Came in on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed two sensational haggis sandwiches, each with a different accompanying breakfast product. So tasty, served on lovely fresh rolls. Service is speedy without being rushed. Quiet, peaceful upstairs seating area with wifi is perfect place to relax and consume. The coffee is also excellent. Wholeheartedly recommend!

Another visit to The Maytree in Bruntsfield for some lunch was another great experience. We had Mushroom soup with toasted Focaccia filled with Bacon, Brie & Cranberry along with Tea and Chocolate Hazelnut slice. Food brilliant, served by a very friendly happy waitress. Music soundtrack just magic !!! See you again soon.

My husband and I were traveling in the UK. Everyone had said we would love Edinburgh and they were right! A highlight was when we chose to eat at The Badger for dinner. The food was awesome and so was the service. The bread was so fresh and homemade that I would consider going back just for bread, but better than that was their famous Meat Pie. I had chicken and hubby had the beef pie. Both were scrumptious! The bill was not too bad, either, especially considering we both had a large glass of wine. If you want to go, call ahead or schedule online (which we did, no hitches!). We did not get to taste dessert because we were both so full but next time!

Visited here a couple of times during our stay in Edinburgh. We had the steak one night and the breakfast on our last day. Lovely food , friendly staff and very nice restaurant. Very handy for us as we were staying at the Frederick hotel across the road which offers 20% discount at Rabble. Well worth a visit

Great venue with great staff and an incredible atmosphere. The Friday and Saturday nights in particular with the live DJ are next level, if you fancy a wee pint and a boogie jus out of town I would definitely advise this place. Full on 10/10, I'd happily be there any day of the week. Mon The Terrace

We visited for lunch and we were really disappointed with the prices and portion sizes. My £8.95 chicken wrap was tiny with hardly any filling, and I'm not sure you can advertise that it comes with crisps when you only get 2 Pringles! We were still hungry afterwards. We'll give this place a miss in future.

I've known Machina since its early, rustic days in the former Tollcross venue. Then it evolved into a sleeker operation, and now, in Marchmont, it's at its sleekest. Large, very nicely designed multi-room environment, beautiful varied displays pf coffee equipment, in sum an appealing place to sit in and sip your coffee and perhaps savour one of the nice-looking sweets. What about the coffee itself? It used to be superb. Now, it is still ]good and well-executed, but the blend they served seemed a little more ordinary to me. Maybe cost-control, maybe my tastes have evolved, the fact is that I no longer find the coffee here to be at the same top-top level. But, I repeat, it is certainly very good. Prices are very high. Staff varies: I've met some friendly and competent, others disengaged and not well-informed. There is a policy that regulates the use of laptops - perfectly understandable in view of the tendency of many people to use coffee shops to get a workplace where to stay half a day on the cheap.
