Fabulous entertaining owner. A proper local cafe with a mix of locals and tourists. Good tasty coffee. We have been twice for breakfast, and the food was fab and generous on both occasions... would love to have this as our local cafe...

Yummy rolls- egg, bacon and cheese. Nice staff. Recently updated inside so it's a nice place to sit inside as well.

First time here. Ordered 2 big breakfast 1 Americano 1 cappuccino and 1 can off juice because coffee wasn't the best 31 pound something. Wouldn't off been so bad paying for good food but everything was burnt and rubbery not good at all we left more than half off food on plates couldn't eat anymore.. not good do not recommend won't be back

i've been a regular for a long time, previously going with my elderly mother who loved Ali's chat. excellent food, great banter, very catering people and the cakes (home made) are amazing. will continue to visit & recommend to anyone who's in loanhead.

What a lovely find.... very friendly welcome and the owner himself a very charismatic man passionate about his coffee and food.... Honestly why would you buy coffee from Starbucks or Costa or the likes of.... a real pleasure and I will be back when I'm passing. Cheers everyone thank you for great service. John

There is a sense of returning to the TV situation drama - "Hong Kong August 1". The Silver Jubilee Snacks scene has a feeling of the 1980s. Hong Kong people who want to drive to Costco or IKEA can come here and give it a try. The prices are average, but the food and drinks are plentiful. The old chef is somewhat like Uncle Mao, he loves to joke and is humorous. Sitting here and enjoying a hometown cafe style, good old days feeling, chatting with the chef full of funny and humorous. My hottest coffee always warm my both hands.

The owners are very welcoming and chatty. Food is excellent plentiful & tasty. The home baked cakes are to die for. Love going here for my lunch certainly recommend.

Panicked and ordered before I noticed the prices - £4 for a hot roll with two fillings! And £4 for a hot chocolate. Hot drinks absolutely scalding - leave about 10 minutes before drinking. Service was decent but I did get overcharged by 50p - nothing was written down.

Got served this absolute monstrosity of a dinner off this young chap that works that. Would of been better eating pedigree chum.

A good sized breakfast at a fair price, that included tea/coffee. Very well frequented which is recommendation in itself. Mine host is a character who brings life to the experience.

Wonderful food and people. Stopped on a whim before going to Rosslyn Chapel. Had a bacon, egg, & cheese roll with the best hot chocolate. Obviously a local favorite, as customers were greeted by name & regular order.

Excellent coffee, very friendly, very accommodating. We asked for oat milk, they ran across the street and bought it! Food was outstanding. We asked for real maple syrup and Viola! Even the other customers were welcoming to the high maintenance Americans. Price was well below expectations when everything else excelled. One of the most pleasant cafe experiences in a month long visit to Scotland. Our last stop before the airport.

Sat in maybe 2 months ago. Door left wide open (freezing) and the sit-in breakfast was served in a takeaway container due to covid 🤷‍♂️😂 Cheaper options in the industrial estates

Well… its fair to say i will not be back. on 3 different occasions me and my work friends have had hairs tangled in our food, this place is really unhygienic / dirty, its not hard to wear a hair net! Do not recommend!🤢

Great food in a relaxed friendly atmosphere from a cup of coffee or tea to a full breakfast or lunch at a really greatborice ghisbis ghdbplacecto go to. Sully in or take away available 7 days a week from early morning to mid afternoon (earlier at weekends) highly recommended

I went there a while ago with a client and found it had a lovely warm, friendly atmosphere, so today I decided to take a friend there for lunch. Just like last time the atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly, we both had the homemade curry and chips. It was delicious and the portion sizes were very generous. There is a good selection of homemade dishes available on the menu, plus various rolls, panini etc plus breakfasts. We'll definitely be back and would recommend this place to anyone.

Friendly well priced local cafe

Not my first time here but first with my little boys. Always great service whenever I am up but they pandered to my boys picky whims over breakfast, truly above and beyond. The food is always good and such family friendly service, Always worth the detour to pop in

This place is exactly what you would expect from a cafe. It’s not pretentious, it does good honest cafe food without any of the frills or the accompanying prices. The breakfast rolls are fantastic, the service is great, the locals are friendly. Go if you want decent honest old school cafe type food and good old school prices. Don’t go if you’d like the latest trends in coffee flavours and artisan interiors.

Their chips are phenomenal. So crispy, light, golden yellow and incredibly tasty. I have shared with friends while watching Loanhead Gala. It was best chips I ever had. I live in near by Edinburgh for 15years but never had such wonderful chips in town. So tasty that I came back to the cafe after Loanhead Gala ended, sadly the place is already closed for the day. And coffee was lovely too. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Popped in for a quick lunch after visiting a very busy IKEA. I have to say the welcome and service was as good as one you would get in a high class restaurant.The food was good, we had two small breakfasts, two filled rolls and three soft drinks all for £16, a whole lot cheaper than the prices at a service station. Freshly cooked and very tasty, I would happily go back.

Never ever again just had a square sausage and egg roll and a black pudding and egg roll my stomach is in bits from the grease he clearly deep fry’s his food as the sausage and black pudding were crispy and just tasted like grease shocking avoid this cafe at all costs

I've never been disappointed with the food here. Standard fare but mostly cooked fresh and cooked well. The staff though are ace. Ali is ace and makes you feel very welcome in his place and his young side-kick (sorry I can't remember your name - Alex??) is very polite and efficient. Really good sit in breakfast but also good for a smash and grab roll if you're in a hurry.

Popped in while my girlfriend went for an interview. The guy behind the counter who I am assuming is the owner was very friendly. I had the full Scottish breakfast which was a big plate and it was not greasy at all. Would come again if in the area

Have had both takeaway and sat in for food at Stotties and you get a huge plateful and certainly will never go away hungry. Well run and everything freshly cooked, just what you need if you're hungry.

The staff are so friendly and efficient. They have specials every day as well as their regular menu items. It's very popular with locals. Despite it being busy, the wait for food is short. We all love the macaroni cheese!

Fuimos allí para un rápido almuerzo tarde en abril. Visitar Escocia como parte de viaje. El dueño era muy alegre y hablador. Considero que la comida normal (los pubs en Edimburgo para ofrecer más valor). Centro Loanhead no tuvimos mucho lugares mesa alta. Hay asientos en el interior. Creo que tienen pizza 1 ó 2 días a la semana. Todavía clasificar como un buen lugar económico para comer.
