Gorgeous food and great value for money!!

Had a wonderful evening at banger and co with my family I got the feta salad which was great. Sian looked after us and provided excellent service throughout the night would come back just for the service !

Lovely dinner... looking forward to a Sunday roast there.

Came in with my partner on Monday and received excellent service from Jamie. Great atmosphere, great food, highly recommend.

Came here for my brother's birthday and honestly the service was just absolutely lush! We had a group of people with varying tastes and likes/dislikes but everyone found something that suited them, and my brother had a lovely birthday! Would recommend!

Gorgeous venue. Small menu, but in my opinion, that usually means the food will be good. It was delicious and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was great too. Staff really friendly and incredibly helpful. Will definitely be back and can thoroughly recommend.

Had the steak & haggis pie! 👌absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is so lovely & peaceful, the service was impeccable! Nothing too much trouble. Will definitely go again on our next visit to Edinburgh to try something else of the menu!

I had the Chicken Supreme at Badger & Co., and while it tasted great—tender chicken, and a solid sauce—the portion was tiny for the price (£23). I left still feeling hungry, which was a bit disappointing given the cost.

We were looking for a local experience for lunch rather than the familiar names from back home. So we chose Badger & Co. First of all great atmosphere. We were the first ones to arrive for lunch, and followed by other small and large families. Some have chosen the place for celebration. Unique selection of beers. Good chicken mushroom pie. Great fries.

A cozy atmosphere with decoration perfectly combining elegance and originality. Excellent value for money, the dishes are delicious! We recommend with your eyes closed!

Outstading sunday roast Cute set up Exceptional staff

We were looking for a relaxing Sunday dinner in Edinburgh away from the extremely busy Royal Mile. We went to a different pub nearby that happened to have an open mic night and we left very quickly as we couldn't hear each other even shouting..... Anyway, we came to Badger & Co without a booking and despite their roasts being sold out, we had an amazing dinner in a delightfully cozy restaurant with a gentle Wind in the Willows theme. Our waiters were very friendly and accommodating, and we're very glad we chose here for dinner!

I wish, wish, wish this had been a 5 star experience. I adore the Wind in the Willows. It was one of my favourite books as a child. As an adult, I love cocktails. It seemed like the best of both worlds! Obviously the interior design gets 5 stars. There is Wind in the Willows or badger stuff everywhere. On every wall, in every corner. Except the actual bar. It was a strangely empty feeling, especially coming from another cocktail bar that was packed. There was also a sort of uncomfortable sterility or coldness to the vibe. Like it is trying to be a trendy upscale spot, but doesn't quite have the right feel to it. It's hard to explain. The people I was with weren't feeling the spot, so we all only had one drink. I grabbed one of their signature drinks (the Wild Woodsman). It tasted very weak and was pretty boring, to be honest. It's basically a Paper Plane which I do like normally. This just wasn't very exciting. Sadly, a lot of the signature menu felt a bit cheap and novice with the use of flavoured vodkas/gins, cheap whiskeys, and liqueurs. Malibu? JD? Really? There was a pretty snotty attitude from the server as well, as if he thought we weren't good enough to be in this pseudo-fancy wannabe-influencer spot. While I didn't particularly notice, my friends felt unwelcome from the server and other customers. Not sure why. But maybe we stood out as a table of casual masc lesbians in a very straight bar? The giant Pride flag draped over the backbar just felt very ironic and performative to us. So, it's a cool idea. It just fell really flat for us.

Shame it didn't live up to the previous reviews ... I came for lunch on a Sunday afternoon at 3:45pm. It was very quiet, with no real ambiance. Gorgeous venue and amazing entrance, but it had a very strange smell - fish with a cheap vanilla air freshner over the top. Menu is quite limited if you don't eat meat, which was a shame. I ended up with the mackeral starter as a main and a side of fries. It was nice, but basic. My friend had the steak and haggis pie and said it was nice, but a bit bland, and you couldn't taste the haggis. Staff were friendly andd attentive. They play Wind in the Willows audi books in the toilets, which is a nice touch. With so many other places to visit in Edinburgh, I probably wouldn't return.

Booked the private room downstairs here for a party. Could not have been more pleased with the space and service. Food and drinks were excellent. Thank you so much to the staff there for making my event such a success, you are all amazing!

In Texas, we raise a great deal of cattle and eat a proportional amount. I don’t think I’ve ever had a tastier meal than Badger’s ox cheek. Outstanding. By far the best. Do yourself a favor, go to Badger & Co. for dinner.

We booked Badger & Co for our Pearl wedding anniversary celebration. Very easy to book and we were allocated the nearest table to the front door as requested. Very friendly and attentive staff who provide a great service. Menu is not as extensive but offers enough options for all tastes. Food was excellent and well presented. I had a steak, which was perfectly cooked. My wife had the burger which was excellent and well presented. My wife had the Sticky Toffee pudding which I helped her out with. She thinks it was one of the best she had ever had. Bill was reasonable (10% service charge added automatically) My only slight disappointment was that although I advised staff of my name which coincides with the author who is the main theme of the restaurant (it was his place of birth), there wasn't any gesture of recognition. Even a complimentary coffee would have been nice. However didn't detract from a very pleasant experience and would recommend for anyone looking for a restaurant centrally located in the city centre.

