Best pizza i ever ate even better than in Greece, for such a small place a huge surprise we loved it

Great food, quick and pleasant service and we managed to get a table within 5mins.

Pizza was delicious as always. Lasagne was always a firm favourite but slightly disappointed in it this time. Portion size was definitely smaller than any other time we have visited and the rest of the dish was filled with the tomato sauce to bulk it out. Garlic dip was delicious. Staff were lovely and despite the large crowds getting food to take away they remained pleasant and managed to maintain their smiles. Piccolo never fails to provide good food. Worth a drive to Newcastle for a visit here alone!

Amazing energy and amazing food.

Was in Newcastle with my daughter and we both decided we'd like a pizza. Googled where we could go and decided on Piccolo Kitchen. Ordered two pizzas which were made from scratch with quality ingredients. A really nice touch was, although we ordered 2 pizzas we were given 3 - it was explained to us that the chef thought one was slightly over cooked and he made another one and they gave us the third pizza at no extra cost anyway. Honestly, all of the pizzas were delicious and I think the gesture demonstrated their desire to serve the best pizza they could - top marks for it!! As you can see from the photos the hygiene rating is 5 which is reassuring. Great experience and if you're looking for authentic pizzas I highly recommend it.

One of the nicest Pizzas I've had in Ireland!

We've been there first time and it was our random choice. We were nicely surprised with the food. Pizza was made from fresh ingredients and very tasty. We also ordered chicken goujons, chicken wings and chips which were fresh as well, crispy and tender. The garlic sauce was first class! Thick and full of flavour. Customer service (a young brunette served us) was welcoming, friendly and helpful with choices and organising table for us even though it was busy evening. The place is small but we and other family fit in with prams 😉

Lovely staff but omg the pizza with the wood smoke smell. My grandson on a visit from Brazil and travelling the world to sample pizzas 😋 said his best pizza ever 👍👍👍

The place to go in Newcastle for great Pizza unfortunately they no longer do their great burger and chip take away.

Stopped by for a lunch with my son, pizza Milano was great, chicken gujons with fries freshly prepared and crunchy, even made to find a table for sit in, nice staff, fast service, good to know whe when come again in Newcastle

Myself and my partner got food poisoning from the takeaway pizzas. Do not go!!

Any time I ordered the pizza, it was delicious, but whatever you do, do not order Carbonara. It's microwave preheat, most disgusting thing I've ever tasted. Pity, as have been many times in Italy and know how delicious Carbonara can be.

Nice food and not long to wait for food to be served. Been a few times and only once I didn't have to wait on a table.. Very busy little place. Order at till and find a table if any availabile.. Once ur order is call u collect from til and tidy up after yourself. None of this is an issue for me. If u were less able it could be an issue plus I would also say not much room for a wheelchair. When eating I would say u are conscious of others waiting for your table so not somewhere u would sit for a long time and people watch.

Took just shy of an hour to get my food

Pizza was burnt and inedible around the edges. Minimum quantity of toppings and asked for cherry tomatoes which were just scattered on the pizza after it had been cooked. Not worth it.

It's good pizza. It's a sit in rather than a dine in experience. I've been here a couple of times and the quality has been consistent.

The busiest pizza place, the turn around and high quality food is unbelievable!!! First time trying tonight, placing our order was easy with a friendly welcome! Myself and the kids got to watch the pizza dough rolled out, prepped and cooked which we all loved!!! The pizza was amazing!!!!! Cannot wait to try again!!!! One of the pizza chefs waved at the kids which made them so happy!!! Definitely a child friendly place!!! Honestly cannot recommend enough!!!

Pizzas were great, sauce and toppings were nice, cheese wasn't the best. The pasta wasn't good. It was overcooked and almost tasted microwaved. I would go back however and give it a second go for comparison. It was rather expensive for all it was too.

The pomodoro (which I think was the only vegan option) was tasty - crispy crust, nice tomato sauce. Service was fast too.

