We finally stopped in here for breakfast, and my only complaint is that it took us so long to try it. I had the granola pot and a flat white, the berries were delicious and fresh, yoghurt was creamy but the show stealer was the homemade granola! It had a hint of cinnamon and was just great. My partner had the brioche and he was very impressed. We had two traybakes and two scones to take away, and everything was excellent. Already looking at their instagram to decide what we will try next time. Also to top it off - service was great too! Really enjoyed everything, thank you!

Stoped in for a coffee and had a bagel with ham, cheesy and tomato. It was heated and was probably the nicest bagel I have ever had, it wasn’t dry and was so juicy. Staff were very friendly. There’s only seating in two different areas for 5 people which is I pity. They were also baking bread when we were there and the smell filtering through the place was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

It's been a while since I reviewed my favourite coffee shop and there is a reason for this. It is STILL my favourite coffee shop. Great coffee, food is incredible and the staff are always so good humoured, funny and kind. Continues to provide the best coffee around the area. Unfortunately the poached eggs are no longer available but still has tasty bagels and brioche bun with BBQ pulled ham as savory options plus excellent scones, cakes, traybakes etc. Very limited seating outside plus booth inside providing very limited seating inside but good take away options. Now open every day. Covid precautions well thought out and implemented making best use of limited space. Still best place around for coffee. Still in business despite 1 review stating otherwise (lovelove designs is next door). Original review -Good food and the best coffee I have ever experienced in Northern Ireland. This small carryout facility enjoys a good reputation with the (primarily) indigenous folk of "The Hinch Town"----which is fair and just for on average a visit of say 5 minutes or so depending on how many citizens are waiting to acquire their coffee / scone / small tasties etc etc. Thus it is not on a level playing field with (by way of example purposes only and no more) the sit in eating establishments in the town of Ballynahinch. Reasons being such as. No table service and all that that entails. No washroom facility. SO IT IS THE CATEGORY LISTING ON "TRIP ADVISOR" THAT IS NOT ACCURATE. Hollys as a carryout venue is "spot on" and no more & no less.

Don't often get round to Ballynahinch, but when I do I always make time for the coffee at Holly's. I think it is one of the best places to get a coffee in County Down and those treats and tray bakes they make are very hard to beat. And there is so much variety for people with a sweet tooth from shortbread, bakewells, caramel squares, carrot cake, coffee cake, brownies, cream swirls and so much more, and all made within the cafe itself. So if you ever near Ballynahinch I suggest you swing by this local establishment.

Hollys —- well concise it is - not complicated it is— at present due to the beast from the east in bacteria guise marauding in our midst — Hollys does what it says on the tin. Recently I was working in the little market town of Ballynahinch and I happened to pass this little small shop front along Main Street called Holly's Coffee. It was probably the smallest shop front on the entire Main Street so I went in for a bit of lunch before heading back to the office. Inside was a welcoming cafe with lovely staff and dressed in a rustic wooden decorated interior with a few tables occupying one side of the cafe. I got a toastie with pulled pork, melted cheese, rocket and tomato chutney with a nice chocolately mocha and a slice of creamy vanilla and raspberry jam cake for a Friday treat. Overall it was a lovely experience and I can't wait for another little Friday treat at Holly's Coffee Company.

I had a couple hours to spare in Ballynahinch whilst my daughter visited a local school open morning. Popped in for a coffee to do a little work and pass the time. The coffee was lovely but the highlight was the scone. I went for the blueberry option and it was quite simply one of the best scones I have every tasted. If I wasn't behaving myself I would certainly have went back for seconds. Nice atmosphere and very welcoming staff. I have visited Holly’s on a number of occasions now and whilst the food is often delicious the staff more often than not seem disinterested and unable to cope with small amounts of customers. On my last visit I did notice that my coffee took a very long time to arrive and when it did it was lukewarm. The staff however are very pleasant, maybe just needing a little more training or extra help in moving things along when the cafe is busy.

This place deserves more than 5 stars!! Came here for a belated special birthday lunch and had a wonderful vegetarian meal. There were great menu choices with separate children and veggie/vegan menus and I struggled to choose as spoilt for choice. In the end I went for the Korean cauliflower and chargrilled celeriac, with both being delicious. Don't really see celeriac on menus and there was a Cajun roasted version on the main menu, which I was pleased my son chose so could have a taste. My son's pumpkin soup of the day was delicious as was my husband's prawn and salmon dishes. My daughter ate from the children's menu and declared her garlic bread being some of the best she has tasted and the kitchen kindly did a meat free Sunday roast, which she loved. I was too full for pudding but did have a taste of what everyone else went for. Service throughout was fantastic. Great to find somewhere so nice with a varied menu and suitable for the whole family.
