Great value set lunch, food was delicious and flavourful, good ambiance and exceptional service.

Went there to celebrate my mum's birthday. Food was delicious, and great service. We mentioned it was my mum's birthday off handedly only as we asked for the bill, and the waitress came out with a candle on a deep fried ice cream dessert (yum) on the house! Lights turned of singing happy birthday and all. Was such a nice surprise!

My wife and I have eaten here maybe 6 or 7 times over the last year and it is consistently excellent. Friendly, efficient staff serving really tasty food at very reasonable prices. A highly recommended neighborhood restaurant - and you must try the tapas selections.

La peor tailandesa que he comido, esta es mi cocina favorita. He estado en Tailandia y cocino comidas tailandesas en casa, ya que soy de una zona rural, esta entrega de comida fue un verdadero placer mientras estaba en la ciudad. Era tan malo que no podía comerlo. La sopa Tom yung parecía agua sucia para platos en lugar de la cremosa naranja que esperaba. Estaba caliente sin sabor complejo. Pedí el salteado de jengibre con cerdo. Parece ser una carga de verduras congeladas con la menor cantidad de carne de cerdo fina de oblea. La salsa era fina y agua como y el mismo plato marrón agua que la sopa. Había pedido dos arroces pegajosos, el primero estaba bien, pero el segundo estaba en el microondas y era un bloque sólido y completamente no comestible. Pagué 38 libras incluyendo la entrega y todo se fue a la papelera excepto el primer arroz.

The food was tasteless, the roti didn’t have any sauce, the amount of food reduced, the green curry was a watery soup with some pieces of aubergine and tofu floating on it and the tab was broken so all around the bag… wont order again from the restaurant.

Best ever!!! Absolute little gem in the heart of the city. Ideal location, easy to reach by public transport. Gorgeous entrance, welcoming atmosphere and lovely decor. The china ware and glasses are very chic. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Menu is varied and everything looks delicious!! It was hard to pick what to have. We had 3 starters and 2 main meals with noodles. Everything was prepared to perfection and the presentation was so inviting!! Every dish was full of flavours, definitely the best Thai l have ever had. Super yummy. For dessert we had affogato. Huge scoop of ice cream, strong espresso and a shot of liquor. Grand finale for a great meal. Congratulations to the chef!! To cap it all, fairly priced, very reasonable. We'll definitely be coming back.

Lovely family run restaurant. The food looks amazing & tastes just as good. Clean & healthy dishes that won't make you feel like a sloth with heavy luggage.

Para los platos principales teníamos un pollo al curry verde, Pad thai, langostino al curry amarillo y salteado de cerdo con albahaca. Curry no era lo suficientemente picante para mí, pero todo sabía delicioso. Botellas de Prosecco solo £ 22. 80 y botellas de Chang £ 4. 80 . Pequeño restaurante con personal muy amable. Tuvimos una comida encantadora y sin duda volveremos - pero pedir más picante esta vez!

Every dish is delicious and truly uses local Thai ingredients. Recommended snack platter, fish sauce papaya salad and main course fried shrimp with rice. Seasoned well, just the right amount of lightness. The fried food is delicious, but the main dishes are a little on the sweet side. The service staff are friendly and enthusiastic and can speak Cantonese. It's really great. The restaurant environment is clean and tidy, and the location is convenient. Highly recommended! Food was tasty enough. Very small portions. Curries were mainly sauce. Bit of a rip off.

I love Thai food. However, we found the found here to lack any flavour or depth. The service was good and they made you feel welcome. I had the papaya salad, which I usually love, but it just tasted like shredded veg. I had to ask for extra chilli. We then both had a stir fry with ginger etc. It just looked and tasted like cooked veg with protein. Very watery too. It was like what I have at home for a healthy midweek meal. I wanted something more tasty. I had to ask for and pay for some red curry sauce to give it flavour. The dessert was good though. I’d go back, but it would have to be for a curry, as what we had was pretty lacking in tastiness.

We didn’t book and took the waitress by surprise as we waited 15minutes or so and eventually called to say where is anyone! But it was worth a wait as the food was great. All of enjoyed our dishes very much and fried ice cream was nice too.

Over priced for quality and packaging

Food was fine however not worth the price. Curry for GBP 16.00, really? It was more like Thai street food and you would expect to pay not more than GBP 10.00. Also, I am pretty sure they are using 2 l Coca Cola bottles, as mine had zero gas. Not impressed, would not go back.

Portion size small for price paid, quite disappointing but tastes good.

We pre-ordered a takeaway meal for six people around 4pm with a delivery time of 6.20. However, our food didnt turn up till 7.20. And it was by then lukewarm. Communications were non-existant - we didn’t get any online confirmation of our order and could not call the restaurant as their phones just went straight to voicemail. We also never had the courtesy of any response to our voicemails. So we didn’t know whether we would receive our order, worth over £100, or not. We have had great food here but that was a big let down and I doubt we would order from here again.