We stumbled on this lovely place on our trip to Edinburgh. Really great food. All the folks working there were super friendly and engaging including Sean who took really great care of us and made a killer cocktail! The ox cheeks were soooo tender and fell apart. I would easily come here again.

Myself and my partner always find ourselves drawn to Badger and Co. for their delicious cocktails and mouthwatering fried chicken. Recently, I convinced a group of 8 friends to join me for a pre-theater dinner, and we were not disappointed! Shannon, who handled our reservations, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The restaurant's Wind in the Willows-themed decor was a delightful surprise for my friends, and the food was absolutely fantastic. The starters were particularly impressive, and I couldn't resist indulging in my favorite dish - the fried chicken. Angus, our server, was attentive, friendly, and made our dining experience enjoyable. The waitress (unfortunately, I didn't catch her name) was also fantastic. And let's not forget the spicy margaritas! They were the perfect complement to our meal. My friends were so impressed that they've already said they'll be back. Badger and Co. never fails to deliver. Thank you, Badger and Co. team, for another wonderful evening!

I booked the lounge area for an after work Fringe event for work colleagues to mingle and have a drink. The staff were incredibly friendly and couldn't do more to make our night. Attentive and quick service and a lovely atmosphere to end our evening.

Badger & Co. offers an incredibly charming atmosphere with a stylish look that is complemented by cozy music throughout the entire building, even in the restrooms. The two servers who assisted us were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, providing helpful insights into the dishes. I opted for the Vegetarian Burger with classic fries, and I must say, it was the best veggie burger I’ve ever had. We visited in the afternoon during a shift change, so there was a slight wait to get the bill, but it was no big deal. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. For two main courses, a side of fries, two beers, and a bottle of water, we paid £55, including tip. Absolutely worth it!

Great service here and the food was tasty. Recommend the tenderstem broccoli side and the macaroni cheese.

This is a quaint little gem, just off Princes Street. Riddled with Wind in the Willows, nostalgia- the menu, looks like a story book & the toilets, have the stories playing. Staff were super friendly & attentive- without being intrusive. The menu is varied and well priced. We all scoffed everything we ordered. I would definitely recommend.

Kinda odd concept for a restaurant but can’t argue with the food - steak and haggis pie is an absolute 10/10 and my mate’s fish dish looked top quality.

The service was good, though they were slightly understaffed for the crowds leading up to the fringe festival. The food was quite tasty, portions were on the smaller side, but it was sufficient. I didn't care for the method they served, tiny baking pots in a board. It just makes things a little awkward - "we want plates"

Since childhood I have loved "The Wind in the Willows" and this restaurant fully conveys the atmosphere of the book. In addition, there is excellent service, perfect steaks and cocktails, and delicious desserts. And, they also make excellent coffee here. Good vibe. Good mood. Good food.

Very friendly and engaging staff. Cocktails were creative and delicious. Loved the barley and feta salad. A meal in itself. The fish n chips were very on par. The atmosphere felt upscale yet homey and the price was below expectations.

The pies were delicious and the stocky toffee pudding was out of this world. Nice chill vibe as well. Way to go!!

Dropped in with a party of 4 on a Sturday late afternoon. Were lucky and got a table. Staff was super friendly, food was excellent. 2 shared the Highlander fries as a starter (actually, one could share this also by 4), the others had the pork & haggis sausage rolls. Ox cheek, fish & chips and steak & haggis pie (2x) were our mains. We did not make it to the desserts. At least a reason to come back. ;-)

2 of us ordered the steak, and it was very tough. The chips were cold for all of us. Definitely wasn't your moneys worth. The service was very rushed and almost bumped into us multiple times. But they were short staffed so fair enough there.

Wonderful atmosphere and the staff was very kind and attentive to our jet lagged family. The space was warm and inviting and the food delicious. I had the fish and chips and the fish was perfectly done, and chips crispy. Would encourage others to enjoy this wonderful place.

The British home-cooked Sunday roast, which is prepared and eaten on Sundays before going to church, had great meat taste. Ham, mashed potatoes, and meat pies that are a must-try when coming to the UK. It suited my taste well. I put it in a book when I gave it to the bilge, and it was written by a writer who lived in the restaurant. Good idea.

Food took 1.5 hrs to get, the waitstaff didn’t tell us that the ticket was lost until we confronted them. When the food did come, while the fish and chips was good, the pie was more of a chicken soup than the consistency of stew. Very runny, we were told that is the recipe. Really disappointed, we had 9 people, including 4 kids that were really looking forward to a modern British meal. They did end up giving us 50% off the bill.

We were looking for somewhere memorable to eat on our last night in Edinburgh and found this place. Very cute and quirky. We enjoyed our meals, vegetable Wellington and a pie and I had the best sticky toffee pudding of all the ones I tried in Scotland. The Bonnie Badger cocktail was delicious. We went early so was not very busy.
