Fabulous lunch with friends. Staff are friendly, attentive and welcoming. Had the most amazing crab toes and a lovely pint Guinness zero. Highly recommended.

Bit mixed, large pub with plenty of seating and lots of TV’s if your into your sport you will be at home. Food portions were massive and my partner really enjoyed the prawn salad. My Yorkshire pudding with sausages was ok but I’d not order again. the quality of the sausage was average at best and there was a lack of gravy, I asked for more but it never came and had to ask two different servers for a pepper mill. I left slightly disappointed but would give it another go with a different food order for me

Very nice bar with a wide variety of drinks

Been here twice after my father raved about the 50% off main meals on Tuesday and Fridays. First time I went was a Tuesday and I got the turkey and ham, I was disappointed. The ham was so tiny and 90% of it was fat. Stuffing was mainly just a breadcrumb. The chef can make good champ/mash, smooth and seasoned perfectly. But what confused me was the chef not knowing what goes with certain dinners, the veg is very strange to serve with a 'sunday dinner'. I also got a scoop of some sort of cheesey leek on my plate, again does not go with turk & ham. Brocoilli & carrot parsnip mash doesnt go with chips. Dad loved his steak and to me it looked of great quality and its served with bits & bobs unlike a lot of places that serve a steak with sides. On Friday past I got a burger, it was decent, flavours were tasty,It's decent pub grub . It was bap, bacon, thick burger, bbq sauce, cheese & tobacco onions closed with a bap. It was nice but very dry. Maybe even extra bbq sauce to dip? Or some salad? I need to drink more while eating it. The service is very good and super friendly staff. For 50% off its a bargain and definitely worth it but doubt I'd go back at full price. Toilets unbelievably clean (after all its a bar/club at the weekends). Floors and tables aren't sticky at all.

Attended here today with family after boasting about the food I had last week and sorry to say I was embarrassed and so let down at the food that was served! The fish goujons which were beautiful last week was burnt to bits the fish inside looked like the batter . The gravy was awful and the chicken goujons were cremated aswell as the onion rings and everyone’s chips . It’s was seriously a plate of burnt food and even though concerns were raised it was laughed of by staff and left to our own devices . Aswell as lipstick on 3 out of the 8 glasses . So let down

We were staying in Newcastle for my sister's 50th and had contacted Quinns to book a table and ask about balloons etc. The manager kindly agreed to decorate the table with balloons and provide prosecco and a special birthday dessert. When we arrived, these arrangements had clearly been forgotten. The staff provided the prosecco but said the balloon pump was broken and there was no mention of cake. We were really disappointed as we'd wanted to make a fuss of my sister. The food was poor. Two of the starters were lukewarm - including the "famous seafood chowder." I think this could potentially be dangerous! The Thai fishcakes were odd. The mains were marginally warmer but the real insult came when we got the bill and 2 mini bottles of wine (25cl) were £8 each! A whole bottle would have only been £20! No-one thought to mention this when taking our drinks order! The irony in all of this is that we were asked incessantly by a disorganised staff if everything was okay and despite raising our concerns, nothing was done - no discount was offered - no apology for letting us down with the birthday arrangements. One of the waiters offered to reheat our food.... Avoid. This place has potential. The bar is cosy and comfortable, but they let us down badly with the birthday arrangements and we had a pretty awful meal too. We felt let down that the wine pricing also wasn't raised with us until the end of the meal.

Absolutely superb Pub Restaurant, in fact it achieved the honour of winning "Gastro Pub of the year 2023". Delicious food, homely atmosphere and attentive staff. Comfortable seating, live music and TV sport. Family friendly, lift down to toilets for disabled patrons. Highly recommended, especially for tourists. Free all day vehicle parking on nearby Downs Road facing the Irish Sea.

Very quick service, wonderful atmosphere. We had the seafood chowder and fish and chips. Genuinely out of this world! Huge portion sizes too. The chowder was the best ever.

What can we say about quinns in Newcastle the booze is not proper alcohol the door staff are a beating people this place needs to be closed down it's selling drink to underage kids

I loved Quinns bar in Newcastle Northern Ireland. The staff are friendly and pub itself is full of charm and character. The Guinness was delicious. The food, oh my gosh, it was soooo delicious the beef melted in the mouth. I definitely have to go back there.

Called in for lunch. After we had been shown to a table we were able to order pretty quickly. The food only took about 20 minutes and was really tasty. It wasn't too busy but the staff were very attentive and always asked if everything was alright. I'd definitely be back for another feed!

We were staying at the slieve Donard and came to Quinn’s for dinner and drinks. Service was so quick even though it was a busy Saturday and the football/rugby was on. Cocktails were beautiful and drinks deals were so good. Food was absolutely amazing! Portions were big and it was so nice, I got the roast dinner and my husband got the chicken stack and we were both impressed. Staff was great quick in getting more drinks and clearing the table, atmosphere was brill everyone having a good time, would definitely return and recommend!