Ordered pizzas for takeaway via the website, which wasn't the most user-friendly experience. It's probably better ordering over the phone. Tried pizzas here a few times and they are nice enough. Usually a fan of anchovies and artichoke on pizzas, but they really didn't taste nice from here on the one occasion i got them. In the end, I had to pick them off the pizza as they spoiled it.

I can safely say that this was the best woodfired pizza I've ever had. The pizza and garlic bread pizza were cooked to perfection and tasted really fresh. The pasta dishes that came out to other tables looked delicious. I'll definitely be driving from Belfast again just to get pizza and maybe to try the pasta dishes.

Stopped by this place looking for a delicious takeaway pizza. Made our own vegetarian pizza, by choosing the ingredients available on the menu. The staff is super friendly and the pizza was fresh, tasty and so enjoyable. Would I recommend this place? Yes, yes and yes😊😊🍕

We ordered few pizzas and 3or4 pasta dishes. But non of it had any flavour we had to put so much salt on. Person who made my carbonara was probably a kitchen porter. That was one horrible looking dog food. For £8.90 i got 5 little strips of bacon with penne stuck together and something what they called parmesan cream but i think kitchen porter forgot to put parmesan in or maybe he thought parmesan is cream I don’t know. Its sad. The place has so much potential with wood fire owen and good chef you can do so much but right now its fail. Pizza looks good but again no flavour. We paid around £70 but left most of it in there. Size of pasta portions will not feed a child not an adult.

Has become our regular spot for a post-hike re-fuel. Pizzas are top notch!

Excellent pizzas and chips. 10/10. One of very few places I've found a pomodoro (marinara) pizza with no cheese on the menu. Kids were very happy with the food.

Amazing range of food - their wood fired pizzas are made to perfection with good sizing available, their burgers are a great size and taste delicious, chips are cooked well and the lasagne is a great size and tasted brilliant. The staff have been friendly everytime and the food is served both for takeaway and sit in at a great time! Wish it had a bigger sit-in area but not the premises fault for that! It is the first place I order out of everytime I am here for dinner.

Fantastic pizzas - really good dough produces a great tasting base. A proper pizza. Good choice and varied menu of options. Great service and no long waits. Couldn't recommend enough.

First time having a Piccolo pizza.. It was lovely and will definitely be back. Price, service and quality!!

Staff excellent pizza yum just the right amount of stuff on it

Me and my partner ordered in advance for our two pizzas thinking it would be ready when we arrived, but faced a half hour wait upon arrival (this can be excused because it was a busy saturday evening and new regulations had just been put in place). When we received our food it was luke warm at best, which to me says that it was sitting for a while unnoticed. We got back to our accommodation and re heated the pizzas, but even then I could only describe it as average at best. The dough was very chewy (this couldve been due to the reheating) and the flavour just wasnt there- there was no real distinctive flavours or textures. To the restaurant's defence, the cheese was delicious- really creamy and melty, but everything else was only sub par. If the food came hot I would've easily given 3 stars.

Always love the pizzas in here when in Newcastle, only place I would go to for a pizza in and around this area.

Very good pizza. The dough is crispy with a bit of a chew and there are decent sized air pockets in the crust. I got a margarita and added parma ham, very tasty but I would've liked buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil with olive oil.

Omg the best pizzas! There it's a fairly good setup for social distancing. The flavour selection is great....and as an anchovy lover its thee only pizza place that can satisfy the craving....the dough is beautiful....our family actually eat the crusts.....goats cheese, black olives.....through to plain but tasty margarita! So your pizza can be as plain or pretentious as you like!!! Delish!

Honestly the best pizza I've ever eaten, and I've had my share of different pizzerias. So fresh, ingredients are perfect and sauce-to-cheese ratio is superb.

Terrific pizza, recommend the Piccolo Della Casa or build your own - both fantastic value. The best thing about this takeaway is the wee side order chicken goujons - 4 delicious pieces and loads of chips thrown in for free! Great service & such good value for money. Thanks Piccolo for great lockdown weekend food!
