coffee is the best place for coffee in Elgin. They have the best coffee, hands down! I recently tried the eggs benedict on toast with bacon which was really tasty. I prefer savoury to sweet so cant comment much on the cakes, but they usually look appetising. The staff are welcoming to me and my dog. My impression is that the cafe have had not the easiest of times keeping up with rising costs and maybe not getting the custom needed to keep going. I do hope more people support small business like these as they make Elgin a better place!

Full disclosure: I did not go to the coffee shop; however, my husband wandered off to find us coffee while I "browsed" nearby. I'm not sure which variety of coffee he bought, but it was absolutely delightful. I've had a variety of coffee during our two-week vacation. Most of it ranged from questionably decaf to potentially epinephrine infused. This blend was perfect, and not too acidic. I only wish we would have had time to grab a bag of beans to enjoy later. Bravo!

Found this coffee house online as I was on holiday. We were shown to a table and they were happy to let our dog in as long as it was well behaved. My husband had coffee and a roll on sausage which was absolutely brilliant. I had an oat flat white and I asked if they had gluten free cakes, which they had. I had a beautiful lemon, lime and orange sponge which was also dairy free. It was so flavoursome. The staff were friendly and they gave our dog a biscuit.

Wonderful cortardo. Rich, darkly baked brown bread crusts, dark chocolate and very full bodied. Coffee this good requires real skill to make.

Still the best coffee, service and food in town.. No 1. Try the breakfast flatbread with bacon and add a couple of sausages on the side.

I looked on trip advisor where to eat lunch in Elgin. So pleased we chose this cafe. Friendly staff and we had an excellent lunch. Homemade lentil soup and haggis beetroot and cheddar toastie. Well worth a visit.

Very crammed inside and even more average food. We were disappointed as the service was slow considering how overpriced the menu is.

I've lived in Moray for just over a year now and only found this wonderful place yesterday (through the independent coffee guide book). What a gem! Fabulous food, fantastic coffee and great service from friendly, knowledgeable staff. The Peruvian pour over was excellent and I ended up buying some beans to take home. Sandwich specials were tasty and generously filled, to top it off, the pistachio frangipane cake was worth the trip on its own! I will definitely be back 👍🏻

Best mocha I had in a long time. The place was charming and the service was wonderful. My friends all enjoyed their coffees as well and we had a great time interacting with the staff there.

Myself & 3 friends stopped off in this lovely wee establishment for Breakfast on our way home from an overnight stay in Inverness. So glad we opted to come here. The food was absolutely fantastic & the best I’ve had, I will definitely visit again.

The vegetarian haggis toastie is the best sandwich in Scotland! Coffee, pastries, atmosphere all good.

I'd left my mobility scooter outside while I was having lunch in the restaurant. The young girl who served me was really pleasant and helpful, and the soup and cheese on toast was nice! Then this other woman said, "Will you move your scooter, as I'm putting up Christmas decorations?" No, please or thank you, and I'm in the middle of eating my lunch, so I sad once I've had my soup as I didn't want it to go cold. She said it will only take you a minute to move it, but move it to where? She was really obnoxious, so at this point, I carried on eating my soup and ignored her!

The perfect breakfast is served here, always the same top quality produce and amazing service, never had anything but great food here. I don't know where they get the coffee beans from but the coffee is something to be savoured, I've struggled to find coffee as good as this anywhere in Scotland. A truly amazing place for breakfast or a coffee and a slice of cake

Having spent a week in the Moray area we were looking for a quality coffee. Finally we found it here. Many other establishments in the same street that you come to first when you head from the Main Street. But keep going because this place served really great quality coffee. It was spotlessly clean very friendly staff. Had coffee and cake both of which were a very high standard. Best we had in three weeks in Scotland!

Fantastic place love their sandwiches and bagels and my favourite part is the local apple juice, I visit for lunch with my dad most Mondays and the customer service is so great they even remember our drink order, highly recommend.

1st visit yesterday to this lovely coffee shop. Staff very polite and attentive. Having the waiter choose my coffee after asking my preference was an unexpected bonus. He chose a delicious Kenyan coffee bean to serve in my V60. Can't wait to visit again.

I have visited Batchen Street Coffee a bunch of times now, but not frequently by any means, and that’s significant. Because despite visits being months apart, the staff remember me and treat me like a loyal regular. This is indicative of the level of service that you can expect from the team here at BSC. the food menu is good and can accommodate most dietary needs. The environs and ambiance is fresh and contemporary. But it is the service which makes this place standout. In short, in this sleepy little town, BSC is my go-to when my tummy rumbles.

High standard coffee and food. Ordered the Batchen full breakfast - fantastic! Not greasy, full of flavour and quality. Service was faultless. Young guy that served us was such a wee character, sets a high standard for what service should be. Very accommodating to us as we hadn't booked, took the outdoor table, when it started to rain he was straight out to sort us an indoor table as soon as one became available. Would definitely be a repeat customer if we lived locally!

First time in and will not be the last, lovely coffee and I had the scrambled eggs with salmon which was excellent. Staff polite and attentive. Noticed lovely cake when paying but will have to sample another time, great excuse to return.
