The best restaurants in Down South Eastern NI

Having visited Graphite about a month ago we were super excited to visit again, oh what a mistake the menu had changed and so had the quality of the food. We were extremely disappointed, I have since found out the previous chefs have left and this is obviously the reason. We would certainly not return.

*THIS WAS WRITTEN BY THE DAUGHTER* Went here tonight with friends. Food was meh but my female friend had the Philly Cheesesteak and the beef, oh god the beef! Ya call that beef?!?! She barely ate it. My third female friend got a main that had WAY too much mashed potato. Also my other female friend only got the chocolate cake and we got our food then we were waiting and waiting and I asked a waitress “Why isn’t {my other female friend’s name}‘s chocolate cake here yet?” and the waitress said “It’s a dessert so it’s later.” The ATTITUDE was disgraceful and the fact that my other female friend was hungry until it arrived and I had eaten half of my chicken strips was upsetting! I’m a fast eater though. Promised chicken nuggets got chicken strips.The bathrooms had obviously hadn’t been cleaned. Stinky loo. After this experience we probably won’t be back.

Top class service from great staff everytime we go here it' gets better young manager Adam brilliant they know how to look after people

Went in August and got the Caesar salad and was amazed by the large pieces of fresh chicken in it and the presentation. Went back for the first time yesterday and was very disappointed to receive greasy battered chicken pieces in my salad instead of fresh chicken. the reason I chose the salad was cause I wanted something lighter and it was the first time Ive ever had fried chicken in a salad. Wouldn't order it again.

Called at cafe on wed 4/12/24 with friend and had the" Brunch" on the menu and a tea for 2 .Great service friendly staff and the place had a nice ambience,Neal was beautiful and reasonably priced would recommend highly .

A bit soggy, to much sous. The dough wasn’t finished… But good topping.

Received a lunch box through outside catering at the Downpatrick cathedral. A fresh homemade selection of sandwiches, chicken bap, bun, watermelon cracker and cheese, delicious and very much appreciated after our Saint Patrick's walk. Many thanks.

Food was excellent, very clean place, staff was very friendly, definitely come back.

Food full of grease. Takeaway bag was saturated. Little to no chicken all batter that was grease filled. Sauce was like vinegar and price was 20% more than others in the area. Total rubbish. How this place has 4+ stars is a mystery. Worth a miss.

Fantastic breakfast here .. could not fault.. will definitely will be back in the near future.. well worth a visit if your in the area ..

Great wee gem tasty food great value lovely staff and very clean. A hard place to beat.
