This place is amazing. I came here to celebrate my 21st birthday and booked the venue. Incredible service, catering and views of the sea. Could not recommend this place any more.

Enjoy a lovely breakfast here on a Saturday morning. The parlour is dog friendly which was perfect for us. Disabled access fine too. Tried to ring ahead to enquire and left a message no response. Glad we persisted and went in person to check suitability the day before.

Been here last year was fantastic. Went today poor service cutlery was filthy had to pick through to find clean wiped on napkins to be sure. Food has fallen away great before today one burnt egg one piece of bacon. I think it must have changed hands. Francis was there before place was clean food was great , what a shame will not be going back. I would have complained but a family member bought lunch did not want to cause a problem. Like I said I would not be going back.

Regularly visit here, and today no exception. Young fella that served our table was exceptionally helpful and pleasant. Staff here generally are very good. Would have to rate their full breakfast as up there with the best anywhere in Ireland. Breakfast is made by the use of the butchers sausages, I think the sausages used here are local Smalls butchers. Really good quality. If you have read my other reviews, you will know my pet hate is when cafes etc use Really cheap catering sausages, to save a few pence, not the case here, though. Potato bread, soda, bacon, egg, mushrooms, well cooked tomato, everything always well cooked to perfection. No beans, but I wonder can they be added as an extra??? Always find cafe very clean and pleasantly decorated. Good views ( not this morning though, it was lashing rain) over Irish sea and surrounding area. Outside seating is dog friendly too.

Mediocre coffee.... Served in dirty crockery. It's annoying to feel dirt on the handle of the cup. Saucer also not clean. Nice enough staff but only got 3 stars for the view. Better places in Newcastle.

The worst cafe experience in Newcastle! Wrong orders, cold food, incompetent staff and not even any cutlery to eat with. Firstly our order was incorrect, so had to be sent back. We also asked for some knifes as there were none at the self service. When our food arrived back for the second time we still weren’t given any knifes. We attempted to get started on our food with just our forks, although it’s pretty difficult to eat a fry this way….. The beans were bloody freezing! After another 5 or so minutes I went up to ask for a manager to see if anyone in the place could get us some knives to eat with. Still no success. Apparently there wasn’t a manager working and they were too understaffed to wash 2 knives for us. We ended up asking for a refund and leaving, after much of a faff at the register to refund me. Bottom line, stay away.

Called in on 29th Dec at nearly 4pm ( actually not expecting them to still serve hot food) and were greeted by restaurant manager Murray. He was exceptionally pleasent and helpful. Was it still possible to get some hot food? - No problem. I had the fish finger sandwich. I was at the least expecting fish fingers from a packet, but no, these were their own battered fish fingers. In the bun with the fish was a delicious salad. Absolutely fantastic. The best quality I have ever had. Meals others had were also great. Exceptional service from Murray and other staff. Best, friendly, service in Newcastle. Prices very reasonable for top class food. Very clean. Definitely will be a regular eaterie to visit. 10/10 👍

Called in here for a light lunch. Ordered lunch including coffee, specifically requested that coffee arrive with meal and not before it. No sooner had I sat down at a table and the coffee arrived but no food. Coffee taken away and returned with food, but half the coffee by now is in the saucer! Asked for a full cup of coffee plus knives and forks as meal had arrived without any. Fresh cup of coffee delivered but still no knives and forks which after another request were eventually delivered. Service was like something out of a farce, needless to say I will not be returning

Called in 1/10/22 for a quick snack. Had visited for first time a few weeks previous and was really pleased with whole experience and said we would have to go back. Went for fish cake with garnish and also a toastie, with 2 americano and some tray bakes also ordered. Food is really good quality, very generous portion sizes and very pleasant and helpful staff. From outside the restaurant looks small, but it is huge inside, with a lovely dog friendly outdoor covered seating area that we used on previous visit. Are now starting to use here as a regular place to visit. A very good menu for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Very reasonable ford also. Very clean and free wifi. 10/10.

Blue Cedar is right in centre of Ballynahinch. Locally owned and the food is homebaked with a wide variety to choose from. Ample seating and for all weather. Variety of plants to pick from after you are finished your coffee.

Although this little bus station cafe is small and always busy because of those who are passing through, I can honestly say some of the best coffee in Downpatrick is served here. Very reasonably priced, and they have specials on regularly to suit the season. Even if you're not making a trip anywhere, stop here for a lovely brew and a fresh baked good or confectionary of your choice to carry you through your day.

Great as they are registered with Coeliac UK, which means they cook my pizza separate and safely. Staff very pleasant.
