Have called in to this wee place quite a few times. They!ve moved up town a bit, into a much smaller place, but opposite the sea. We usually have coffee and scones, or a baked potato and salad. Always good- especially the coffee. My sister takes her coffee like rocket fuel, and is very hard to please. She loves the coffee here. You can order specially made cakes here also.

Great food, very friendly staff and very dog friendly, he was given a big dish of cool water to drink. The ladies there were very chatty and could not do enough. Well worth a visit.

My family and I popped in here last week for a quick bite to eat after a long travel from Birmingham, England. The young girl who served us at the counter was nice but very quiet, when we asked her something she said “what?” not “pardon?” or “excuse me”. We sat down and the food that we ordered came out very quickly, it also came out before our drinks. My sister and I ordered a can of pop each. Hers came out a few minutes after the food, after around ten minutes, I went up and asked for mine. The girl I spoke to (different to the first one) was incredibly rude! Just the way she spoke to me and the way she looked at me when I asked for my drink. I wasn’t rude at all, I just said “ooh, could I get my can of coke please?”.My Dad and Nan ordered two hot drinks which came out after they had finished their food. The inexperienced girl bought the hot drinks out and placed the spoon for my Dad’s drink on his dirty plate! Also, when the rude girl bought our food out, my Dad asked what flavour the crisps were on his plate and, again, the nasty look on her face made us all feel so uncomfortable and her response was rude, her tone of voice and what she said “I don’t know. They’re smokey bacon I think. Why? What’s wrong with them?”.The food was okay. Overall, a very unpleasant experience. Don’t work in customer service if you don’t like people.

Blue Cedar is right in centre of Ballynahinch. Locally owned and the food is homebaked with a wide variety to choose from. Ample seating and for all weather. Variety of plants to pick from after you are finished your coffee.

Although this little bus station cafe is small and always busy because of those who are passing through, I can honestly say some of the best coffee in Downpatrick is served here. Very reasonably priced, and they have specials on regularly to suit the season. Even if you're not making a trip anywhere, stop here for a lovely brew and a fresh baked good or confectionary of your choice to carry you through your day.

Great as they are registered with Coeliac UK, which means they cook my pizza separate and safely. Staff very pleasant.
