For the price it's very good - practical for short lunch breaks and those on a budget.

We really enjoyed our afternoon, the service was spot on. Am not sure the cut of steak used for the steak frites is the best… I had mine cooked “as recommended” but to be honest it was just really tough to be honest, the slab of butter needs to come out the fridge a little before going on the steak as it was too cold and just didn’t melt over the beef as you would want it to. My friend had the mussels - they were fab, as were the cocktails / wine

Came in to buy ground coffee, lady on staff did an excellent job helping me find the right one. Was so impressed I had to buy a takeaway coffee which was delicious, chap on barista duties got it just perfect.

Excelente pub local. Muy buen ambiente. Terminó volviendo la noche siguiente debido a la bienvenida que recibimos tanto del personal como de los lugareños. Grita a su maravilloso barman Alex. Recomiendo encarecidamente que haga una visita y sin duda volveremos!

Qué experiencia maravillosa cenando aquí, desde el momento en que llegamos fuimos bienvenidos. El personal era encantador, la comida era increíble, mi marido tenía goujones de pescado y yo tenía el eglefino ahumado Cullen skink risotto seguido de pegajoso pudín de toffee y manzana y fudge crumble. Estaba delicioso. Sin duda recomiendo ir fue una noche encantadora

Originally went to Piecebox to visit (outwith normal hours) to deliver stuff for Ukraine so decided to follow up one day when I was in the area during normal hours for coffee and cake. Coffee was excellent and the cake delicious but I think the service was a little under par (shortage of staff perhaps ?) . . . .but still OK.

I returned to the bakery after some time as it used to be excellent. I am sad and disappointed to say the quality was anything but today. The produce was dry, and tasteless. I also witnessed another customer returning their purchase that was also stale. £16.50 for something that is now in the bin is disappointing for a place I once thought was excellent. On the bright side the staff were lovely. It was a carrot cake that was dry and clearly several days old. The other cake was also dried out, and bland, not what you expect at £5.50 for a small slice.

Sorprendido con este lugar. No parece mucho desde el exterior, pero necesitaba un descanso del mal tiempo y entró a tomar una bebida caliente. La comida y bebida era excelente! Ingredientes de alta calidad y pasteles tan sabrosos.

Ich habe für den 31.12.22 2 Wochen in voraus gebucht. Wir sind extra mit dem uber von unserem Hotel (old town) dort hingefahren. Ich habe 3 Tage zuvor immer wieder Reminder erhalten von Grams ob ich die Reservierung wahrnehme etc. wir haben uns sehr gefreut und dann standen wir vor verschlossenen Türen. Sie haben seit dem 18.12 Pause. Wir haben keine Information bekommen, dass es geschlossen ist. Keine Weiterempfehlung, da schlechte Organisation.

Visitamos dos veces porque era agradable y cerca de nuestro hotel, comida encantadora y agradable y tranquilo a diferencia de muchos cafés que eran más céntricos. Toda la comida que comimos estaba deliciosa, me gustó especialmente lo refrescante que eran los tazones de batidos, mi única queja es que desearía que los arándanos en la parte superior estuvieran frescos, no congelados, pero esa es una preferencia personal y entiendo que esto es menos conveniente. Fácil acceso con silla de ruedas. El personal era agradable y amable y en general lo recomendaría 😊

I had took my son a trip to the museum which isn’t far from this cafe on Friday My son was overwhelmed as the town was quite busy i stopped to get him chips as I knew he would calm down if we got some food The reception i received was absolutely disgusting I left and cried for the way you made me feel My son was having a hard time yes he’s noisy he’s disabled non verbal autistic The way your server woman looked at us with disgust It’s discrimination I won’t be leaving this here I also suffer from severe anxiety so Thankyou for making me feel awkward to the point I asked if I should Leave with my son

A decent sized café offering takeaway as well as dine in options, we weren’t sure of the setup initially and so just selected something form the ‘fridge, although subsequently realised there was a somewhat wider choice available on the menu. My chicken pesto and sundried tomato baguette was decent enough, with lovely soft bread, but perhaps lacking much in the way of any real flavour, with the pesto in particular not being that noticeable. Across the table, a ham and cheese baguette was similarly received, perfectly serviceable, but nothing that exciting either. On the plus side though, a latte was really very good indeed, and the staff seemed friendly and helpful.

Buen lugar donde desayunar un buen sandwich, unas tostadas o unos gofres con una pinta genial. La atención es muy buena por parte de los camareros pero un poco lentos a la hora de servir. Probamos la tostada de aguacate, los huevos turcos y dos sandwiches. Os recomiendo 100% el sandwich chilli cheese, con varios tipos de queso y una mayonesa de chili un poco picantita. Una delicia.
