We stopped here for a nightcap a few nights when we passed through Edinburgh. We were blown away by the hospitality of Peter and Jonathan. They provided both wonderful conversation and recommendations for whisky. The atmosphere is also top notch with an eclectic mix of art. The whisky room is well stocked and decorated as well.

My wife had the best margarita she has ever had anywhere here. And an excellent Spanish red. I had a couple of superb whisky’s based on recommendations from the barman. The craft lager on draft is also superb, and I’m not the biggest fan of lagers.

I booked this bar for a small group and had a great experience. We stayed in the lounge the whole evening - much later than our original booking time! The building is beautiful, the service is attentive and warm, and Arturo is a great host with lots of knowledge on the history of the area. Highly recommended.

We had a quick meal and drinks before the New Year's party and were very well received and attended to by Tony and Arturo. The portions are tasty, well served and at an affordable price. We also really liked the cocktails. The atmosphere is cozy and modern.

Myself and my husband have had drinks here on numerous occasions, mostly when we are staying at the hotel. A great little bar, funky decor with music playing. Drinks are reasonably priced, there is an outdoor area overlooking the beautiful garden. Just a shame not a lot of people take advantage of this gem.

Superbe place. Went a few time now. The garden at the back is brilliant and the waiter at the bar is so nice. Great place for a drink away from the crowd.

Amazing, friendly and attentive staff, lovely cocktails and the garden to the rear which is great for catching the sun in a relaxing atmosphere. We also had a very educational chat with a resident whisky expert and enthusiast who really knows his stuff and is happy to share - House blend highly recommended! Looking forward to returning in future

A hidden gem! We were priviledged to have the cocktail garden to ourselves, complete with heating, blankets & hot water bottles. Enhanced by the incredibly attentive service from the new Nicaraguan staff member

Lovely and colourful place full of art, with friendly and attentive staff. The cocktails are amazing and the hot dogs are delicious with big portions! It surprised me the fried pickles that I never have tried before but they are so good. We want to return and spend some time in the Garden 🍹🌭 100% recommended! 🔝

Located in a quiet location just outside of Edinburgh City Centre, within easy walking distance of Princes St., Dinna Tell is a delightful venue for a quiet meal or drink in pleasant surroundings. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal in the terraced garden to the rear of the building, followed by a pleasant drink in the comfortable bar. Spectacular art work is a feature of the premises. We were excellently looked after by Alex and thoroughly enjoyed the hot dogs and shimps expertly prepared by Jamie. A quiet retreat well worth a visit.

Another visit to The Maytree in Bruntsfield for some lunch was another great experience. We had Mushroom soup with toasted Focaccia filled with Bacon, Brie & Cranberry along with Tea and Chocolate Hazelnut slice. Food brilliant, served by a very friendly happy waitress. Music soundtrack just magic !!! See you again soon.

My favourite Edinburgh pub. A quirky, friendly to all, great beer and chat place down in the Newhaven area. This place stays open by the love of its owners and has a huge social impact. If you want a good local craft beer, if you feel a bit off or want to celebrate something, just get the tram and stay to the last stop, and then a short walk to the Dreadnought will fix it.

I'm not sure. My mocha tastes like a hot chocolate, maybe I received a hot chocolate, it's a bit overpowering.... And overpriced for my taste. Probably won't go back ☹️ However, lovely staff!

This was a lovely find. The salmon and pesto quiche was nice and the millionaire shortbread was the best I've ever had. Really pleased to find they had highchairs so it was more comfortable for our little one to sit with us.
