The best restaurants in Down South Eastern NI

Had a fantastic dinner in Aldo’s, where they were very kindly able to squeeze me in without a booking. Food was amazing and service equally good! Well worth travelling for!

Food is bad got a chicken burger the batter was a hard as the road and the chicken very dry not good at all would not recommend

Unfortunately Holly's has now closed, as the food, drinks and service were excellent, however the baker has recently opened "Abundant Coffee and Treats" in the same premises and maintains the same high standards.

My car broke down and I had no signal. The staff helped me to get recovery organised. Brownies were great as well. They went above and beyond.

Lovely restaurant in Newcastle. Lovely food and £5 cocktails on a Friday, but front of house staff steal the show, excellent service, thank you.

Great little cafe near the water. A spot in the sun with the morning sun and a delicious coffee and breakfast was served real morning treat.

Went in August and got the Caesar salad and was amazed by the large pieces of fresh chicken in it and the presentation. Went back for the first time yesterday and was very disappointed to receive greasy battered chicken pieces in my salad instead of fresh chicken. the reason I chose the salad was cause I wanted something lighter and it was the first time Ive ever had fried chicken in a salad. Wouldn't order it again.

Beautiful country bar and restaurant

Wow, cakes are out of this world. There's not many seats, but I'll definitely be back. Calories galore, but it all tastes so good.

Called at cafe on wed 4/12/24 with friend and had the" Brunch" on the menu and a tea for 2 .Great service friendly staff and the place had a nice ambience,Neal was beautiful and reasonably priced would recommend highly .

Really friendly staff help guide us to our pizzas of choice. We struggled to finish the amazing pizzas. But look forward to finishing the left overs!

Received a lunch box through outside catering at the Downpatrick cathedral. A fresh homemade selection of sandwiches, chicken bap, bun, watermelon cracker and cheese, delicious and very much appreciated after our Saint Patrick's walk. Many thanks.

Food was excellent, very clean place, staff was very friendly, definitely come back.

I firmly believe that the prices charged at Picnic are too high for what you get by the way of the food and coffee.The food is okay for a deli come cafe but on occasions can lack consistency. You try something and enjoy and the next time it is not quite the same which results in dissapointment. Maybe it is just down to a different member of staff putting together the dish.
