Excellent, beautiful decor. Good food and staff friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit if passing by. A little gem.

Blue Cedar is right in centre of Ballynahinch. Locally owned and the food is homebaked with a wide variety to choose from. Ample seating and for all weather. Variety of plants to pick from after you are finished your coffee.

Owner is so rude I was left sitting while she was on her Mobile texting for a good 10mins just as I was about to leave she stopped me I ordered a coffee and slice of cake well the coffee was stone cold and the cake was a dry as a piece of chalk must have been at least 4 days old I will never step foot in there again

Called into this bar with my family for the football final. Was told on entrance it’s a “mixed bar/public house” When England came on the tv they actually turned off the sound for the national anthem which is sick. So I sang it at my table and got told off? Also when England scored we got told to “pipe down” yet when Spain scored not a word was mentioned. The wee boy who worked behind the bar was an absolute sour bake. When ordering drinks he gave so much attitude I actually had to report him. The one bar tender was lovely, chatted away all night. But as for the rest of the staff there still living in the 70s Definatley not a mixed bar and 90% of the staff need an attitude check. It’s football get over it Guiness was decent tho Won’t be back

What a great we old fashioned pub. Reminded me of what pubs were like growing up The local regulars are so witty but seriously intelligent with their wit and take on current affairs. The Guinness was decent too but the real charm was in the place and the people. Great spot

Although this little bus station cafe is small and always busy because of those who are passing through, I can honestly say some of the best coffee in Downpatrick is served here. Very reasonably priced, and they have specials on regularly to suit the season. Even if you're not making a trip anywhere, stop here for a lovely brew and a fresh baked good or confectionary of your choice to carry you through your day.

Was in yesterday with my patner.... we ordered some food there was a seating area so we asked if we could sit in so we took a seat and when the food was ready they couldn't even bring it down.. went up collected the food came down opened the bag anybody with common since wouldn't put a cold dip into a box with warm food... and when u order a kebab the chicken is ment 2 be cut up and as for the chips they must of been fried 20 times... I went up 2 ask for a knife to cut the chicken to be told 2 bring it bk up she would cut it for me... And another bad sign when u walk in and the staff r swearing so loud u can here them in the street... defo dont recommend.....

This cafe is an absolute disaster. We went in a large group and some of the group waited over an hour for their meal. It was total chaos. The waitress was also very rude when we pointed out that we’d waited for some time to be served. Her attitude was that it was”wasn’t her fault”. Didn’t offer to check on the order, but instead was rude and very unhelpful. I will never be back here again. Very disappointing.

Coffee - tasty. Food - inedible. We ordered sausage rolls and they were visibly blue moulded. Staff response ‘oh..sorry’ then had to queue for a refund.. just a really awkward experience. I assumed the remaining sausage rolls on display would have been removed immediately.. they weren’t 🤢 Even though the coffee was nice, sadly the food and experience that day is enough to make me never want to go back.

Called in for a coffee and a light bite. Couldn't believe the price and the quality of food was atrocious. £3.60 for a cool cappuccino £4.75 for a sausage roll, burnt on bottom £3 for a few days old fifteen bun Definitely never be back

We waited to be seated at the entrance. There was a family in front of us. Wasn’t long before a female member of staff came along and took them to their table and gave them some menus. Shortly after we were taken to ours but not given any menus. Waited for about 10 mins … still no menus. I went and fetched some myself. Decided to go for the burgers and chips. The woman who led us to the table came over and asked us had we decided what we wanted. (even though she’d forgotten to give us menus) Didn’t take too long for our meal to come … prob under ten mins. It was a good meaty burger with lettuce, tomatoes and gerkins and skinny fries on the side. Unfortunately our meals were luke warm 😱. Didn’t enjoy the food since it wasn’t hot. After we had finished it took quite some time for a waiter to remove our plates. Away he went without asking if we’d like dessert. We then had to go up to the bar and ask if some one could take our order for tea and cake. We got fed up waiting so went up to the bar and ordered it ourselves. We had tea There were only two choices of cake - apple and cinnamon cake or a chocolate brownie. My hubbie had the apple and cinnamon cake and I had a brownie. The portions I must say were not at all generous and when we went up to the toll to pay I could see that some of the brownies were cut much bigger than the one that I was served. Where is the fairness in that? I found the staff to be very aloof, it was almost like they didn’t really care about the customer. To be honest I did not feel comfortable with the whole experience and I would not recommend Fodder to anyone. We will not be back.