This was so incredibly disappointing. After starters which were over priced but fine , I ordered one of the chicken stir fry dishes. I have to say it was one of the most tasteless experiences in a restaurant I’d ever had. A few pieces of chicken that looked like it had come out of a packet and a collection of wet steamed / braised vegetables that had absolutely no flavour whatsoever. Nothing Thai about it. I can’t believe I didn’t take it back but we had a film to get to. Really not ok to charge these prices for such inadequate, bland food.

My husband and I love this place. We have been a few times and sampled many of the curries, soups, and pad Thai. The soups are fantastic. Really rich and flavoursome. The curries have all been great. The prawns have always been especially large and high-quality. We enjoyed the pad thai too. The wine pairings are also very good. We loved it so much, we went back twice within a couple of weeks. Really friendly staff too, who made us feel very at home.

They were perfect with the amount of spice level in the chicken and egg rice.... simply giving me exactly what I wanted... great service, good price, excellent food..

We went to Gratitude Thai Lounge for my husband’s 50th birthday. The extensive gluten free options were a huge draw and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were really friendly and attentive and really helpful in making sure that the dishes came out at spice levels everyone was happy with. The food was plentiful and delicious and it was great to try new dishes that we hadn’t had before. We’d thoroughly recommend and will be back as soon as possible!

Had my birthday dinner and drinks here, great ambience, tasty Thai dishes, every dish was seasoned just right (we love Thai food) good wine offering! Kate and her mom’s service was outstanding, good attention to us and our guests, good lighting, we took cracking photos. Thank you ka, we will be back again soon.

Tried this place because of the lunch deal (14 for 2 courses) and the outside looked quite appealing. It had a good choice for the lunch menu (sometimes they can be limited) and the food was very flavourful and fresh :) some good citrus and heat flavours as expected from decent Thai food. staff were really nice and they allowed our dog in with no hassle. After trying the lunch menu I will try this place for dinner in the future, would definitely recommend :)

Great neighbourhood restaurant - have ordered take-away several times here and we’ve been delighted with the food. Good menu, with selection of vegan and vegetarian options. Noticeably very fresh ingredients, expertly prepared Thai meals and excellent, caring service. Manageress Kate went to some trouble recently to successfully resolve an issue with terrible service from a third-party delivery company (Uber-Eats) on our behalf. A great option for takeaway, and we hope to sit in for a meal sometime soon.

We spotted this restaurant after the cinema and decided to have dinner. It has a modern vibrant feel about it. The menu offers a great choice. We had the squid and fish cakes to start. I had the green thai curry with aubergine and chicken which was perfectly cooked accompanied with a generous portion of perfectly cooked sticky rice. The service was warm and friendly. So glad we came across this one and will definitely be back.

I think this is some of the best Thai food in Edinburgh, along with great service. The Tapas style starters are very generous, with two to share more than enough. We had the Green Curry and Masaman curry and there were generous portions of both. Extremely nice food.

I was at Gratitude for the first time today. This place is a hidden gem, the restaurant was well set out and welcoming. The food was delicious, and although the wine list was limited there were some great wines on offer. The lady that served us was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend and I will most definitely be back.

I had dinner today (19/07/23) and Kate and the lady with the blonde hair went above and beyond. Very lovely staff! And food very yummy!

We were not sure about going to Gratitude because there used to be a favourite Italian restaurant in these Churchill premises. But we were delighted with our eating experience. Firstly, the waitress was elegant and intelligent. She knew how to deal with 4 old timers with fun and courtesy. Then the food. Everyone had something different. Everyone was pleased. My unadventurously chosen Tom Yum soup was perfect. Then my spicy beef fried rice was just as good. The wine was decent and modestly priced. The restaurant is family run, just like its predecessor. It deserves to be very successful.

It tasted ok, but we ordered two completely different dishes and what we received was different ingredients in the same sauce, the sauce was watery and thin. Hardly any flavour. A bit disappointed to be honest.

Very inviting welcome by the super friendly and humorous staff. The menu offers a wide choice for vegetarians, drinks are great with many mocktails and Singha beer from the barrel. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty. They know how to use spices to make it perfect and not too hot. Really enjoyed a fantastic dinner here for a very fair price. Definitely worth going to!

Terrible food. I threw my dish away after one fork, meal smelt and tasted bad. My partner ate her meal as was starving but again it was not nice, half cooked. Delivery driver also dropped one of the meals over my doorstep due to the bag falling apart. I spent 10 minutes cleaning my doorstep.

We popped in for lunch today. Delicious food and great service. We had Thai fish cakes, chicken satay, Penang curry and a pork curry with delicious authentic sticky rice. We will be back to try some more of the food and the cocktails.

Found this gem in Morningside and I am so glad I decided to try somewhere new! I went for the Whisky Duck for my starter and the Pad Me Noodles as my main. It was as exceptional as the customer service. Would highly recommend! Ambiance 10/10 Food 10/10 Service 10/10
