Another visit to The Maytree in Bruntsfield for some lunch was another great experience. We had Mushroom soup with toasted Focaccia filled with Bacon, Brie & Cranberry along with Tea and Chocolate Hazelnut slice. Food brilliant, served by a very friendly happy waitress. Music soundtrack just magic !!! See you again soon.

I'm not sure. My mocha tastes like a hot chocolate, maybe I received a hot chocolate, it's a bit overpowering.... And overpriced for my taste. Probably won't go back ☹️ However, lovely staff!

We stopped here for a nightcap a few nights when we passed through Edinburgh. We were blown away by the hospitality of Peter and Jonathan. They provided both wonderful conversation and recommendations for whisky. The atmosphere is also top notch with an eclectic mix of art. The whisky room is well stocked and decorated as well.

Been here quite a few times for both food and drinks. Always love it, brought friends and family here too and they have a great time! Food is delicious, lots of options for vegan etc. And the margarita is my favourite! Reason for review is, had a couple of drinks in there last night and a girl next to us was looking like maybe she'd had one too many (happens to the best of us), place was absolutely packed but before I'd even noticed bar staff were checking on her and bringing water to the table. Love to see it

Cute spot but maybe not great for food. I ordered the miso bean toast and it was so salty that it burned my throat and was inedible so I had to leave it there.

Every dish is delicious and truly uses local Thai ingredients. Recommended snack platter, fish sauce papaya salad and main course fried shrimp with rice. Seasoned well, just the right amount of lightness. The fried food is delicious, but the main dishes are a little on the sweet side. The service staff are friendly and enthusiastic and can speak Cantonese. It's really great. The restaurant environment is clean and tidy, and the location is convenient. Highly recommended! with a friend we decided to have lunch and Bread st looked best option,modern design and interesting menu ,however one habit of mine is to ask the staff what they would eat or recommend ,we love fish and our server Alessandra recommended Crab on toast and Tuna Tartare which were great choices although I found the Tuna little too spicy , Mr Raboso

Really enjoyed lunch here, haggis and mash with I think it was red wine sauce. Stag kept up even though it was busy during the Fringe. Only slight minus is I thought it was a little bit expensive for what it was.

We stopped by Frites for a snack and, based on the waitress’s recommendation, tried the Chicken Tikka Goodness. We went for the large size to share, and the fries were flavorful and satisfying as a meal. However, the place lacked a seating area, even for waiting, so we ended up enjoying our fries on the stairs of Usher Hall nearby.

This place is fantastic. It has a cozy vibe. The women who work there are competent and caring. The pastries are top level, as is the coffee. The menu is small and features a good mix of sandwiches, vegetarian items, breakfast items, and pastries. Seasoning is perfect. It was so good that we went back a second day on our three day visit.

Lovely staff and great space. I only had coffee but next visit will most likely have some of the delicious looking food. I think it was the manager who went above and beyond. Thank you!

Great cafe and one I love, as well as the family who run it, but sadly not learning from previous issues raised. Ordered poached eggs on toast yesterday to get 3 overcooked rubbery eggs. Not for the first time, sadly. Didn't eat them and couldn’t be bothered sending them back. Why the server let them get to the table is beyond me. Not the family breakfast experience I wanted. Refunded the breakfast but not the point. Went for breakfast this morning instead to another local cafe. Perfectly cooked eggs!

We have been going here for a while now. The Carvery is fantastic, always fresh and hot. A special mention to Lorna who always gives us a lovely welcome and looks after us well.