Ordered chicken goujons and chips. Goujons were barely luke warm, chips were burned bits with a couple of larger chips to hide them, No garnish. Plain plate looking so unappetising. Absolutely bare minimum for almost £17.00. Terrible but there was a nice buzz about the place.

**Updated 10/10/2023** What sets this bar apart is its fantastic, down-to-earth staff, with the super-friendly Katie and Mary leading the way. We all chose from the special menu and kicked back in the upper bar area. Katie and Mary not only met but totally exceeded our service expectations, making our experience seriously awesome. And the food? It was on point, leaving us totally satisfied. So, if you ever find yourselves in Newcastle, definitely check out Quinns! In the heart of Newcastle lies Quinns bar... One of my favourite local bars. (Great beer, lovely food and fantastic staff!)

Great atmosphere, very busy pub. Service was very fast. Staff were young no issues but not overly friendly or welcoming but they were very busy. Food was OK. Quite pricey for what it was and didn't seem freshly cooked. Almost batch cooked and kept warm - food wasn't piping hot for how quickly it was served

Lovely atmosphere, really nice interior decor. Always has sports on. It's nice place for a pint after walking in the mournes!

Der Pub ist in der Innenstadt und an der Hauptstraße. Es ist sehr schön eingerichtet und großzügig, so das man auch mit einer größeren Gruppe dort essen kann. Der Service war sehr nett und flott. Die Speisekarte hatte von allem etwas, war sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Das Preis-Leistung hat gepasst. Wir würden dort wieder essen.

we had high expectations as we had heard Quinns was the place to go. we got the garlic ciabatta to start between us. Looked like it was cooked in the microwave. we sent it back as it was cold in the middle and the garlic butter wasn't melted. took ages to come back and it was obvious it was stuck in the microwave again. rubbery and tasteless. my hubby's food came out really cold and only the sauce was hot it warmed it up. After the starter we didn't want to make another fuss that it was cold. I asked for my sauce on the side which was forgotten. I had to ask twice for it. was overall very disappointed with our experience.

Cold beer, great selection of food

Lured in by 'Gastro Pub of the Year 2023 ' chalked on a blackboard, I've decided this must either be one for trading standards to investigate, ie. False advertising, or no other pubs entered. Granted it's lively - a great boozer to watch the rugby - but the food is nothing special, standard pub grub; reheated in a mucrowave with coleslaw and onion bits chucked on top.

Lovely atmosphere! Very helpful staff! Nice looking place! Unfortunately food was not good at all! Husband had ribs hardly no meat on them , I had ceaser salad , chicken was rubbery lettuce was not fresh , and fries under cooked cheap frozen chips. I would drink here but certainly wouldn't eat here again.

Sorry I just don’t get it, Gastropub of the year 2023. The meal we had chicken and loaded fries would not have won any accolades what so ever, staff were ok very young and a little inexperienced but with staff these days ( so hard...

Excellent Pub! Super nice atmosphere, the staff is young and dynamic. Very good choice of menu for all tastes. For my part I drank 2 IPA Citra beers and for meal the Chicken Goujon plate with chips. It was excellent! I will definitely return there on my next visit to Newcastle.

Traditional Irish pub with amazing food, friendly atmosphere, warm welcome and a great pint of the black stuff. Roast Turkey & Ham stack was a highlight and the fish and chips was delicious. Highly recommended

Chips half cooked, fish over cooked, apart from that not too bad. Waiting staff and Service quite good for a Wednesday afternoon and the Guinness was nice.

A large bar and restaurant in the centre of Newcastle. It is good pub food with good service and at good value. Extensive drinks list and live music makes it a lively spot.

Average bar but 2 members of staff a ginger boy and a short brunette stood at the bar actively talking about me, once approached the bar they both started going sh sh sh and then I went “sorry for interrupting” hoping for maybe an apology...

I've been going to Quinn's for a number of years now but won't be back ever again... Our waiter had a serious attitude problem because my friend changed his order which made everyone at the table feel uncomfortable and when the food came out my wife ordered chicken and it was pink in the middle in which we told our waiter and she started arguing with us at our table saying it wasn't pink when it clearly was we told her we didn't want a new one and she wasn't taking no for an answer which then resulted on more food coming to the table when we already told her no. Who ever is the manager at Quinn's needs to have a word with this woman on how to speak to costumers. STAY WELL CLEAR!

Great location. In the middle of the city. Great live music with good food and drink.

When we arrived the place was very busy. A waitress arrived and took our drinks order which arrived wrong. She then took our food order. The garlic bread was threw on the table in front of me with plastic in it and not even cooked! I had to ask another waitress for cutlery. Our mains arrived again threw in front of us and most definitely not wat we ordered. The attitude of the staff was nothing short of disgusting when we cancelled our order and asked for the bill for our drinks. A long way from when we ate here before it was so good we looked forward to going back unfortunately after going back we will not be looking forward to going back again. Inexperienced staff.
